Rate this book
Elizabeth 'Betti' Moretti was a much-loved singer, actor, artist and illustrator who died in 2023. Known as Lizzie to her friends, she used the name Betti for her artistic work and called Bewdley home, spending the last ten years of her life in the town.

Betti's artistic talents were wide ranging, including music as well as art. She was a gifted poet, as you will see in this posthumous collection celebrating her time as Worcestershire Poet Laureate 2018-2019.

Her career in film started out alongside Richard Patching in Hagley. She worked on children's programmes like Scratchy and Co before becoming a production assistant at Pebble Mill Studios. Later, she was production assistant for Off Grid an acclaimed film made in Bewdley.

Betti also loved community events and created animals including a bear for the Wild in Art town and city trails and a statue for Zandra Rhodes' Gratitude project supporting the NHS. Betti's work raised many thousands of pounds for charity.

Funny, down to earth little snippets of life. Bravery in the face of spiders, the downsides of getting older, trees, messy rooms and lots of love.
