What’s worse than an office party celebrating the end of the fiscal year? Murder. Murder is worse.Audit Team Six have made a name for themselves by saving worlds and working tirelessly to protect the Tree of Souls. Now, trouble has followed them home to the Department of Dungeon Efficiency's home office.

Someone called the Web Wizard has turned their cubicles into a dungeon. Instead of the Monday blues, there are giant crimson flaming spiders and a huge green flesh-eating worm.

It’s time to call HR because there are compliance issues. Big-time.

Cal and his team are going up against not one, not two, but five office-related dungeons to stop a mysterious villain from ascending to godhood and destroying over a thousand worlds in the process.

It’s time to dungeon like they’ve never dungeoned before.

It’s time for Comptroller Carnage!

Aaron Michael Ritchey was born with Colorado thunderstorms in his soul. He's sought shelter as a world traveler, an endurance athlete, a story addict, and even gave serious thought to becoming a Roman Catholic priest. After too brief a time in Paris, he moved back to the American West and lives semi-comfortably with three forces of nature: a little, blonde hurricane, an artistic tornado, and a beautiful, beautiful blizzard.

I’ve been enjoying this series so, so much. The authors have such a way of showing what goes on at every turn that you find yourself immersed in the story they’ve created from the get-go.

I’m a lover of all things LitRPG and GameLit. This book has all those elements and more, piquing the readers interest from the moment they begin reading.

I love the fact that they’ve taken an unconventional role and shaped it in such a way that it actually makes sense. Sure, there are things that make you go, “Hmmm?” throughout the book, yet they lend the story they’re trying to show you a more intriguing element. Who wouldn’t want to fight with various types of forks and household items? What’s not to love about having everyday items at your disposal, helping you get the job done at every turn?

The creativity the authors have injected into this book and the series itself is phenomenal. I’ve honestly been enjoying Cal’s and the rest of his team’s shenanigans. In the Weavelord’s many eyes, he and his friends are the lowest of the low. They’re good-for-nothings, even in the accounting world. Yet, they’ve been proving they can get the job done. Granted, their methods of doing so aren’t quite what DUDE deems proper. Nevertheless, they’re ready to hand those in need a helping hand in order to achieve an end to their own means, all in the hopes of saving the worlds are they know them.

Such is the world these characters live in. Chaotic, yet diverse, they make do with whatever they have at their disposal. I so can’t wait to see what else the authors bring to the table for Cal and his friends. I suspect there are more stories to tell for them.

I just love Audit Team Six led by Cal Illudere who started off as dungeoneers but are now a dungeon working to save the tree of souls. Together they have saved many a world from destruction but this time around their troubles are coming from within their own headquarters. Who is threatening them all? And can Cal and his trusty team save them, when not one but five of their own nodes are being threatened. War is on big time, and our team cannot afford to lose. I loved this crazy dungeon core 3rd book in the series where nothing seems impossible. I particularly love Kronke who is such a good and heroic character, as well as Helga and Hurricane, her battle goat, I think they are hilarious and add a lovely touch to the series. All our characters are advancing through their heroic actions and I cannot wait to go on more dungeon adventures with them.

This time the dungeon happens inside the office. Jill jiardia was an absolute treat to read as someone who once worked with giardia lamblia. In this volume of audit team six the team uncover deeper plots and motivations, while also trying to free their coworkers from the thralls of the vanilla master. I appreciated the focus outside of Cal (I’m trying so hard not to spoil the third in a series).
