Past Sins

Rate this book
Slowly, the wounds inflicted by Nightmare Moon's reign heal. Ponyville is being reconstructed, and the last refugees are leaving the castle. Nyx is with Twilight. Celestia and Luna rule Equestria and guide the sun and moon once more. Everything is as it should be.

But some things are never washed away. These are the things that remain to remind us of the past. They remind us of the good times we've had with friends and family. They never let us forget the mistakes we've made. Everyone has them. Twilight has them. Nyx has them.

And, on occasion, when you share your scars, your photos, and your trinkets with another, they just might share theirs in return.

The perfect follow-up story to Past Sins. Its plotline takes the form of an epilogue, showing the “innocent” aftermath of the protagonists’ previous encounter, even providing closure on some previously unanswered questions.

It made me happy knowing Nyx was back to her original self, and is content with her life. Safely under Twilight’s care, you no longer have to worry about Nyx getting into any more trouble and can instead focus on how she feels about the past, present, and future. It was nice to know what Nyx (or Twilight, more accurately) decided to do with her possessions from when she was Nightmare Moon. We even find out what happens with Trixie’s hat and cape! The family bonding between the two is as heartwarming as ever, and you can’t but help but just feel so happy for them that everything has worked in their favor.

It should come as no surprise, but this story is not meant to be read by those who have not yet read Past Sins.
