If you’re looking for a super quick audiobook filled to the brim with betrayal, revenge, murder and infidelity then look no further than this juicy little tale! Everybody REALLY is a liar!

I loved the multiple POVs with a full cast narration AND sound effects. The ending took me by surprise, but left me with a little smirk on my face! I love, love, love a good revenge story!

3.5 ⭐️ Everybody Is a Liar by Liv Constantine

Unreliable characters? Check. Juicy drama? Check. Secrets and twists galore? Absolutely! Liv Constantine’s Everybody Is a Liar is a domestic thriller brimming with betrayal, revenge, and a therapist caught right in the heart of all the chaos.

The full-cast narration makes the audiobook extra fun, but I’ll admit, at first, I was a bit overwhelmed trying to keep track of the characters and plot. (I’m definitely someone who likes a physical book to follow along.) Once I got the hang of it, though, Julie’s messy life and Liza’s increasingly wild therapy sessions totally hooked me.

If you’re into small-town murder mysteries with everyone lying about everything, you’ll love this one. It’s full of juicy drama, shocking twists, and even a few predictable ones to keep things interesting.

🎧 Huge thanks to Libro.FM for the gifted audiobook!

the setup…
Julie Buckley is a successful writer married to Oliver, a plastic surgeon. Their marriage has dulled during the past year but recently she’s come to suspect he might be having an affair. After she takes steps to confirm it, Julie confides in her best friend Darby who recommends couple counseling. Julie and Oliver both attend and Liza, their therapist, seems to be helping. But then, someone is murdered and Liza begins to suspect that one of her patients may be involved, coming to the conclusion that everybody has lied.

the heart of the story…
Listen closely because all of the characters have a point of view and you’ll need to decide whether they’re reliable narrators. I got on the right track but still was unsure. It was intriguing from the onset and never let me go. Speculation was fun and listening for the lies was crucial.

the narration…
What a difference a full cast narration makes! The story is strong on its own but having multiple narrators for these characters was next level. And, some of my favorites are on the list. The storytelling was fantastic.

the bottom line…
This is a gem of a short story with a clever little ending. See if you can spot who’s being truthful…or not. Loved everything about it.

the definition of a popcorn thriller! 3-3.5 stars for me.

this full cast audiobook original was about ~3 hours and easy to get through in 1-2 sittings as i was doing errands and work around the house.

its a domestic thriller and gave major THE LAST MRS PARRISH vibes in a lot of ways. a few cringy moments and plot points but overall, it was entertaining. my main wish was that Saskia narrated more (maybe Liza’s POV?) iykyk—Saskia is my fave narrator :)

what i liked most was the ending. just when you think it’s wrapped up… its not!

if you’re looking to get into audiobooks or need a quick short book/“novella” before the end of the year, check this out!

What thriller reader doesn’t love Liv Constantine books. They are always full of shocking twists and unreliable characters and so fun to read.

Everybody is a Liar is a new audiobook with a full cast narration that is so easy to listen to in one gol at 3 hours and 23 minutes you will fly through it. A domestic thriller of revenge, murder and infidelity. A therapist in the middle of a crazy story with some shock and some predictable twists. Although some were easy to see coming, it is still so addictive.

Thanks to Libro.Fm and Penguin Random House Audio for my advanced copy to listen to. Out in November 12th.

If you are like me and have a hard time following a plot via audiobook, but absolutely CANNOT be left alone with only your own head while exercising/cooking/cleaning/working/whatever – then this one might be for you. It’s 100% predictable and terribly written, but got me through my walk when it was nineteen degrees outside, so it did its job.

Thank you PRHAudio for the complimentary audiobook!

This audiobook was great! I enjoyed the twists! It took me two tries to get into the story. At first I was confused by so many characters but once I got the hang of them, it was enjoyable. The ending was epic!

Julie was the wife of Oliver and the writer. Oliver was the doctor. Darby was the makeup artist and best friend of Julie also a neighbor. Liza was a therapist to Natalie and eventually to Julie and Oliver. Greg was a police and Liza's husband. Natalie said she was married to a man who constantly cheating on her but she still stayed with him. Greg has a daughter in the t-shirt business and Liza was the stepmom.

There's a story inside this book and it was written by Julie.

Readers followed Julie as she suspected Oliver of cheating. She eventually found the proofs. She told her friend Darby. Darby recommended Julie marriage counseling. Liza a therapist who saw Natalie and Julie among others. Julie found therapy helping and she was beginning to forgive her husband, until she found a message from his lover. Everything started to unravel when Julie was found murdered in her home.

I have read The Last Mrs. Parrish and loved it. I have to catch up with the author's other books soon!

Everybody Is a Liar by Liv Constantine was a 5-star listen for me. The pacing was spot-on, the story was entertaining, and I really enjoyed the multiple points of view.

It’s a short listen with a small cast of characters, which kept things tight and engaging. Liza, a therapist recommended by Darby, finds herself at the center of a mystery. Darby and Julie are friends. When a murder occurs, Liza begins to piece together what might have happened based on what each of her patients reveals in therapy.

Twisty, smart, and completely absorbing—I couldn’t stop listening.

I absolutely loved this book and finished in a single sitting highly recommend this to everyone that enjoys great twists. Julie and Oliver are trying to work on their marriage because Julie thinks he is cheating. She always confides in her friend and neighbor, Darby. They start attending couples therapy thanks to Darbys suggestion. The therapist, Liza, starts to find connections to a recent murder in the town. Isn’t all connected? Is Oliver telling the truth about being faithful?

Did you know Liv Constantine is a pen name for sisters Lynne & Valerie? I had the honor of interviewing them about their thriller “The Last Mrs. Parrish” AND also had the pleasure of them joining in while I interviewed @hankpryan ! We should do this again in 2025 ladies it was a blast!

💔Betrayal
💔Deceit
💔Cheating
💔Revenge

📝: “Take care of your man or someone else will.”

Julie Buckley begins to suspect her husband Oliver is cheating when she finds a man-scaping tool in his drawer. They’ve not slept together in 2 months so he’s clearly not been grooming himself for her!

Oliver is ALWAYS working late but he’s a plastic surgeon & the top in his field at that. Could Julie be looking too far into things since she frequently sits at home writing crime novels? Are the actions of the fictional characters she creates getting into her head & making her worry?

She tries to spend her time poolside & sipping coffee while chatting about life with her best friend Darby. But, when she finds damning evidence on Oliver’s tablet everything she thought she knew about her marriage is about to come crashing down.

The cast & sound effects in this book were a major slay! Funny story— I was shaving my legs late at night & just started listening… when Julie started typing in the book I nearly jumped out of my skin because it sounded like little bug legs crawling 🤣🪳

💭How long is TOO LONG to go without sleeping with your partner?
🙋🏻‍♀️: IMO when the intimacy is lost in a relationship & it isn’t due to a valid reason I think a conversation needs to be had. Sooner rather than later😬

Everybody is a liar is a fast paced, domestic thriller revolving around Julie, who suspects her husband has been unfaithful, and decides to visit a marriage counselor/therapist, Liza. The twists were predictable, but I still thoroughly enjoyed listening the audio book and finding out how everything unveiled.

I had a fun time listening to this audiobook! A few plot twists were a bit predictable but some caught me completely off guard. This was very short but it did a fantastic job at still feeling like a complete story. It took no time to get wrapped up the characters messy lives and this had a satisfying conclusion. I would highly recommend this audiobook because it included a full cast and also incorporated fun sound effects!

It’s entirely possible to pack an excellent thriller into a shirt audiobook. Peter Swanson, Karin Slaughter, Gillian Flynn, Stephen King and countless others have all done it. Liv Constantine has not.

This was probably the cheesiest audiobook I’ve read in a long time. The narrators were not my favourite, the dialogue was unrealistic and the little musical interludes between each chapter made the whole thing seem so dated.

The story itself was predictable other than the far fetched and totally unlikely twist at the end. The writing was sub par and several times felt like reading Frieda McFadden (not a compliment).

A mystery writer, Julia, with a cheating spouse and a therapist, Liza, tasked to help the troubled couple repair their marriage. Told from Julia and Liza’s perspective I was riveted from start to finish!

I had my suspicions about what was going on, but kept hoping for one thing and it didn't happen. While I liked the way justice was served, I was hoping for a different outcome.

Barrie Kreinik and Saskia Maarleveld are narrators I've enjoyed in the past, but the others are new-to-me and all were wonderful. The full cast of characters definitely enhanced the story.

I listened to an ALC courtesy of the publisher. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.

A new book by Liv Constantine! I think yes!!
I had to grab this one and I'm so glad I did. I loved listening to this, the narrator was fantastic, and the story was *Chefs Kiss*

"When Julie Buckley, a successful mystery writer, suspects her husband of cheating, she turns to her best friend, Darby, for advice. When Darby suggests couples therapy, Julie and Oliver find themselves discussing Oliver’s betrayal with their new therapist, Liza. Liza is competent and reassuring, and her advice and Oliver’s openness to change seem to be helping the couple rebuild their relationship."

Very suspicious, very catastrophic, very everybody is a liar.
