The Language of Divinity is an exemplary collection of spiritual poems with a blend of diverse meditative poems from Indian, European and American poets and wordsmiths.

The usual conscious experience of the divine is projected as prayers and hymns however in this beautifully curated collection, the poets have surpassed the commonality and achieved the magical and heavenly awareness of understanding and healing. These poems synthesize the pure essence and intentions of a person's life orbiting around the faith and beliefs in divinity and spirituality.

Divinely captivating, this collection brings forth a sense of profound dedication and commitment to God. The delicate words offer a pilgrimage to recognise one's soul devotion to the Almighty. Spiritual poetry transverse the planes of worldly desires to forge an eternal and pious path to believe in God. In this collection, I found that statement to be true. They unspool the reality that God is always present with you. He guides you through the ebb and flow of life.

The poems carry an enigmatic and immersive allure, crafted into its theology that accepts the divine presence in each and every thing. A mesmerizing synchronisation with the cords of divinity and faith awakening even the dormant souls. "The language of divinity" untangles the knots of confusion and desperation of mind and soothes it to be luminous in God's eternal grace.

It's a must read. And the reading experience will give you a podium to explore your own spirituality as well.

Book Summary: The Language of Divinity

I just finished reading The Language of Divinity, a soul-soothing collection of 24 spiritual poems, beautifully compiled and edited by Abhishek Thakkar and Purba Chakraborty. This book is like a sacred bouquet, where each poem is a fragrant offering of devotion, introspection, and divine connection.

What makes this collection truly special is the blend of contemporary and timeless wisdom. It features poems written by Abhishek Thakkar and Purba Chakraborty, along with profound works by Rabindranath Tagore and other poets, including When the Heart is Hard and Parched Up, Stream of Life, and the iconic Where the Mind is Without Fea by Rabindranath Tagore. These masterpieces add a deeper philosophical and spiritual dimension to the book, making it a bridge between the past and present.

Each poem resonates with a unique essence—some verses offer solace in times of doubt, while others awaken a sense of higher consciousness. The words flow like a meditative hymn, gently guiding the reader toward inner peace and divine realization.

As I turned the pages, I felt travelling beyond time, where every verse carried the whispers of the universe. It’s an experience of self-reflection, faith, and the boundless beauty of the soul and the universe.

Whether you seek inspiration, spiritual wisdom, or simply the joy of beautifully woven words, The Language of Divinity is a book that will leave an everlasting imprint on your heart.

The Language of Divinity is a remarkable collection of spiritual poems that bridge cultural divisions by tapping into the timeless wisdom shared by Indian, European and American poets. A beautiful compilation of poems that works as food for soul.

This book portrays a glimpse of the spiritual journey of life, giving readers an opportunity to pause and reflect upon their faith and beliefs. This collection reflects the divinity we all possess and help us to get closer to our Lord.

Through the poems, these complexities of life in the world are meticulously unveiled and then readers are led to a never-ending journey toward perfect spiritual liberation.

The poems unravel mental knots of confusion and despair, light the mind with an illumination of eternal grace that only God can bring in our life.

The Language of Divinity is not only a book to read. It is a spiritual experience. Not only is it essential poetry, but it also provides a refuge from our daily life. Few of the poems that I liked are Awake by Abhishek, My Eternal Mother by Purba, On His Blindness by John Milton and others as well. I would suggest reading one poem at a time when you read the book and then savor it for a while.

In Shiva's stillness, Krishna's grace,
A love divine, i find my place.
One in devotion, one in liberation,
Hari-Hara whispers, "Find Your Peace".

'The Language of Divinity' is a collection of Spiritual poems contirbuted by the compilers themselves and other Indian poets. In addition to this, it also contains poems by literary giants like John Donne, Andrew Marvell, Rabindranath Tagore, John Milton, Emily Dickinson, William Blake, William Wordsworth etc.

The book opens with a very beautiful poem by Dr. Amrita Pani. Its a poem on Lord Shiva and Lord Krishna in which she beautifully expresses the sides of both the God's. This is one of my fav poem from this book. In another poem Abhishek Thakkar writes about Lord Buddha and his teachings. Purba Chakraborty in her poem 'My Eternal Mother' writes about Maa Durga in which she beautifully expresses how Maa Durga is protecting her and showering her with love. Another one of my fav from this collection.

The other poems were equally good. The poems all describe a unique feeling and the unseen bond with the divine. There are also poems on themes of Nature's sacred beauty, humanity's search for meaning and purpose, the pursuit of transcendence etc. I like how this book is a mix of classic and modern poems. Although some poems didn't appeal to me that much, overall i liked reading this collection especially the poems on Krishna, Shiva and Maa Durga.
The language of poems by modern poets is easy but some may find hard to decipher the classic ones.

This book is a great effort by the author to provide a platform to many talented poets and writers whose voice need to be heard. Lastly let me appreciate the beautiful cover from which i cant take my eyes off.

This book will resonate with anyone who wants to delve into Spirituality.

The Language of Divinity by Abhishek Thakkar and Purba Chakravarti is a deeply reflective book that explores spirituality, healing, love, and self-discovery. It isn’t a traditional self-help book. Instead, it blends philosophy and poetry to guide readers toward understanding life and themselves. The writing feels like a quiet and personal conversation, making it comforting and relatable.

The authors talk about big ideas like forgiveness, peace, and connecting with the divine. What makes this book unique is how approachable it is. Even though it discusses deep concepts, the writing is simple and doesn’t feel overwhelming. It’s not trying to give you all the answers but instead encourages you to think and find your own.

One of the best things about the book is its poetic language. It’s filled with beautiful, thought-provoking lines that stay with you long after you read them. It’s the kind of book where you’ll want to highlight or bookmark several pages because they speak directly to your heart.

That said, some parts of the book can feel a little abstract. If you prefer books that are straightforward and practical, this one might feel challenging. However, for readers who love reflective, spiritual, or poetic writing, it’s a perfect match.

I would recommend The Language of Divinity to anyone who enjoys exploring life’s deeper meanings or needs a calming, introspective read. It’s ideal for quiet mornings, rainy afternoons, or any time you want to slow down and reflect. Also beginners who want to start their poetical journey can pick this book up!

Overall, I’d give this book 4 out of 5 stars. It’s beautifully written, meaningful, and stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page.
