The Fae are unapologetically monstrous. And I just made a deal with their crown prince.
As the head of the human rebellion against the fae, Thayron is the last thing I need in my life.
Call it fate how we came to share a cell under the Deathbringer's capture, but I’m not staying. Rumor has it, the Deathbringers sacrifice humans to strengthen their necromancy powers, and Thayron is my only ticket to freedom.
He may be the lesser of two evils and devastatingly the fairer. But, wIth a moniker like “Blood Prince,” I must heed my parents’ Never trust a Fae.
I cling to us being nothing more than a brief and temporary alliance against a common enemy even as my heart rages war against everything I stand against. We mustn’t. It is forbidden.
But, with a bounty hunter on our tail and the dark forest turning more lethal with every step, we will have to look beyond our differences and risk it all to not only survive, but also save our cruel world from the undead. ----------------------------------- A Truce with the Blood Prince is a story of overcoming prejudices, defying fate, and an unlikely alliance turning to forbidden irresistible desires.
Loved it! This short hooked me from the start! I loved the enemies to allies to lovers vibes and how fast-paced the story was. I enjoyed the world as well with fae, humans, and deathbringers. I really look forward to hearing more about not only this new world but the characters as well.
I loved both Alisa and Thayron! Even with how short the story was I still felt able to connect with them and get a feel of who they are.
Lots of great tropes were in here as well like; enemies to allies to lovers, survival, fae/human, fighter FMC, royal magical MMC, sweet, action-packed, on the run, magic, forbidden romance, and so much more!
I wasn't sure about this one at the beginning. I absolutely loved the premise for this, but once I started, I wasn't so sure I was going to enjoy it. I felt like maybe I was missing something or a few things. And while I did enjoy it, I found it just a bit lacking.
I wish there has been a bit more added to the scenery around these two to give more of a sense of their emotions or vibes or more about their characters in general. They felt a little hollow, like they were only characters versus real people.
I enjoyed this novella, I just wish there had been more of it. I would've loved to read more about these two. Or to spend more time with them in each scene.
I did enjoy their connection though and I liked the ending.
Oh dear, this wasn't good one. It was something I might write in middle school. Maby it was ment to children? Don't know. Not like any good young adult book or not defenetly a dark romantacy. Won't read next one. So sorry.
Idea was fine. But story itself was very hollow, happenings were coming too quick and everything was just short. No real developing at anything, plot was naive. Very short book, novella.
This was fast paced to a flaw - no development or characterisation, no real conversation. It established that fae and human were mortal enemies and then these two became friends immediately and everyone accepted the Prince of the fae essentially with out question. The romance was just as rushed and lacked any real depth or interest
I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced novella with all its little quirks in-between. Although I think the connection between the two main characters could have been expanded on a tiny bit more, it was quite a great story.
Aside from a great story, I must commend on how wonderful the cover is. It feels exceptionally authentic and it fits the story perfectly.
I really liked the Romance and Bonding between the main characters, world building was very well done, Interesting characters, good story, the only cons in this was the main Antagonist, there's another one in the middle of the story, that one is better than the climax one, and I beleive the Blood Magic lacked an Impact. overall a good one day read 👍
It's a good, fast-paced short story and is a good introduction to the world the author's created. Thayron and Alisa are interesting, complex characters.
This is a dark romantasy that combines elements of fantasy, romance, and adventure. The story is set in a world where humans and fae are in constant conflict. The protagonist is the leader of the human rebellion against the fae, and she finds herself imprisoned alongside Thayron, the Fae crown prince. They form a temporary alliance to escape their captors, the Deathbringers, who are known for sacrificing humans to strengthen their necromancy powers. As they navigate through dangerous territories, including a dark forest, they must overcome their deep-seated prejudices and work together to survive. Throughout their journey, they face numerous challenges, including a bounty hunter on their trail and the ever-present threat of the undead. Despite their initial animosity, they begin to develop feelings for each other, leading to a forbidden romance. The story explores themes of overcoming prejudices, defying fate, and the complexities of love in a world filled with danger and darkness.
