If you love billionaire romances where he has a dirty mouth but protects what’s “his” then you have to read 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝘼𝙛𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙧 by Carly Phillips! This is book 5 in The Sterling Family standalone series. The FMC, Charlotte, is a single mom to twin girls and decides to live it up at her daughters’ father’s wedding and had a one night stand with the bride’s brother, Jared. Jared is a workaholic billionaire and doesn’t have time for a relationship or anything beyond a good time. Well, lightning strikes twice and Charlotte once again finds herself pregnant after a one night stand. Charlotte is determined to do this with or without Jared and values herself to be independent and not relying on anyone, since she’s never had family to be able to. I loved seeing the two sides of Jared, he comes off as a workaholic but once he finds out about Charlotte he’s 1000% in and wants to make things work with her. He wants to help take care of her and her twins and will do whatever it takes to break down her walls. Charlotte’s twins were an unexpected breath of fresh air with their commentary and very different personalities. I cracked up so much from them!
The audiobook is dual narrated by Connor Crais (swoon 🤣) and Samantha Cook. The audiobook was so good and I finished it in a few hours! I need to get the rest of the series now!

Just One More Affair is the 5th book in the Sterling Family series, but it can definitely be read as a standalone. This was my first book from this series, and I didn’t feel like I was missing anything. It was a very sweet, low angst, accidental pregnancy romance.
Charlotte, aka Charlie, previously had a one-night stand that led to an accidental pregnancy of twins with Noah. Now she has another one-night stand with the sexy billionaire Jared Sterling when she attends her twin's father’s wedding and gets pregnant again. She has been focusing on her career as an archaeologist but decides to return home after she finds out she is pregnant, and she wants to have more time with her twins.
Once Jared finds out about the pregnancy, he is all in. I loved his reaction and how supportive he was to Charlie. This man was a dream and completely stepped up for her. He was so sweet and protective.
Charlie is resistant to falling for Jared because she has been very independent, but she learns to accept his support and love. She has to deal with a drug addicted brother, which brings some suspense elements to the 3rd act, but I loved how Jared steps in to protect her.
One of my favorite things about this book was how well Charlie and Noah co-parented their twins and how Charlie had a great relationship with Noah’s wife. I love seeing that in romance because I get sick of the evil ex in every book.

This audiobook was narrated by Connor Crais and Samantha Cook. They both did an amazing job with the chemistry and connection of the characters. Connor Crais was perfect as the sweet and protective billionaire.

This story follows Charlotte, who attends a Sterling family wedding — and the groom just happens to be the father of her ten-year-old twins. She and Noah are navigating co-parenting and are just friends… but what happens when his brother-in-law catches her attention, leading to an unforgettable night that ends with a surprise?
I loved how quick and easy this story felt — it was fast-paced, but I really enjoyed it. I especially appreciated Charlotte’s positive co-parenting dynamic with Noah. He seems like such a sweet guy who genuinely wants the best for her.
Then there’s Jared — Noah’s brother-in-law. He’s a total gentleman and took the surprise news so well. He’s always been focused on his career, but he’s also always had a soft spot for Charlotte, even before the wedding. Their chemistry was amazing, and I loved how they worked through everything together alongside the family drama. I’m so glad it all worked out in the end.
Lastly I recommend the audiobook. Connor and Samantha were brilliant!

These are guilty pleasures but I didn’t care for this one as much as some of the other ones…. Or, I’m starting to see how they are similar or, I’m just in a crabby mood. I’m probably being generous with rounding up to three as far as the writing goes but I like the characters even though the plot seemed a little thin with this one.

Just One More Affair was another winner in the Sterling Family series from Carly Phillips. We get Charlotte "Charlie" Kendall and Jared Sterling's story this time, and I loved every single moment of their story.
Charlotte doesn't trust easily, but her attraction to Jared Sterling has been strong since the moment they first met. Jared has all the responsibilities of making sure his dad is taking care of himself and not overworking in their office, but can't get Charlotte out of his mind from the moment they first meet. When Charlotte tells him she is pregnant, Jared will do everything possible to care and protect Charlotte, her twin daughters, and their little one on the way.
I loved the chemistry between Charlotte and Jared from the very beginning. Like they had sparks between them even when they were across the room from one another and only got hotter the more time they are together. They also seemed to get one another like no one ever had before. I really just loved them as a couple from day one.
Carly Phillips knocked another one out of the park with Just One More Affair. I love her sexy romances for sure, but her family series are always my favorites every single time. I highly recommend this book and series to fans of contemporary romances.

Having always wanted to be an archaeologist, I was drawn to this story from the moment I read the blurb.
This was a well written, romantic and witty story that had me invested from the first chapter.
Coming back for the father of her twin girls wedding she has a night of passion with Jared.
When fate plays another trick on her, she finds herself in a complicated situation again. However fate has plans for people and it was entertaining to watched as this story played out.
Once again the Sterling family close ranks and rise to the occasion and I loved how Jared stepped up for Charlie.

This time, however, Jared isn’t content with just being her friend. He wants more and is doing everything he can to prove how good life could be if she accepted him as her partner. Charlie hasn’t had an easy life, and trusting people with her heart is hard — but Jared keeps showing up. Eventually, she sees just how much he cares for her, not just for her child.
This story is fast-paced, with lovely characters and a satisfying HEA. What more could we ask for?

Charlotte "Charlie" has bad luck (or good, depending on how you look at it) with ons's. This time, though, her baby daddy isn't content with just coparenting with her, no, Jared has real feelings for her, and wants more than just a platonic coparenting situation with her, like she has with her twins' dad, Noah. Now she will have to decide if she can let go of the walls she's built around herself and her heart, and let Jared in. If she does, they can have it all.
Jared can't remember the last time a woman got under his skin the way Charlotte does. And now she's pregnant with their baby, and he's going all in. No platonic relationship where he sees her when they changeover their baby. Nope. She's his and he's going to let her see it, in the sweetest way possible. He knows she doesn't have good luck with men, but he's about to change all that.
I'm used to billionaires being all alpha growly, and I admit to liking those kind of bbfs, but I have to say that Jared's take on that trait is whew! Sweet, gentle when necessary, and alpha in the bedroom, now that's my kind of man. And Charlotte's too, because she wasn't able to resist him for long, there's no way she would have been able to in the face of his determination, in the face of his obvious love for her, their soon to come baby, and her twins. I love how the Sterlings fall in love, now I'm excited to read as Aiden Sterling falls in love with Brooke next, when Just One More Time releases.

This book fell flat for me. I had such a hard time connecting with the characters, and they really just felt one-dimensional. The plot was predictable. Even so, I appreciate Carly Phillips and The Author Agency for sending me a copy to read and review.

Simple yet sexy story

Ah, Carly Phillips. Always delivering me the kind of sexy, sweet and romantic tales - with a healthy dose of big, happy families. This fifth book in the Sterling Family series features Jared Sterling who meets his match in Charlotte Kendall. Who also happens to be the mother of the children of Noah, the hero from the previous book, Just One More Temptation. It goes without saying - but I’m going to say it anyway - there’s no funny business with these couplings. It’s just a pair of exes that married a pair of siblings. All good. The romance in this story stands completely alone but characters from the previous books do appear - but since I’ve read all the previous books, I don’t know how confusing the relationships would be if you haven’t.
The last time Charlotte / Charlie had a one-night stand, she got pregnant with her twins (now 9 or 10). Having just returned to the States and looking to settle down, she indulges again with sexy Jared Sterling, her ex’s brother-in-law. And oops - it happened again. She doesn’t expect that Jared is standing by her side, and how determined he is to make her his, baby or no baby.
I really liked Charlotte and despite assuming she’d be a fairly hard, stubborn woman, the book showed her as being determined, independent but very much emotionally vulnerable. Having had to look out for herself, her walls are high - and she’s not ready to trust Jared just quite yet. But she admitted to herself when she realised her true feelings - and I was happy to root for her to finally get her happily ever after.
Jared was a delight, too. A billionaire (of course) and obviously determined and driven - but he was as cute as a button. Always looking out for Charlotte - taking care of her and just being exactly the man that she needed. That’s not to say he wasn’t possessive and, at times, a teensy bit overbearing - but I liked him immensely and thought he was the perfect match for Charlotte.
Carly Phillips always writes characters that are perfect for each other - and that includes both in and out the bedroom. She writes such sexy scenes that really add something to both the story and the relationship of our pair. Don’t let the fact that Charlotte is pregnant for the majority of this book fool you - our pair were hot and heavy with a high frequency - and it was enough to grab your fan to cool yourself down.
As always, Carly Phillips delivers a quick and heartfelt romance that is satisfying from beginning to end. Her characters always draw you in - relatable and so easy to root for. This story is about two people, perfect for each other, who just have to get on the same page in terms of what their relationship is. A simple story but made so interesting and absorbing by excellent writing. 5 stars.

Charlotte “Charlie” Kendall is back in town for the wedding of her ex (Noah) to Fallon Sterling—which is already a plot twist waiting to happen—and ends up having just one more affair with Jared Sterling, aka Fallon’s brother. Who also happens to be her twin daughters’ uncle. If this sounds delightfully messy, trust me—it is, and in the best, juiciest way.

Even when Charlie, hurt and hesitant from her past, puts up some serious emotional walls.
Their chemistry? Off. The. Charts. And there’s something undeniably moving and vulnerable about watching two people figure out how to build a future when life throws them a curveball (or a baby-shaped fastball). Charlotte’s guarded heart and Jared’s fierce determination make for a tension-filled but tender romance. Watching her slowly thaw and allow herself to be loved? Chef’s kiss.
Also, can we give a slow clap for the Sterling family? Loud, meddling, and completely lovable—this crew has a group chat I desperately want to be in. Charlotte, Jared & one big oops
Carly Phillips delivers another fabulous and entertaining story in JUST ONE MORE AFFAIR, book #5 in The Sterling Family series. It is a second chance, one night stand, single mum, billionaire romance with a huge "oops, I did it again" added in. This is a standalone story told in dual POVs and flows on from and is directly connected to the previous book, Just One More Temptation.

JUST ONE MORE AFFAIR was a quick read and one I thoroughly enjoyed. There was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, humour and tension, and plenty of heartfelt moments. I loved Jared. He was delicious, Charlotte was a tough little cookie, and then there was the extended Sterling family, they were so full of love with their arms out wide welcoming Charlotte into their fold. This book was another wonderful addition to this series.

A one night stand leads to a surprise baby and an unexpected love match for Charlotte (Charlie) and Jared. After finishing her archeological dig in Egypt, Charlotte is back in town ready to find a place of her own where her daughters will be living part time, and a new job. Charlotte, as he prefers to call her, also has a surprise for Jared, one that will bring some changes to his life. Charlotte is in for her own surprise. Jared is happy about the baby, but he means to do more than just co-parent. He means to claim Charlotte for his own and build a future that includes her twins too.
Jared and Charlotte have super-heated chemistry and a connection that scares her at first. She doesn’t trust love. No one has ever loved her enough to stay, to be there for her when she needed support. She believes that Jared wants the baby and wants to be a father, but she doubts that he really wants a future with her by his side. Jared understands her fears and doubts. He is patient, persistent and confident as he shows her that he is all in and ready to be both her partner and a father. He makes her feel seen, heard and understood, all of which she never thought possible for her.
There are so many other things to love about this book. I loved the easy rapport and comfortable bond between Charlie and Noah, the father of her twin daughters, as well as the friendship that is growing with Noah’s new wife (Jared’s sister). The well-being of the twins is a priority for all of them, which is admirable. Jared is also keen to have a good rapport with the twins, which makes the girls lucky to have four parental figures who work as a team to ensure their well-being. I also loved the closeness of Jared’s family who have welcomed Charlotte into their midst and given her the support and encouragement that her own family hasn’t given her since her Mom died when she was a teenager. Charlotte’s twi daughters are adorable, super curious and precocious. They add a lot of humour to this book.
All in all, this entertaining and spicy book is a joy to read. I highly recommend it.

This was a solid entry in this series!
A decade ago, Charlie Kendall had one night with Noah (the hero from the prior book), and shockingly got pregnant with twins. Those twin girls are now tweens, that she successfully co-parents with their dad, and she loves her work. She isn't really looking for anything else permanent in her life. But, at Noah's wedding, Charlie falls into bed with one of the bride's brothers, and then... oops, she did it again. Charlie can't believe this has happened to her twice, and she isn't sure how Jared is going to react.
Jared Sterling has wanted Charlotte Kendall since the first time he met her, and he can't believe his luck when they reconnect at his sister's wedding. He is shocked by her baby news, but he's also thrilled that this woman will now continue to be in his life, and he has time to really get to know her and explore what they could be together.
Charlie and Jared's sizzling connection was there was the first page, and the main issue standing between them was Charlie's past history and trust issues. She also has a hard time believing that Jared really wants her for her, apart from his baby she's carrying. Jared really does a lot of work to prove himself to her, and she has to take stock of her misgivings, and really work hard to let him in.
There's a side plot with Charlie's ne'er-do-well brother bringing trouble to her door, and of course that's a stark contrast against Jared's giant, wonderful family.
I really enjoy the consistency, light humor, found family, and hotness factor of this series, and I always have a great time reading them. The next one seems like it's an angsty second chance romance, which should be a fun change of pace!

4 Can She Trust His Love Stars!!
I love the Sterling Family and getting Jared Sterling’s story was such a fun read. I totally didn’t expect the woman he falls for to be the mother of his twin nieces, by marriage, and neither did he. But this man gets what he wants so when Charlotte (Charlie) is home for the wedding of his sister Fallon and Noah, the father of her twins, the attraction was immediate and they decided to explore that… and oh my stars these two are sizzling together!
Little did either of them know that their one night together would result in a lifelong commitment. I loved how Jared accepted how his life was about to change and really puts himself into Charlie and the twins’ life even if there is some reluctance. I have to give Charlie credit, she’s been hurt so much in the past she’s just not sure what to do with all the feelings and everything Jared is doing for her…and let me tell you it’s a lot, but in all the best ways!
The more I read this book, the more I fell in love with Jared. On the outside, he’s a serious and successful billionaire but on the inside, when it comes to Charlie and the girls, he becomes a different person, and his mission is to make Charlie trust him and his growing love for her. But this woman is stubborn and reluctant, and I loved to see her slowly begin to trust not only him, but the entire Sterling family. Once you’re in with this family, you’re in and it’s exactly what Charlie needed.
But their growing love isn’t a smooth ride and certain events added to their story and what becomes important to everyone. As much as I was sorry to see this book end, I know that we’ll be seeing everyone again in the next book because this family is all up in each other’s business and that’s just fine with me!

Just One More Affair is the next book in The Sterling Family series. While this is part of a series, you can read it as a standalone, however I do think it helps to have read the other books in the series.
Charlotte (Charlie) Kendall has been away for the past two years in Egypt on an archeological dig. She has twin girls who are 10 who have been with their father, with whom she has a great co-parenting relationship, while she's been away. She has missed them terribly and realizes how much she is missing as they continue to get older so she makes the decision to move back home.
Jared Sterling is a billionaire who is used to getting exactly what he wants. He's also a workaholic who doesn't give much thought to his personal life given how much he focuses on his work. When he ran into Charlie at his sister's wedding, they ended up spending the night together, but both of them expected that would be all it was going to be.
When Charlotte returns to the States, she returns with a pretty big surprise...she's pregnant with Jared's child. Once Jared is aware, he is all in, both for the baby and for Charlotte. The chemistry between Jared and Charlotte is undeniable and watching them navigate what it all means is very entertaining.
I really enjoyed this entire story and the addition of other family members and of course, the twins, made it that much more enjoyable!

This is the next book in the Sterling Family Series. I think this is a great option to have after the book prior because it links in Charlie (the female and the girls mother from the book before) and Jared (who happens to the the girls stepmothers brother). These two have know each other for a while because the history with her twin 10 year old daughters. However when they go to their wedding they decided to leave and they have an adventure of their own. Afterwards she goes back to her dig site and she found out she’s pregnant right before she comes home.
They meet up again and when she needs a place to stay she ends up renting an apartment from him. However, as she is seeing the apartment she tells him she’s pregnant. He jumps right into daddy mode and does everything he can for her.
One day her brother comes back and asks her for money and Jared doesn’t like it. However he is right by here when trouble starts and even goes with her when she tries to get her brother when something happens.
While I really enjoyed this book, I feel like we could have more to their love story. Maybe add more about them growing into more of a couple and getting ready for the baby. I feel like it ended to quickly after the thing with her brother and left me hanging. Would have the loved to see her grow a relationship with the girls stepmom since they were both pregnant at the same time, but it was only mentioned once in the whole book.

Charlotte and Jared were kind of a match made in heaven and found out that their one night stand after her ex-husband's wedding dropped a happy little accident onto her already full plate. Having a surprise baby with your ex-husbands new brother-in-law wasn't ideal but, in this situation she couldn't have gotten luckier. Jared despite not wanting to settle down and get married initially took to his baby daddy role and let his inner German shepherd vibes shine brightly. Charli who is guarded due to past hurts is a little hard to love, being the stubborn independent, I-Don't-Need-A-Man type of way quickly succumbs to Jared's persistence and overwhelmingly good intentions and just when things are heating up between the two. Charli's brother brings trouble to her doorstep forcing Charli and Jared to overcome fears that each have held on to for the majority of their lives.
I liked that we got to see characters from other books in this series and I loved the family dynamics how this sort of big, blended family comes together to support Charli and Jared was really special.
Overall, a thrilling read from start to finish! The connection between the main characters and later the suspense kept me hooked, with twists that I never saw coming. The characters are richly developed, and the tension builds beautifully, keeping you firmly planted in your seat. I would recommend this to friends!

While Charlotte was pursuing her archeological dreams in Egypt, she is grateful to have Noah to help her take care of the girls. While trying to enjoy the last day with her daughters, Charlotte spots Jared Sterling, the handsome Sterling brother that has been extra charming since the minute they met.
It’s evident that they have a connection, one that they would later on explore. Only time around, she would go back to Egypt only to find out that is is pregnant again and the father is thousand of miles away. It is then that Charlotte makes the decision to come back home to take care of her daughters and tell Jared that he is going to be a dad. She was definitely not expecting for Jared to be like Noah, he is set on to win her over no matter what. Yet, she fears that he is only worried for their baby and not really her. Yet, it would take a twist in events to prove to them that they might just be it for each other.
I absolutely loved reading Just One More Affair, after reading Just One More Temptation, I was happy to find out that Charlotte was going to get her own story. It’s been years since Charlotte had to be a single mom, she has been relying on herself even longer and that’s what has made her guard her heart. It’s hard to rely on other people, but Jared is different and the fact that he wants her to feel like she belongs in his life it’s difficult. Jared Sterling never expected to settle down anytime soon, not after working day-and-night at Sterling Investments. But seeing Charlotte again has him rethinking his own future, especially after he finds out that he is going to be a dad. Neither of them expected to develop strong feelings for each other and he vows to prove that he will never walk from them. I loved the interactions that we get from the rest of the family, Charlotte’s daughters quickly embrace Jared and it was sweet to see. The ending was perfect for them and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! :)

Just One More Affair is the fifth book in the Sterling Family series from Carly Phillips, and it's one that I've been looking forward to reading ever since I found out who it was going to be about. It's often been said that lightning rarely strikes twice, but don't tell Charlotte Kendall that. Her ten-year-old twin daughters, Dylan and Dakota, were the result of a one-time thing with their father, and while she has a great co-parenting setup with Noah Powers and his new wife, Fallon Sterling, she certainly wasn't expecting for her to get pregnant after a hot hook-up with Fallon's oldest brother! Billionaire Jared Sterling reassures Charlotte that he's all in, but she can't help the doubts that creep in. What will it take for her to see he wants more than just their baby, and what happens when her brother brings trouble their way?
There's a lot to like about Charlotte and Jared's story, the twist of Fallon being Charlotte's daughters' new stepmother AND Jared's sister just being one of them. Family dynamics is always a must when it comes to any series that involves one family, and I liked seeing how Jared was with his father and siblings. On the other hand, I empathized with Charlotte and how she wanted to have a strong relationship with her brother but needed to set boundaries given his issues. Jared is very much the alpha male main character you expect, but I loved the soft spot he had for Charlotte's twins, Dylan and Dakota. The romance was great, and the hint of suspense was like a good topping to round things off nicely. 4.5 stars for Just One More Affair.

JUST ONE MORE AFFAIR is book five in the Sterling Family series by Carly Phillips. This book features Charlotte Kendall, mother of twin girls with Noah Powers, who was married to Fallon Sterling. Charlie spent the night of Noah and Fallon’s wedding with Fallon’s older brother, Jared Sterling, before returning to her dig in Egypt. Neither expected their night together to be so unforgettable, and when Charlotte broke the news to Jared that she was accidentally pregnant again, Jared was determined not to let the opportunity for more go to waste. Charlie would have to decide whether she was going to keep running or jump in with both feet. This is an accidental pregnancy, billionaire, heroine in danger, found family, contemporary romance novel. At 260 pages, it is long enough to tell a complete story without getting bogged down unnecessarily. This author is very skilled at crafting a succinct love story with plenty of heat and heart and she has done so again with this book. I loved how quickly Jared embraced the sudden change in direction for his life, and how completely his large family supported both Jared and Charlie. Charlie and Noah’s twins continued to provide a dash of humor to the story. I recommend this book for readers who enjoy spicy contemporary romance novels including the tropes listed above.

It was crazy that Charlotte (Charlie) had a one night stand with Noah, got pregnant, and had twin girls. Charlie was very independent and insecure, but was determined to go on a dig that her mother had always wanted the two to go on together before she had died. The girls were older now and Noah was a sweetheart and told her to go on the dig while he as his now wife, Fallon Sterling, would watch the girls. Charlie came back for Noah and Fallon’s wedding and ended having a one night stand with Jared Sterling, Fallon’s brother. Just before Charlie left the dig to come back home, she found out she was pregnant again. I felt bad for her as she couldn’t believe it happened again and with Noah’s brother in law. Jared had not forgotten about Charlotte as he called her. He had been helping out with the family company after his father’s heart scare and didn’t feel like he had time for a relationship. Poor Charlotte had bad feelings of her father leaving her and her brother only getting in touch when he needed money. She had trust issues. I loved how Jared stepped up and wanted to take care of Charlotte. I loved the Sterling family and how they were always there for each other. My emotions were up and down as my heart was touched by their story. There was also some scary people after Charlotte that had me worried. I loved the ending and strongly encourage you to read the book.

Charlie (Charlotte) has been away most of the past 2 years in Egypt on an archeological dig. Her twin daughters are now 10 and she is ready to be home after missing them so much. I loved her adventurous spirit. I loved the way she cared for her girls. I really appreciated her co-parenting relationship with Noah and Fallon. A one-night stand at the wedding of her daughters’ father leads to a surprise that brings Jared fully into her life. Jared is such a good guy. He falls fast for Charlotte. He understands her and is very patient with her as she works through her own issues and lets down her walls. His family is terrific. He treats her like the queen she is until she can’t deny her feelings for him are true. I loved the heat between them. I adored the way they support each other as they adapt to major changes in their lives. This was an easy, romantic, fun read with a little heat mixed in.
