The subtopic pretty much tells what's in it. In words and photographs, this slender volume tells about the first railway system to traverse North America. It is noteworthy in that Chinese workers--the people who actually BUILT the RR, as opposed to Crocker & company, who merely financed it--are both photographed and included in the telling. I kept it for many years because I wanted to use the photographs in class. It's a really nice resource for those interested in the topic.
