As the seasons change and the days become cooler, the Magical Garment Factory is as hard at work as ever. With Lucia at the helm, the factory works to develop warm yet breathable toe socks made of baphomet wool. And that’s not all—Dahlia has devised another magical tool to combat the chilly weather and enlists the help of the Tailors’ Guild as well as the factory. Meanwhile, Lucia takes on more personal requests, such as a ball gown for a surprising client that comes with the opportunity to observe a dance for nobles. As Lucia continues to gain recognition, Forto finds that his desire to protect her grows even stronger.

Lucia and the Loom volume 3 feel a bit like a string of short stories linked together by whatever happens in the magic cloth factory and Lucia's sudden rise in worth for the various noble factions in the kingdom. The short stories being all about designing a set of cloths for a specific person and said person's background. Some of the stories are great (such as for example when Lucia is asked to design and craft the clothes for a deceased teenage girl), others are a bit boring. They shine when it comes to the characters, but it doesn't help that I am not all that interested in fashion even though that is certainly a different thing for the genre. The focus on clothes makes me struggle a bit at times with the book. Little progress in the romance either. The author certainly seems to like and drag those things out. Still, it was for the most part an entertaining read and I am definitely interested in where things are going.
