We think we are ready for anything, but nothing prepares us for what we unleash—an extinction-level event. The Earth can no longer sustain us. Now, the government says we either transition to android bodies or die from starvation.
Not convinced, Xavier Jones won't surrender his humanity. He believes surviving as a copy of his memories stored in an android body is the same as death. He just wants to stay free and stay human. But the remains of the world’s governments mandate otherwise.
ANDROID DAWN is an apocalyptic sci-fi thriller where every sane person’s nightmare meets every doomsday prepper’s fantasy—the first book in the LAST MAN ON EARTH series!
I came to this planet sixty some odd years ago. After exiting my mother's portal, the doctor slapped me around until I started breathing the oxygen. I'll admit, at the time, I had no idea what I was doing or where I was. Being an infant Human, I was completely reliant on the responsible actions of others. It was a time that I have largely forgotten.
I reside in Central Florida with the wife and children. After thirty years in engineering, my time is now spent chronicling the adventures of fictitious heroes. They are off-world, fighting the good fight. For me? I'm stuck here on this planet in this feeble existence that we Humans are all forced to endure.
So, I ask you this... do you wish to escape the bonds of this surly planet we call Earth? Are you looking for a bit more adventure than what the grocery store has to offer? Do you worry about being enslaved by alien androids or six-eyed alien goats with lasers? Pew, pew, pew!
Yeah, that's what I thought. Asking yourself those questions and getting back an answer is the first hurdle to cross in the race to get off this world. Sounds like you are ready to venture out, to put this place behind you.
So crack open one of my books. Take to the heavens and let me shout this out to those who remain: "Watch out universe! Another Human is on the loose!"
One of my favourite modern-day authors. With a new book by Stephen, I can ignore the chores. Well thought out plots and characters with depth and flaws. It's great to be back.
For Kindle unlimited members the first book is free each book afterwards just $3.99. I joined Kindle Unlimited for free books. Don't understand why I would need to pay for the rest of the series.
Arseneault does it again. This book is a throwback to one of his first books. (Sodium)
It starts with the hero being an everyday man, just like in Sodium. Arseneault has a way of taking ordinary people, with all of their faults, quirks, and desires, and making you cheer for them.
From early on in the book, I found myself rooting for Xay. Stephen's writing has a way of taking ordinary people and making them extraordinary. If you like writers who describe scenes in a way that shows you in your mind what the story is about instead of telling you what it is about, then Stephen Arseneault is the author for you!
I'm looking forward to where the book series is going. The subtitle "Last Man on Earth" is a nice teaser. It hints at what is in store throughout the entire series and makes me look forward to the following books. I'll be reading the second book immediately.
As a writer myself, I don't have much time to read, but I will pause my writing for this author's work.
