i love this series in cambria

a woman was giving her best friend a party and went upstairs to get more champaine. her husband and little girl were upstairs, he put her to bed

the lights went out, someone murdered the mom

the slo cops are trying to figure out who did it

the best friend hires georgiana to figure out who did it

she went to interview the husband, a woman at the party was there dropping off a casserole. it seems like she wants to have a relationship with him. they send her on her way
the husband confesses he met his wife when she had been raped in hs. she finally reported the man who pled guilty but he found religion and is out of prison now. the best friend had gone to see her

the husband was very wealthy and helped his wife open a shelter in santa maria under another name so no one would know her.

after he told georgiana all that he went into the other room, shot himself and died leaving his daughter with no parents. he couldnt stand to live without his wife. her parents will raise her daughter

georgiana is looking into the case with the 2 women who work with her

the woman who died came to her in a dream

she was hit over the head and the vintage purse from her grandmother was stolen with the files from the pi in it

she went to the pi and got the info

she went to the missing girl from the abuse centers apt and got a clue

she went to the address and confronted the wife and man. he was going to kill her but her finacee came and shot him. the woman said the missing girl was in her uncles cabin hiding so she was safe

the next book is going to be about her wedding, she said no more cases till they got married, cant wait to read that one!

Another good mystery solved by one of the best PIs. Georgiana Germaine. When a woman gets murdered at an Engagement party she was hosting, the Bride to Be hires Georgiana to solve the murder of her friend. There are no shortage of suspects. She takes a couple hits, both literally and metaphorically. Hits that could have deterred her process, but instead made her even more determined to get to the bottom of it all. Smart thinking. Reasonable assumptions. Wonderfully written characters. The people interviewed for the investigation were a mix of obviously honest and not so obvious. The victim worked in a Women's Shelter, and there is mention of abuse, including SA. None taking place on the pages, but is mentioned a few times during the investigation. Other than that, this is a 'clean and safe' read. It is entertaining and keeps you hooked from the beginning. It's easy to read and can be read fairly quickly. It's taken from Georgiana's POV only, (except the first chapter which always takes place from the victim's POV.)

Each book in this series gets better and better. Although part of a series, this book can also be read as a stand-alone. Noelle is throwing a beautiful engagement party for her friend, Zoey. As Noelle goes upstairs to get more champagne, the power goes out. When it goes back on, Noelle’s husband finds her dead. The police are investigating, but Zoey is not satisfied with their progress. She then hires Georgiana to find the killer. Given Noelle’s busy life, there are many different directions to go in. Every time I read one of these books, I have to read it straight through. I highly recommend this book.

Another great read by Cheryl Bradshaw. One finds it hard to put her books down once started as they grip you from the get-go. I always try to figure out the perpetrator and I'm more often than not, wrong. This story starts as a woman is hosting a pre-nuptial party and is murdered when the lights go out. Gigi is hired to find the killer and this story finds her going to a tennis club and various other venues to find the killer. As always, she finds the perp after having been assaulted and her purse and bag stolen. A very good story.

First a thank you to the author, Cheryl Bradshaw, for an advanced copy of this book.
Next, Man! another great addition to the Georgiana Germaine series.
Noelle is hosting an engagement party for her friend Faith and is murdered at said party, that was being held in her own house!
Faith then hires Gigi to investigate the murder. I like that Gigi and Foley are working together better.
This had a whole trail of suspects, and I will admit I did not figure it out.

What should have been a night to remember becomes a night of murder. After Noelle is murdered, her best friend Zoey hires Georgiana or Gigi to find out what happened. As Gigi starts to investigate, there are several directions the investigation goes. How it all comes together is a complex trail of misdirection and hidden truths. Her detective skills are put to the test to find the killer before more lives are lost.

Bradshaw has a way of capturing your attention right from the start! You know exactly how the victim was murdered, but never know why or by who. I was impressed at the depth of story, and the character development. I kept guessing the whole time! If you like mystery, you'll Love this one, and the entire series. This is the first one that made me gasp and almost start to cry in the middle by a slight bombshell. You'll never be disappointed going on the search with Georgiana Germaine!!

Cheryl Bradshaw’s series of Georgiana Germaine continues to get better with each book. They are realistic as to how the main character enters the investigation and solves it before the police. The subplots regarding family are realistic as well. These books are easy reading, enjoyable murder mysteries with a twist.

Great book!

I love Gigi. She is a strong female detective. Helps that she is a former police investigator, along with her 2 friends, and fiance there is no case she can't solve.
This one had 2 cases that were intertwined with each other. Now gotta wait for book 12.

Listened to the audio book which was not very good. The narration was terrible. The plot and story however was great.
