STEAMY, SEXY, HOT. A story about an American girl, five Brit boys, a stalker, one house, and a fight for The Crown.
I have the craziest feeling that someone is watching me.

I left my comfortable life in Queens, New York, on a scholarship to study on the other side of the Atlantic in a sleepy British town known for its ghosts, medieval castle, and cathedral. Some say the spirit of Charles Dickens haunts the streets after midnight.

I haven’t seen any ghosts, but I know someone stays hidden in the shadows, prowling my every move for the last two years.

But now, five alphaholes have transferred to my campus, acting like they run things here.

Stuff is happening, and I know it has something to do with them.

My life is slowly winding out of control, but I worked hard to be where I am. This is my final year, and I’ll be damned if anyone thinks they can make me leave.

You can take the girl out of Queens, but you can’t take the Queen out of me.

You don’t mess with Gena Russo and expect to get away with it.

Let the fight begin.

This Queen won’t share her crown with anyone.

"Great read! Loved the storyline and the setting. There was suspense, drama, a bit of humor, angst, and steam! The spicy scenes were hot!" Amazon reviewer

Rollercoaster From Start to Finish

This story went from 0 to 100 fast!!! Gena is studying abroad and is living in a house with 5 other housemates who happen to be British hotties. These 6 could not get along at first. This was truly an enemies to lovers back to enemies story. Talk about whiplash. One minute they all h3te each other the next she's in bed with 3 of the 5 only to end up h3ting all 5 again due to some misunderstanding.

As if the drama surrounding her housemates wasn't enough Gena has a stalker on her hands. She doesn't know who is a friend or who is a foe. While Gena is clueless about who this stalker could be the clues point to it being more than one person and one of those individuals is definitely a woman.....but who?

This books leave on a Cliffhanger that has left Gena is a very precarious situation and now that she has distanced herself from her 5 housemates she's on her own. Can't wait for Book 2 to see how the sassy, ballsy, New Yorker gets out of this situation and deal wit the all of her drama and baggage once and for all.

I deserve a reward for finishing this book. I was honestly so excited for it to come out. But it was so disappointing.

Gena is so goddamn unlikeable. She’s not fun, she’s not sweet, she’s not kind, she’s not a badass or anything like that.
But do you know what she is? A mentally unstable girl/woman who needs serious psychological help. She needs tons of hours with a therapist. She’s paranoid to the point of being manic, or maybe even being bipolar? And her obsession with revenge?? It’s insane, and not in the fun way.

She assumes the worst of people, makes up her mind of them or an even that happened and then she kind of spirals from there on out. She heard the guys had initially tried to get her out of the house so they could get it for themselves. Instead of talking to them, she assumes the worst. When they try to talk to her and kinda make peace with her, she assumes the worst, refuses to listen, makes up her own opinion of them and their character. Lays down the “law of the land” of how she expects things to be, and doesn’t listen to their expectations or wants. She’s a screaming, raving lunatic.
I don’t really see what the guys see in her.

The whole twin swap thing, was admittedly wrong. Jax should have come clean sooner. But dammit, she then gets this whole scenario into her head that they’re out to get her, this was all pre-planned, and all the guys was in on it. Not for a second sitting down to listen to what happened. And it never actually got talked about. She just kind of forgot it after they slept together again, and that was that.

With the whole rose situation, i get where the guys are coming from, but they should have told her, i agree with her, it’s her life and her situation. However, i get where they came from, as they have first row seats to her paranoia, manic episodes, panic attacks.

Also…. Why would you wanna have sex and sleep in the room where your stalker just spent, possibly, hours staring at you? That doesn’t make you brave or though. That makes you reckless and stupid.

That last confrontation with Kai, left such a bad taste in my mouth, my head, my whole body. She’s spiraling so badly, that when she hears they made a schedule for someone to always be with her, so that she is protected at all times, which he tells her… all she hears is that they’re stalking her, and they’re her supposed stalkers, and they’ve been doing all of that, the relationship, the protection, everything. To perpetuate this situation, to drive her out of the room. And then she runs away. And tells people that they’re stalking her…. People that fixed her room after it got destroyed , spent probably thousands on a new wardrobe, because hers got destroyed.. she tells Anais, that she can’t trust Jackson, her supposed best friend, because he’s been friendly with them, so now he must be on their side… seriously?

She tells her classmate, whatshername, they’re stalkers, and how horrible they are. And when they’re looking for her out of concern, BECAUSE SHE’S SO FUCKING CLEARLY SPIRALING INTO A MANIC OR BIPOLAR EPISODE, she points out; “see?? They’re stalking me!!!! They’re crazy!! I need to run and hide”… uhmmm what???

She broke up with Matt, because someone said they saw him with his ex gf. Didn’t wait to get and explanation, because it could have been completely different from what she assumed. But no, Gena is always right, and can’t possibly be wrong. If she didn’t wanna date him, and just be casual, she should have just told him. She went about that breakup so wrongly.

And another thing Anais and Jackson… are horrible friends…. And they’re enablers.

First off, they completely dismiss her concern of a stalker and has for years. It’s one thing to doubt her, but to completely invalidate her thoughts and feelings on this by calling her silly, and it’s just her imagination.
Shame on them.

Second of all, they’re not at all holding her accountable for her actions or words at all. Everytime she starts screaming, and raving on about the guys, and how she’s going to get them good and she’s the … queen???????? Someone should have stopped her. Told her to stop and just think for 5 min. Anais atleast tries to rein her in, for exampke when she wants to flirt with the norwegian viking, Aksel….. who has a gf, she’s like “a little flirting never hurt anyone”… you know he has a gf, who is definitely 100% not okay with it. Just because he’s a cheater, doesn’t mean you need to enable it. Anais, disapproved, so i was glad to see SOME moral.

With the whole bathroom incident, Anais and Jackson should have told her to flat out stop, what she was doing was completely out of bounds, with no reason, and insane. She knows people are gonna destroy the toilet, and it’s normal, and she was willing to risk getting kicked out of the house for that? Let’s not forget, that she almost sacrificed her scholarship to get the boys out. She’s so damn unstable that her actions could’ve list her the last few months before graduation, because she forgot about her scholarship, in her quest for unjust and unreasonable revenge? The guys didn’t, at any point do anything to merit her treating them this way. She’s completely unhinged.

If i had a friend who acted like her, I’d confront them and talk to them about, try and discreetly get them help. And if they acted towards people as she did, after I’d talked to them, I’d very seriously reconsider my friendship with them.

So yeah, safe to say, i really disliked the book. Not a single likeable character at all. I don’t understand the guys infatuation with her, other than she’s beautiful, gorgeous, so pretty etc. etc. etc…. There is not a single likeable thing about anyone in this book.

Gena is returning to London after a year long work study in New York. She’s back and so is her stalker. She schemed her way into a basement “apartment” in the elusive Clarence House. Unbeknownst to her, five guys who are a transplants from Maidstone will also make Clarence House their home. Spencer, Reed, Jax, Kai, and Cam made sure they had the house to themselves. The guys even attempted to get the unknown basement occupant kicked out of the house. That information made them the number one enemy of Gena.

Unfortunately for Gena, these five alpha holes are gorgeous and very protective. There is just something about them. They always seem to be around when she needs them and she needs them a lot. Gena is a free spirit and finds herself in an unlikely situation. Will she be able to handle these alpha holes? Gena is definitely not going to let them deter her from her goal. Will her stalker be forced to make himself known? She is obviously his and these guys are making his life hard. Gena was perfect and now they are messing everything up.

This book was steamy and an unexpected surprise. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series. It does end in a cliffhanger. Be prepared to clutch your pearls. Gena gets it done!

Gena is in her final year studying fashion in England. She's living in a village Charles Dickens is thought to haunt in the crown jewel of student housing. She's reunited with her two best friends on campus and is ready for a great year. So, when she finds out there are five guys in her house who don't want her, it's barely a blip on her radar. And the feeling she's being stalked? Nothing new. She's no dainty English rose, she's from Queens and is tougher than anyone could imagine. Nothing and no one is going to interfere with her plans.

This book is a bit of a mess. The characters can't settle on who they are, but likability doesn't seem of much importance. The story is disjointed. It reminds me of a light that pulses instead of giving off a steady light. Scenes escalate, characters overreact, then nothing. Hate. Lust. Hate. More than a dash of crazy. Not to mention the random stalker storyline. Imagination or reality, it's just accepted. This is beyond bizarre. Finally, I generally love inner monologue but Gena's wears thin. It's not quirky, vulnerable, intelligent, or random, it's sometimes contradictory and mostly obnoxious. Despite everything, the book drew me in. I plan to read the second book to see how the stalker angle plays out.

I’ve been anticipating this book’s release, and it did not disappoint. It’s spicy, steamy, and suspenseful. Gena is a stubborn badass, she’s impulsive and not afraid of confrontation, but she’s also had a stalker for years, so things are taking a different turn now that five guys have transferred over, and her stalker has started to act out with anger. She doesn’t trust the guys, and she’s also been burnt by love badly in the past, she mentions this several times. So add the stalker on top, and she’s wired for destruction. At the same time, she’s attracted to these new guys, so her mind is a clusterfuck of confusion. She comes out as brash, but Jax sees right through her and sees her vulnerability because he’s had to live through trauma through his brother. Gena is damaged and paranoid, she doesn’t trust anyone at this point, and the guys hiding things from her cause her mind to spiral out of control. This is a hate-to-love roommate trope with the added suspense of a stalker and ends on a plot twist cliffhanger. Can’t wait for book 2.

Loved the storyline and the setting.
There was suspense, drama, a bit of humor, angst and steam! The spicy scenes were hot!
It does start out a little slow, understandably so, to give the set up of each character. It does pick up pretty quickly after that. I like the guys. I'm not sure I can even pick a favorite. I think the author does a great job of making them each unique. I loved the banter between the guys as well.
Gena, was a complex character and FMC. She was strong and confident. She had moments of vulnerability, which I loved seeing. I definitely think she went through some growth and I think the guys helped with that. I liked Gena overall, but she frustrated me a few times, because I felt like she was too quick to assume the worst, instead of listening. At the same time, some of her reactions were understandable.
That ending...definitely left me wanting more!!!
This was my first read by this author and she didn't disappoint.

This suspenseful romance will have you sucked in and unable to look away from the first page! I loved Gena and her spunky fun attitude. The unique plot really drew me in to this book, I enjoyed how the author implemented the stalker aspect to this story making it creepy and building tension through out this read which has you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what’s going to happen to the fmc next. The cliff hanger ending has me wanting more and I can’t wait to read the next book! If you love angsty romances with the roommate trope, hot guys and a mystery then you need to pick this book up asap!

Spoilers:

I love this and yet I don’t.
Our FMC is brassy and bold and arrogant, but she’s also traumatized and vulnerable and kind hearted. It’s almost as if she’s two separate people at times because of the shift.
There are sprinkles of internalized misogyny. The MCs can be toxic at times. It’s intriguing but it’s also a mess and underneath all of that is a stalker plot.
The steam is well written and there are group scenes. Why Choose (No MM)
I like Gena’s confidence and independence. She doesn’t take anything lying down.
I’m on the fence but I think it has more to do with my personal preferences than it does with the book itself.

Ok so at first it starts out real slow while the author sets the scene...stick with it, I promise. I don't know whether I want to shake her or hug her. Those 5 "alphaholes" are amazing. I can't even place which one I like best, but I erring towards Jax, since he is the most protective of her from the beginning. Really I adore all 5 and can't blame her for not being able to choose.

Beware this book ends on a big ol'cliff hanger. Can't wait for book 2!

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Stalker, hot guys and a girl who needs to learn how to trust

Very descriptive, though it doesn't feel at the expense of the story, but it does give you a really great idea of location and characters. I also loved the footnotes that explained english colloquiallisms (sp)! I loved the guys and the change that they underwent after falling for Gena. On the other hand, Gena irritated me, she went from hot to cold to angry and jumped to some really stupid conclusions. But I really want to read book 2!

Amazing!

Mine is swelting hot, epic, and intense. There's humor and angst. Excellent all around. The author did a brilliant job with the multiple POVs and character building.

There is no glamorizing the realities of a stalker and what the effects can do to a single woman. I'm glad we get to see the real and confusing emotions the main character goes through. Makes the story more realistic.

Warning, the cliffhanger ending has a major turn of events but I read book two already and it's worth it.

I  really enjoyed this book. One badar$e Queen and 5 hot British alphaholes.. This had some angst, push and pull from both sides, steamy scenes and a stalker!

Gena is a take no sh#t type of girl. She could be quite ruthless but I actually love that about an fmc, especially in a why choose book. So many times we read about the mcs in books doing things and the fmc being way too forgiving so I loved this here. She does have some clear paranoia going on and it builds throughout the book. Having dealt with the feeling of being stalked for such a long time but never really knowing if it was true or not had left her reeling and it shows. She can't trust anyone.

I love the guys!. They want to take care of her and can see past her behaviour because they came to realise and understand why she would act the way she did. I enjoyed the building relationships and can't wait to read more about them all.

I need book two NOW 😫. I thought I had this pegged as to who was behind everything and with that ending I know I was very wrong!! I can't wait to read more.

The book started off ok but as the story progressed it kinda lost me. Gena was a really bitch. I did not like her at all. The way she treated the guys like she was someone better and they were just 💩on 👠. I really don’t want to continue onto book 2 but I need to see who the stalker is. I have my suspicions but I just want to know for sure. Hopefully Gena is redeemed in book 2 and not such a raging lunatic.

This was a page-turner.

It was completely unpredictable and I love this author's style of writing for this rh suspense book. Just when you think Gena settles she goes all 180 and we're back to hoping she finds the right path to stick with, but the more she gets upset the more the stalker strikes out at her. The are so many twists and turns in this story, how can you not cling to this book with dear life?

HOLY. SMOKES!!! This book was amazing!!! Gena is crazy girl but she can handle her 5 roommates, no problem. Gena is so stressed out from her stalker that she doesn't know what's true and what's not. This book is full of angst, suspense, and sexy alpha males. I can't believe I have to wait for book 2, but man, it's gonna be good.

Marian Andrew is a new author to me, and when I started this book, I needed some time to get the feel of it. But after a few chapters, she had me on board.
A book with five hot guys, what is not to like. It has a darker vibe attached, with the stalker in the book, but it gives an edge to the book.
Now I need book two to see how it continues.

Who is this woman? I don’t even think she knows who she is. At this point I think she has multiple psychiatric issues. I think she is her own stalker and she just has multiple personality disorder. Def goes down as one or the worst FMCs I’ve read. And the MCs blended together way too much. Don’t trust the good reviews on this one, skip it.

Well HOT DAMN!!! I absolutely loved this book. I love Gena's spunky attitude, she's definitely suffering from her stalker and doesn't know who to trust anymore. The hot guys are just awesome. For once I'm reading an RH where the guys aren't total a$$holes and the female character can hold her own. Cliffhanger ending and can't wait for book 2.

Brilliant! I loved Gena. Not every heroine needs to be perfectly badass. Gena is traumatized and it shows how she cannot trust anyone. I love how she manages to pull through as her character develops in Book 2. A perfect depiction of a woman overcoming personal and mental trauma, with the help of her dedicated and loyal men.

Talk about cliffhanger. It started off slow but by like chapter 5 I couldn't put it down. It had a perfect amount of spice mixed with drama. By the end I was guessing the stalker and I feel like I'm wrong. I really can't wait for the next one.

I love the plot, the pace, and the writing is done excellently. This is my first book by this author, but I'll be reading more. Without giving too much away-this covers more than one trope and in terms of Contemporary Reverse Harem-it's well worth the read.

It’s ok

The first part of this was difficult to get into. Then it started to get good. Gena is very immature, stupid, and a paranoid psycho. The guys are great, and I don’t understand what they see in her. The storyline is good, but Gena ruins the whole book. The spice is ok.
