This book brings the heat… a lot of it. If you’re picking this up purely for spice, you’ll be very satisfied. The sex scenes are phenomenal, plentiful, and absolutely deliver on the jalapeño-level promise 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️.

That said, while the story has a solid backbone and an intriguing premise, the character development didn’t quite work for me. The main character jumps into things fast, we’re talking full-blown, marriage-level intensity with very little emotional or narrative build-up. I also found the banter between characters a bit ridiculous at times; maybe some people really talk like that all the time ?

All in all, this is a fun, spicy read with clear strengths. If you’re here for the heat, this book has it in spades. If you’re looking for slow-burn tension or deeply earned emotional arcs, you may find yourself wanting more.

FINALLY! A book with actual adult characters and plenty of spice! If you are a fellow Gen-X person, you will enjoy this one, and once you start reading, you won't want to put it down. I LOVE the humor tucked in here and there! I was cracking up several times, trying not to wake my partner! LOL. The relationships and banter were well thought out and realistic, which I appreciated and found refreshing.
I'm looking forward to finding out what happens in the second book!

Unfortunately, the book is unreadable. Despite being over 600 pages, the text is so small you need a magnifying glass. I wish we could add pictures, the text is TINY. And on the VERY first page the fmc literally states "I need a man!" Like sis, nobody needs a man, it's 2025. With that mindset, I think she'D drive me crazy if I could read anymore of the book without getting a headache.

This book was so much fun! I found it to be a nice change of pace from the usual, and I loved the spiciness! This one isn’t for the prudish, that is for sure! I had to force myself to stop reading at night, or I wouldn't have gotten enough sleep! LOL. For those looking to read something for ADULTS, and love witchy vibes, then this one is for you! I was laughing at parts (Yes! There is humor!) and the men in this one, YES PLEASE. We need more of that! I have been looking for more reads as of late with fully mature characters, and this one fit the bill! THANK YOU! I’m definitely reading book two as well!
