When Santana and Amy come together to write a story unicorns are born, babies stop crying, and all the pillows in the world are on the cool side. I haven’t read a single thing from them that I haven’t completely loved.
This is a witchy, lore inspired tale and it blended seamlessly. Florencia Morales comes from a long line of very powerful witches and is one of her own right as a dream-walker. On All Hallows Eve, she believes she is sucked into a dream until she realizes that not only is she not in a dream, she is in a whole new land with two Gods fighting to call her theirs.
There is so much to love about this story. First and foremost is the mental illness representation. Having main characters with mental illness is so important and validating for so many readers. That being said, watching Florencia deal with her OCD and work through it was rad. I love to see sold growth in a characters personality and watch them overcome obstacles they never thought they would.
Now, when it comes to Elios and Zotz we definitely had some great growth and breakthroughs but HOT DAMN! weren’t these boys hot! Winged buff men fighting over me? YES PLEASE!!! And the spice be spicin’ y’all! This was like a 3.5 spice for me. Especially with us having some under experienced characters.

Um wow , I didn’t know how much I missed 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 books 🥵 This is the perfect ℌ𝔞𝔩𝔩𝔬𝔴𝔢𝔢𝔫 read with monsters, covens, gods, and of course my fav why choose-ish ( you’ll have to read to find out) 🫠 I defiantly want more and I’m sad to see it end! This was sent as an ARC read but life happened and reading anything was out on the back burner😭 I’m so sorry it took me this long but thank you for trusting me with your book 🥹♥️

october has always been my favorite month, but now it’s my favorite release month because the books have been so great! including this one!
anything by amy and santana is an auto arc sign up for me and especially because i loved the first book in this series….it was a no brainer.
Florencia is one of the Morales sisters, a super powerful coven of witches, who in the first book Mortal Desires, were destined (or cursed depending on the witch) to meet their soul mate on halloween. You don’t have to read the first book to understand this one, but you should because it’s also amazing 😅
ANYWAYYYYYYY! Florencia is transported to the realm of nightmares where she meets sexy but kind of scary bat looking Zotz who steals her away from his twin brother Elio who is her prophesied husband.
ugh Zotz! he’s the “bad” twin, the monster, the thing people fear while Elio is the golden child who gets everything and Zotz just really likes to fuck with him in anyway he can 😂 it made me so sad to read about how he thinks of himself 😭 total Beauty and the Beast moment and i just want to kiss it better 😝 he also have TWO monster peens and A TAIL! i mean HELLLOOOOOOO 🫦
now this MIGHT get a little spoilery but i won’t spoil the big twist just trust me when i say it’s safe 😂😂😂😂

when she gets there she touches Zotz arm and he mentions that no one has ever touched him so IM ASSUMING he’s a virgin…. Florencia is a virgin…. and Elio is a virgin. just a bunch of virgins.
Zotz and Florencia obviously fall in love and then he sends her away to Elio because it’s the right thing to do and she thinks he doesn’t want her anymore and she’s super attracted to Elio anyway so she goes and they get married and she teaches him sex because he’s never heard of it before AND I KNOW IT SOUNDS UNSAFE BUT ITS NOT I SWEAR JUST TRUST THE PROCESS 😭😭😭😭
she did a whole lot of things with Zotz but never full penetration of the peens until Elio and they bang all over the place she uses him as a way to get over Zotz kind of while actually falling for him also, but he has a secret and Elio sends her BACK to Zotz to protect her and this is all at like 85-90%

Wicked Schemes is a deliciously beautiful story with that’s 75% plot, 25% smut. Florencia Morales is a dream walker and gets sucked into people’s nightmares without trying. On All Hallow’s Eve, she ends up sucked into the biggest Nightmare of them all. Camazotz is quick to claim her, before Elio can even show up. Zotz is… 🙂↕️
This was my first PNR and honestly, I can see what the fuss is about for the monster f*ckers. 😅

4.5 ⭐️ This book has everything I want when it comes to a monster romance. A tail? Check. Double Peen? Check. Two Brothers/Gods? Check. This book is an amazing read for spooky season.
Florencia is our FMC who is a witch and has OCD. Both authors did an amazing job at depicting OCD within the book. I loved seeing Florencia flourish within the realm of nightmares (and dreams).
Camazotz is one of our MMC and he had me squealing like a little girl from the beginning. This God is so smooth with his words. I was giggling over everything he said.
I read this book in one sitting and I did not want to put it down. I love how all three characters help each other with their different traumas even without fully realizing it. I want to thank Santana Knox for this ARC as I really enjoyed reading it.

Honestly I didn’t know anything about this book prior to starting it…shocker 😂 but you’ll find an OCD witch who’s got 2 brothers fighting over her.
Florencia is a witch who had her first nightmare at a young age. She’s following the prophecy and is set to marry the god of dreams. But you’ve got twin brothers fighting for her attention. Florencia disappeared into the realm of Nightmares, controlled by Camazotz the brother of her apparent fated mate. Flo was an amazing FMC, she went though so much in her life but wouldn't give up, had to find out what was happening. Her powers were breathtaking 😍
It is Camazotz (Zotz) that she falls in love with. He is harsh, doesn't care about a mere witch that is fated to his brother. He wants her to spite him, but soon enough it turns to care, gentler touches and feelings towards the witch. Camazotz was amazing, a winged god, with a tail he knew how to use and a mouth to match his wickedness 🫠❤️🔥
Elio was a dream god, caring, attentive, making sure everything was like a dream for Flo, but soon enough we see its not a dream but illusion. The teaching scene and Flo's embarrassment had me laughing 🤣
The lore of the the realm of the gods was so good, I never wanted it to end. I love the background on what Flo was and how different she was compared to her sisters, how she fit with Zotz!

Can we focus on the “holy sh*t!” “wtf” and “everyone shut up it’s happening” mentality my brain circled for this one? The spice? She wasn’t as ✨spicy✨ as usual it when that spice slid in home oh it left an impression. We’ve got out FMC Flo who comes from a long line of witches and wakes up with 2 yes 2 hot af immortal gods wanting her. The mental triggers you wanna take into account for this cause it does build up into the plot but might trigger you as well and the story is on the shorter side with 222 pages. The overall hate to love you vibe, she’s mine…no she’s ours, tension build up along with Flos story is everything. These men are morally grey with a give no f—ks attitude and mischievous spark. Not a lot on the MFM but it pops up the epilogue at the end? Yeah that’ll be a sweet treat

This book was a little confusing at first from a reader standpoint but once it got to the main plot it was amazing and ended up making so much sense! I loved the aspect of the good and evil where there is more to the monsters than meet the eye. The nightmare and dream realms were like nothing I’ve ever read before and now I need character art!

This was such a wild and intense plot packed in a short book. This was the perfect monster romance complete with an MMC with 2 peens 👀... It had such a beautiful storyline, and it had me absolutely capitvated. The characters were interesting and unique, and the spice was chef's kiss!

This made me feel like I was reading a creation myth in first person POV (positive). I left the story with a strong feeling of wanting to learn so much more about the world and the magic system.

I loved the idea of this book, the characters were great and there were some deliciously spicy scenes but I found it a bit hard to follow. Don’t get me wrong, I adore Santana and Amy and their work usually sucks me in and destroys me for days (in the best way possible), but this sadly wasn’t the story for me. I was very excited to read a fantasy from these lovely ladies and it was by no means a bad book, the story just felt a little choppy and I got lost more than I would’ve liked. If you like dark fantasy I would still give it a read, like I said it’s not a bad story, just a little hard to follow in some parts. Make sure to check trigger warnings as well!

I wanted to DNF chapter one, and it never got better. This is some incoherent copyright infringement skirting Tamlin and Rhysand smut. I’ve read better things on Wattpad. The sex scenes are repetitive and mid at best. This book bulldozes through its shoe string of a plot to get to the sex and then homegirl is horny instantaneously and in love with them even faster.
Don’t waste your time reading this. It wasn’t even worth the time I spent writing this review, but I’m a masochistic completionist.

I was not prepared for the amount of OMG moments in this book. I felt all the emotions and loved it all. I have read monster romance before but nothing like Wicked Schemes this was by far the best.
The FMC Florencia is a feisty dream walking witch that comes from the Morales Coven, and she does not take anything laying down. She gives as good as she gets. Zotz short for Camazotz is the King of Nightmares, and lives in a dark stone castle and the sky is never light with sun, but dark as night all the time. He is the exact opposite of his brother in looks and character. Zotz brother Elios is the King of Dreams. Elios is the beautiful blonde haired charming man and lives in a beautiful lush land with a castle that is gorgeous. Both brothers have kingdoms in a place called Helios. There is no love lost that Zotz has for Elios, and Zotz lives to piss off his brother because he feels like he is a spoiled brat so he steals Elios' bride to be when she steps foot in the realm of Helios. She has no idea how she got there.
There was a prophecy long ago that was remembered by Elios that he will have a bride that is Haxia. Although it is not clear what that is exactly, but Zotz tries to explain when she can not find herself and tap into her true power. There are dangers in Helios from both brothers.
This story to me is about someone accepting a person that is not always what them seem. Looks can be deceiving and not all that glitters is gold. Wicked Schemes was everything!! The writing was on point and touched every human emotion within me. I laughed because the banter is freaking hilarious. I cried because I know how feeling like your not enough hurts. I know how letting someone go even though it hurts is the best thing for that other person.
This spoke to me on a emotional level and being a twin I know who these two brothers felt.
Thank you for writing such a great and profound work of art even though it is fiction it had very real feelings and emotions behind the characters. I found a kindred spirit in Zotz.
Lets not even talk about chapter 22!! THAT WAS A EPIC SMEGGS SCENE!!!
Now the ending was WOAH!! Didn't see that coming. It was perfect!

I really didn’t know what I was in for when I started reading Wicked Schemes. I was a little confused when reading the first chapter. This is the second book of the Morales Coven, but the first for me. Even though I was a little lost at the beginning, I continued reading and I was really happy that I did. The story grabbed me, and I couldn’t put it down. I haven’t read a lot of monster romances before, so there were a couple of times that I stopped and said “What?”, immediately followed by an enthusiastic “Oh.”😉 This book was so interesting to me and unlike what I have read in the past. While reading, I really never expected to actually have an emotional response, but by the end I had all of the feels. I really enjoyed this story full of witches, monsters, gods, and all the nightmares.
Florencia is such a great FMC. Not only is she a powerful witch that can walk in dreams, she comes from a family of powerful witches. But I think the best thing about her is the fact that she suffers from OCD. Seeing the powerful witch breakdown and go through such mental distress makes her so relatable. She isn’t perfect but she is strong and so sassy when she is abducted (she is not a child so he didn’t kidnap her according to Camazotz). She looks the god of Nightmares in the face and openly defies him. The growth she has by the end just shows how strong she is.
I adored Camazotz. He is not a good guy. He took Florencia just to piss his brother off. But he grows on you, just as Flo grows on him. My favorite thing about the kingdom of nightmares was when Zotz explained why there was tasty food (specifically vegetables) when it was a land of nightmares (because they are the nightmares of children) and you realize anything can be a nightmare to someone.
I don’t know what I expected when I started this book, but I was so glad I read it. It was really well-written and entertaining. It was very spicy in a way that only monster romances can be. I may be a convert to the monster romance genre now.

When Santana says she’s dropping a new book, you immediately grab the tissues and vibrator and buckle yourself in for the ride! She’s done it again with another absolute banger of a book. Amy is a new author to me but I have instantly become a fan!! This was my first adult monster/fantasy romance and I’m fucking hooked! Not only was the spice extra hot (2 peens - all I’m gonna say on that 😏🤭), but the plot was immaculate! So many twists and turns that dives deep and envelopes you and I LOVE it! I definitely bawled like a baby in some parts so I was not kidding about grabbing those tissues! Overall, I loved this book so much and all I can say is READ THE DAMN BOOK!! 🥵😍🤣
