For years, medical researchers have worked to perfect the human body. Humans are living longer then ever. They have given the blind the ability to see, the deaf the ability to hear. Growing organs for transplants is no longer science fiction, but they go too far when they try to bring a person back from the dead.
After civilization has decayed into a society of rot, the survivors must join together to fight for control of a world overrun with the dead.
Jonathan is left to survive on his own when his father disappears into a horde of the undead. Now he must use his knowledge, and the help of his new friends, to bring a stop to the plague that is destroying the world.
Almost everything I want from a story about zombies. The zombies are not even reffered to as zombies, the characters have their own stories and are told in a way that doesn't make it seem like the author just threw it in there, everything flows together nicely, vivid details and story line with some twists that keeps the reader wanting more. I only stopped reading because I had to.
This was a very interesting and exciting book. The characters were well written and more than a few of them were fascinating. The author tells a good story with plenty of detail and a lot of viewpoints from different characters. I will add, this book can be gory at times. I really liked this book and the storytelling, but I had to deduct one star for a lack of resolution. I understand the concept of sequels, but I also believe the reader should be rewarded with something at the end. Something should have been resolved before leaving us with a teaser for the second book. The abrupt ending didn't sit well with me. Make me want to read the sequel, but don't force me to read it. Hopefully, there's some resolution in the second book, but I probably won't read it. I would encourage those interested in this book to read it for themselves as long as they're prepared to invest in the second book or even a third.
I really liked the way this book managed to translate how a zombie pandemic would affect people of all ages and from all walks of life. I also greatly respected the author for being willing to take big chances and take out characters the reader's have potentially become attached to at the most unexpected moments. I'm looking forward to reading the next book and see where it takes the remaining survivors!
I really loved this book. The characters were fleshed out well, and the story was engaging. There are plenty of twists and turns along with the right level of detail. This allowed me the freedom to visualize the people, and still the book is descriptive enough to guide me through the story line.I hope there is a book two! This is a must read for horror addicts like me.
I enjoyed the book. It was one of the best zombie books I've read. I'm not normally into the zombie books but this book was well written with the prefect balance of gory and storyline. Most of the time they are too gory and no storyline. The only reason this book got 4 stars instead of 5 is the multiple spelling and grammar errors. Overall a very good book.
