If the rating was based on strictly sexual content, this would be a five. It's SCORCHING hot. Seriously O.O. However, I need a little more than that. While this wasn't horrible in the story line department it was very much insta love and possessive. If it was just that I could probably deal (I'm an Alexa Riley fan after all) but then there's all the sharing. That would be ok usually depending on the context but the pretending not to like it while obviously liking and and expecting the double standard just doesn't sit well with me. Rya doesn't want Dimitri to sleep with other women. But SHE enjoys other people. Granted some of it was initiated by Dimitri but not always. There's this pretty thin resistance that just makes me roll my eyes. They take being with other people so lightly that I just couldn't really get into it. It's super sensual. It was hot as hell. I really can't take that away. Definitely had potential, but I couldn't bring myself to rate higher. Safety: OW and OM for the heroine with hero's blessing. Kissing with OW for the hero after he's with the heroine supposedly for show. No condoms except I think maybe the first time. Neither are Vs. No rape. Physical abuse to the heroine (not by the hero).

Dimitri Novikov, a member of the European BDSM delegation touring the US, is a high level Russian mobster who never gets close to any woman for fear they could be used as a pawn by rival gangs if it was thought he had feelings for her. When a fellow Dom asks Dimitri to take a sub that he purchased at the Submission's Wish Charity Auction off his hands for the week, Dimitri initially resists though his curiosity is peaked. Once he meets Rye he finds himself agreeing though he'll have to be careful not to be more than 'Master' playing with his generic sub.
Rya DeLuca was told her every fantasy as a sub would be fulfilled by the Dom who buys her at the auction only to find out that her Dom has feelings for another who doesn't appreciate sharing. Meeting a mysterious dynamic Dom, Rya finds herself agreeing to switch Doms for the week hoping to salvage her experience before having to return back to her life as the daughter of a high level MC biker and nurse.
This is one of my auto buy authors. Her style of providing a complex story line with highly developed BDSM play scenes make her books a pleasure to read. In this book she's pitted a Russian mob boss with a family member of a notorious MC biker gang. Can life get any better?
This would be the time for me to gush about how erotic, how suspenseful, how utterly perfect this book was for me so I will. The sexual tension between the two main characters was delicious and extremely well played. Rya is a strong female who is comfortable with her sexuality and needs. It's up to the Dom who would collar her to earn her submission and she wasn't gonna make that easy. It's a battle of the sexes BDSM style. :D
Loved the plot and subplot story lines going on. This is an author who delivers more than your money's worth in each and every book she pens. I do have to throw out a vague reference (non-spoiler code of conduct reader) that I was able to pick up on the cliffhanger ending slant fairly early into the read which I'm really very proud of.

For any prospective reader contemplating grabbing this read. It is a standalone installment though there are cameo interaction with characters from Ivan's Captive Submissive. The BDSM action is highly descriptive and frequent enough to please readers who appreciate adult content heavy reads. Luckily the length supports this without detracting from the action packed suspenseful story line. My one issue is that the cliffhanger ending has made me very anxious to get my hands on the next installment which has no release date in sight.

'Dimitri's Forbidden Submissive' by Ann Mayburn is book two in the "Submissive's Wish" series.
This is the story of Rya DeLuca and Dimitri Novikov. This can be a standalone book but I think it helps to enjoy the story more to read both books. I was tempted to give 3 or 3.5 but the hot scene and how much I love Ms. Mayburn writing stopped me. I am kind of old school in I like my heroine and hero to just be with each other...but I can see this working for this book.
Rya is the daughter of an outlaw biker...so she is kind of tough. Rya goes to the charity auction where you are auction off for a Dom/Sub experience. Rya and Dimitri are quickly attracted to each other but Dimitir is trying to protect Rya from certain danger he is involved in. But Rya is a strong, hard head, independent women. Dimitri is an Alpha male to the nth degree. He definitely is a man that gets what he wants. As soon as he saw Rya he wanted her. Little did she realize, she was his next conquest.
Rya fell for Dimitri equally as fast. From their first meeting you could feel a connection between the characters. I love that she was such a strong female character but her willingness to submit to Dimitri was beautiful. Since she is also switch, Dimitri was there to help her with her with those needs too.
I realize some women might not find Dimitri ‘s Alpha male appealing, but for those of us who do, I really thought this was a beautiful love story. Dimitri’s goal in life was to protect those he loves and cherishes in the crazy world in which he lived.
Ann did a great job setting up the next installment for the Submissive Wish series. Looking forward to reading about the rest of the family.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I was a little leery at first because there was an f/f scene and I thought - OK, I'm not going to like this because I'm definitely not an f/f fan! But it wasn't too bad and, in fact, was pretty hot because Dimitri was there watching the entire time.
There were a lot of things that clicked for me here in this book:
1) Hot alpha male dominant - CHECK!
2) Strong (both mentally & physically) female MC - CHECK!
3) She's from a biker MC and he's in the Russian mafia - CHECK!
4) Hot sexy scenes even with the 'sharing' of partners - CHECK!
5) Insta-love/lust - CHECK!
6) No cheating (on his part at least, but technically she didn't cheat without his knowledge) - CHECK!

Something gets my blood pumping when Russians are involved and Dimitri sure did get it rushing, "his hand convulsed on her hip and he said in a low, raspy voice. "Yes, little Rya, I am your Master. For the next two days you belong to me and only me. You are mine." He's just so damn sexy, "yes. You said I am a wolf hunting you and I agree. You are little, soft, and cute. I want to touch you, pet you. I want to eat my rabbit." And the boy doesn't share well, "listen to me very clearly, Alex. Ryan is my woman. If you cannot understand that I will not allow you around her." I really love this series and my a** sure loved Dimitri.

This book 2 in the series Dimitri and Rya's story.
Well I am loving this couple and I am still loving this series. Even if you do not like BDSM stories, this is a great read. I see the theme of BDSM as a vehicle to tell a love story. However, it is a BDSM story so there are BDSM activities and themes from that lifestyle.
I am loving this author she has me hooked. I loved this couple they do a lot of talking about their feelings for each and their relationship which I really enjoyed.
Before taking on Alex's story which a 2 book read I thought I would take a break from the series, the stories are really intense and totally engrossing, to me anyhow!!!
I would highly recommend this series if you can handle the BDSM theme!!!!

Two of my favorite things big yummy Russian who's a Dom. Man, Dimitri was seriously hot and yummy and so very protective of his little rabbit. Rya is no shy reserved sub, she's switch (just for females) and a biker's daughter, and very much in love with her Russian wolf. There's a bad guy to deal with and so much sex the story line almost gets lost. There's lots of sex with M/F/F/M, F/F, M/F. Plus we get to see Ivan and Gia again during this book. And there's a yummy bodyguard named Maks that I want more of. There's a little bit of unfinished business with the bad guy and Alex, Dimitri's brother. There is a bonus chapter that I could have done without that is Ivan and Gia.

Talk about intense, passionate and erotic. It’s all here in Dimitri Novikov. I loved his character and the plot twist to introduce Alexander’s book. The passion and friendship between Gia and Rya is sexy too, and it is refreshing to see women get along and they both have attentive and sexually experienced men for mates. They accept their Russian men for who they are and there isn’t any simpering or begging them to change. Great book!

This book has some sizzling sex scenes that are fan worthy. Meeting Dimitri in Ivan's book, I became curious and interested in his story. I really liked Rya. I felt these characters come alive. Their pain, angst, and love for one another became real to me. Their chemistry and love was so strong that I could feel it. This story pulled me in from the first page and I could not put the book down until I finished it. There was a scene or two where I wanted to throw the kindle because I did not care for them. I enjoyed this book though and it was a good read.

Wow! That's what I thought!
What a powerful and involving story...on all levels.
I fell in love with Dimitri and I laughed and cried with Rya.
The storyline involving the Russian "mob" was a new one to me and I found the background both fascinating and chilling.
I love Ann Mayburn's writing style and I literally couldn't put this book down once I'd started reading....hence the very late night!
Although this is #2 in the Submissive's Wish series it is standalone...and now I need to find #1 on my Kindle...and read it!

This is the second book in the Submissive’s Wish Book and can be read as a stand-alone. Rya is the daughter of an outlaw biker. Rya is auctioned off at the Submissive’s Wish Charity Auction but when the Dom who wins her falls for another submissive she ends up with Dimitri. Dimitri is all alpha and a sexy Dom they have an immediate connection. However Dimitri must let her go or risk her life being in danger the question is can he. This is a fast paced read with lots of drama and is very erotic. I wished the story had a bit better flow, however I did like it. Dimitri is one sexy Dom.

Once again a sizzling, hot, kindle melting BDSM Novel from Ann Mayburn!
The attraction between Rya and Dimitri is mesmerizing. The trials they go through were exquisitely detailed and I was total wrapped up in the story from page 1. I loved seeing Ivan and Gia (Ivan's Captive Submissive) again, it was really nice to see the interaction between the two couples outside of the dungeons.
I have read it twice now and still cannot get enough of these Russian Doms!

When you read an Ann Mayburn book, you will be hooked from the very beginning. I was reading this book everywhere from home to the gym, even read it in church. I am totally hooked on this series I can not wait for what happens next.

Did not finish. Stopped at 34%.
I'm definitely going to be in the minority here but, I found this to be so boring!! It's also not your typical Dom/Sub relationship. It's really PG for me. Moving on to something more enjoyable.

Speechless!! Smartly written and well crafted. Rya and Dimitri had such depth and I find myself wanting to date a Russian!! Couldn't finish it fast enough!! Wowza!!

Not a bad book, dirty, steamy and naughty in a good way. I really appreciate the strong heroine and her sass.
I have read some D/s books that involved spanking, whipping and various sexual practices, although I can not say I understand them, at least I was able to read about them without cringing. However, there is this scene in the book that the heroine merely went out into the courtyard without her bodyguard, or she simply went towards a homeless guy to help with the bodyguard a few feet away.
A simple act like that, was unsafe, according to the hero, and heroine needs to be punished by the bodyguard with hard spanks, not sexy-moaning spank, but hard spank that meant to 'teach her a lesson'. It was at this point I think the book had gone too far...
Also I think the book was getting draggy. It didn't end, it just kept going and going and the sex eventually became repetitive and boring.

Rya and Dimitri’s story was chock-a-block full of so much goodness! The gritty elements of mafia, the torrid scenes of bondage and submission, the twists and turns that come with falling in love. This author knows how to write life as I get lost in her stories each and every time…
Rya and Dimitri were an interesting pairing. Each strong and assertive in their own way, but realizing the give and take that was going to happen if they had any chance together. The twists were plentiful and so was the steam as they careened their way through each scene, closer to their goal…
The mafia elements were my favourite with it all coming together in an HEA I hoped for!

This sequel expands on the first story. This new couple is a bit nastier, and their troubles are more sinister. I still like that Rya is a strong and confident woman, and truly enjoys being a sub. She's not a brat, but her Dom needs to keep her under control. The erotic heat is high, but if you're looking for darker BDSM, it's not here.
The first book touched lightly on the Russian mafia politics, while this book dives in head first. There are some nasty bad guys. Dimitri is not someone to mess with, and he protects what's his.
The next book looks even nastier on the evil scale. I'll read it, but not right away.

Somehow I was expecting more intense of Dimitri. Probably because having myself some Russian blood and living amongs them.. Their temper is legendary and in here Dimitri was keeping it well together. Hmmm not likely.
Very confusing also the Masters scene and what role exactly Alex played.

A great second book in this Submissive's Wish series . This is my second Ann Mayburn read and I never thought it would be even better than the first one . Loved Dimitri & Rya's explosive and intriguing journey and can't wait to discover Alex story .
