In this sequel to the post apocalyptic thriller, Extermination Day, the world waits quietly for the deadly virus to return. Only this time they are prepared thanks to time travelers from the future. Or so they think.

When something they believed had been destroyed emerges from the ground, Jeff Madison, Holly Scarborough, and Lieutenant Commander Buddy Paulson must join forces to stop it. As they are preparing to fight, another deadly threat emerges, this one completely unexpected, hiding its lethality in the form of an innocent.

Jeff Madison never wanted to be a hero. He never wanted to see his friends and family die. He never wanted to time travel into the past to try and save humanity from a deadly virus in the future. But the evil that attacked the world left him with no choice. He's always been a fighter. Now is his time to fight.

Jeff and the others think they know what is coming on Extermination Day. They've had a lifetime to prepare for the onslaught. The days turn into years, and each passing moment brings the Apocalypse closer. But when the time finally arrives, no one is expecting what comes next.

A noticeably weaker book than the first. Takes a lot longer time to build the story and most answers that I was waiting for in the first book took to the almost end to get addressed. Since this book is the second go-around for some of the characters, it has some familiarity to the first. This time the major player bent on destruction is stepping up their game - even though the innocents are ready, there is still mass annihilation. An OK conclusion to the pair of books.

This is a fun read and ending to the "Extermination Day" sequel. There is a lot of time travel in this book but is written well enough that you rarely get lost in the back and forth travel (lol). There are good guys, bad guys and terrible guys!

Reading "Extermination Day" ', the two free short stories offered at the end of "ED",and then right into the last book, "Nano Swarm" gives you a ' long reading experience' that holds your attention and is full of William Turnage's wild imagination.

I definitely will be reading more of Mr. Turnage's books. 5 stars.

Excellent read which I really enjoyed. Equal to book one, it follows the story of an alien invasion and the use of time travel to save the world. I loved the characters and especially Mattie. My one little gripe with the story was the slight "cop out" holo explanation to the bubble crew. It teases at some of the things that happened but then wraps it up very neatly I would have loved to have read a bit more about some of the happenings with Mattie, Paulson and Claire. One of my favourite reads in a while.

Not bad...the story was interesting, and I liked the characters. At the very end the science got a little too heady for me and I just had to suspend disbelief to get through it, but it was fun. I was hoping for more at the end but I guess that was as good a place as any to end it without taking us into another book. Still a few things unexplained at the end...but all in all, a good read.

I was worried the author wouldn't be able to pull off a satisfying ending to this series, but he did! And it was freaking awesome!! Great pace. Action and adventure at its best.

Glad I kept reading!

I almost stopped reading this after the first few chapters, but I’m glad I didn’t. The beginning was so hard to get in to. I thought it was going to a really ridiculous story line at first but I really wanted to see how it ended so I kept going. I was pleasantly surprised with the different places this book went and I never really knew what was coming because just when I thought I was getting an idea, it switched up again. I really enjoyed this book even more than the first one. Very interesting premise.

Very good sequel

This sequel was as surprising as it was thought provoking. The trail that they went through was to me beyond comparison. I would highly recommend this series to anyone. I hope there is another book coming.

The Future is not Set in Stone

Excellent time travel story. Characters well built and integrated excellently in the various timelines. Excellent ending to a fantastic travel in time experience.

Couldn’t get through it

Not as good as the first book in the series. I couldn’t finish it. The initial premise was great but it got too complex and outlandish.
