Hanoi is renowned for its restaurants, culture and history.
But with so many different monuments, historical sights, restaurants, shops bars and nightlife to see, how can you make sure that you experience the best of everything Hanoi has to offer?
The 'My Top Five' series gives you the background and history on a city’s ‘must-see’ attractions, so that you can make the most of your trip. It also includes essential information, such as opening times and location.
However, each chapter gives you more than just the basics of the city's attractions, diving below the surface to lift the lid on some of the less well-known attractions, and helping you to discover the hidden Hanoi.
And of course, we don’t fill endless pages with hard-to-read maps and difficult-to-download photos; there are five chapters of text, one on each attraction, all written by our team of experienced travel writers.
No maps and some glaring typos (I wonder if the book was written by the locals actually), but there are some useful information on where to go and what to see. Some recommendations sound like ones you may see on brochures given by the tourist board, names and addresses and such, but I assume that's fine for starters and for those in rush. If you can get this booklet for free or for a reasonable price, sure, try it, you do not need much more on the spot anyway.
