Mark and Denise just want a little time off for a honeymoon. Wouldn’t you know that’s too much to ask? Denise’s mother has a little project she needs their help with.
I’m a house husband. I keep things together while my wonderful wife makes our living. I’ve worked as a machinist, short order cook, electronics assembly tech, and several other jobs. My hobbies include vehicle maintenance, (I’ve had the transmission out of my truck. Twice) free flight airplanes, electronics, and shooting. I was born and raised in the Ozarks, and now live in Mid-Missouri.
I enjoy this series. It's definitely got it's own style and pacing. Very enjoyable.
I think it's foolish to end a line of advancement because of how it might be used. Better to develop it and hope to find a solution/protection from the thing you fear. If nothing else it lets you know what to look for and how to fix the aftermath of it's abuse. Worst case you just never release your findings. It won't stop others from finding it though. It's generally always more productive to get out ahead of it.
To end off, I'm very excited to see where the story goes from here.
(As a side note. One of the biggest examples, if not THE biggest example: nuclear.
Nuclear technology has the potential to destroy the world. It also has the potential to turn it into a paradise. We are where we're at because of how the technology has been stifled. In many ways it's easier to make a nuke than a power reactor. Also because of a push early on by government for reactors that can make nukes. That, and dummies super sizing reactors that weren't meant to operate at those sizes or outside of a submarine/in the ocean.)
A good story, but starting to blend with his other series character
I really enjoyed the book but I am noticing more and more of the characteristics and sayings used in his Bob and Nikki series regularly appearing in this series. The longer this goes on the less likely he will be able to keep the characters seperate where Mark and Bob merge and so do Denise and Nikki. Same characters but different genre. Urban fantasy vs Sci-Fi. I enjoy both series and the main characters, so similar attitudes is fine, but please keep the dialogue between characters different. No Mongo straight.
I can trust Jerry Boyd to write family friendly books without a huge overarching threat. Sometimes I want huge epic battles against overwhelming odds but I love having a go-to story of little fights along the way of moving the story forward. I’d like to live in this universe. I want to have coffee with the characters. This is another example of curling up in the comfy chair with some lovely jazz on low, indulging in your favorite beverage, reading the evening away.
This is another excellent book from Jerry Boyd. These magical tales have a similar feel to Mr. Boyd's Bob and Nikki series. I started this series with a heavy heart, having learned of Mr. Boyd's passing last year. The book is well written and it comes to a satisfactory conclusion, though there is something of a cliff hanger that will remain unresolved. I have read all 55 of Mr. Boyd's books and have come to love them. I'm grateful for his talent for creating compelling characters and engaging characters.
There are many changes and additions to our group of protagonists in this series. Some of the story threads from the first and second books are finally resolved, and new ones are initiated. Character definitions are solidified and the plot moves forward. This installment ends on a hopeful note with a slight expectation for a next book.
This continues the first two books! So if you liked them no reason not to continue. Warning this does end with a bit of a cliff hanger so I wouldn’t blame anyone to wait for next book and read them back to back. I will be looking forward to next book.
Just like all of his books, the stories are fun to read, and the characters are interesting. My only real problem with them is that the stories are a bit too fast paced to be relatable or believable. That being said if you can dismiss that, then the rest of it is a lot of fun. Not a dealbreaker by any stretch just the pacing could be a little better.
I like this third book in this series. Best so far.
I will not spoil this for you by telling you what to expect. However it is a great mystery that is revealed. There is a mystery that is presented at end that will most likely be resolved in the next book
Wonderful new series. I can’t believe this exciting story . Your writing is amazing and I really hope you enjoy writing this as much as I and my friends and family love reading it. ENJOY!
For those that enjoy stories that don’t have a lot of drama or fights, other than situations that must be overcome and through diligence and learning and study, this is the series for you. Comparable authors are, James Haddock, and Whisky Flowers.
I like all your books. The way that magic is out in the open is refreshing. Likable characters and intriguing situations without any smut. Wonder filled. Keep it up Jerry. I am a fan.
Mark's character is growing dimensionally with each book. Adding a strong character from another magical realm will lend more diversity to the adventures that Mark and Denise have in their future.
I really enjoy Jerry's writing style. At first, I wasn't sure about not having chapters, but now I see how the story just flows. I like his great creative imagination that keeps the stories exciting, and you just keep turning pages.
Mark, has made a huge advance! A magical amplifier, he and his wife along with Mei ...well that would be a spoiler. But like the other books in the series it keeps you hooked and turning pages! You should read the series, it is quite engrossing.
What a great storyline. I'm really enjoying these books. I really hope this is not going to be the last of the books in this series. I can't wait to find out what Michelle is.
This book was interesting, but it was a little slower than the first two in the series. That said, I will be buying the fourth book in the series as soon as it comes out. Thanks, Jerry… appreciate the hard work 😉
Mark and Denise have major interference with their newlywed time. However, training, healing, inventing, and impossible tasks ensue. I like the action, humor, intrigue, and romance. I look forward to the next book.
It amazes me going from stellar to supernatural in my mind. I owe it all to u Mr. Boyd. U make the majic happen. These books just contain it enough to transfer it from ur mind to others. Thank u for making & sharing ur majic with us all. Ur very creative & generous.
I enjoyed very much all the books in this series. I am quiet sad that it has been left unfinished by the passing of Jerry. He was a great storyteller. My sincerest condolence to his family.
I just love this Series and wish the next book was available to start now that I finished this one. Author writes some Wounderful Tails and the Narrator is excellent at bringing the story and characters to life. Highly recommend
Found this while looking another Bob and Nikki book. Now I'm hooked on this series as well. Great read, fast pace with a constant introduction of new characters. I'm ready for the next book!
