A single dad, an underwear model, a baker, and baseball-loving former boy band member find love with four fun, incredible women in this compilation of the first three books and a spin-off from Pippa Grant’s Copper Valley Bro Code romantic comedy series.
About the
Flirting with the Frenemyis a rollicking fun romantic comedy featuring a single dad military man, an irritatingly attractive blast from his past, pirates, cursing parrots, and a wedding gone wild.
America’s Geekheartis a rockin’ fun fake-dating romantic comedy featuring a billionaire fashion mogul who got his start modeling underwear, the geeky girl next door with a secret the size of California, and more superstitions and secrets than you can shake a baseball bat at.
Dirty Talking Rivalis a deliciously fun friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy featuring a smooth-talking baker, the one who got away, and a goat with more matchmaking tendencies than a nosy old grandpa.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fireis a competitively fun office romance between a single dad obsessed with baseball, an heiress with secrets, baseball pants, a rundown team, and rabid ducks.
All four of these romantic comedies stand alone and come complete with swoony happily-ever-afters. They’re presented in chronological story order for the best reader experience.
Before she became a USA Today and #1 Amazon bestselling romantic comedy author, she was a young military spouse who got into writing as self-therapy. That happened around the time she discovered reading romance novels, and the two eventually merged into a career. Today, she has more than 30 knee-slapping Pippa Grant titles and nine published under the name Jamie Farrell.
When she’s not writing romantic comedies, she’s fumbling through being a mom, wife, and mountain woman, and sometimes tries to find hobbies. Her crowning achievement? Having impeccable timing for telling stories that will make people snort beverages out of their noses. Consider yourself warned.
I have just spent over an hour combing thru my &^%$# computer looking for my notes on this “Copper Valley Bro Code Collection” just to figure out that when I listened to this ALC almost a month ago, my notes where saved as the individual book titles, not together as one document. Obviously, this is completely unrelated to this review but OH MY GOD WHY IS MY LIFE LIKE THIS? Okay then … about this collection!
A single dad, an underwear model, a baker, and baseball-loving former boy band member walk into a bar … 😂😂😂 (I know I’m not the only one who thought this when reading the blurb!!) And you know what, it’s actually fitting because, these stories were a hilariously good time!! (see what I did there ;) lol)
5 Star Review The Copper Valley Bro Code Series: Volume 1 by Pippa Grant
Audio Review:
What a great way to be introduced to the Copper Valley Bro Code Series. This collection covers four books as follows:
Flirting with the Frenemy: This is Ellie and Wyatt’s frenemies to lovers story and one that ticked all the boxes for me.
When Wyatt finally returns home after time in the military, he is divorced and also a single dad.
Narrated by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon, they did a good job brining all the humor, heat and romance to life and injustice to the characters the author created.
Can Wyatt convince Ellie to take a leap of faith and in doing so create the family they all deserve?
America’s Geekheart: This is Beck Ryder and Sarah Dempsey’s story and one that had me laughing out loud in numerous occasions.
Beck needs an overhaul to his career and that’s where Sarah comes in. I really loved both of these two, individually and as a couple.
There is so much more to Beck and Sarah was so sweet and helps Beck. Can a fake relationship become more?
Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke narrate this book and did a wonderful job. Not only are their voices easy to listen too but they brought the romance, humor, flirty fun to their performances.
Dirty Talking Rival: Book three is Annika and Grady’s second chance at love story and what a story it was.
Annika went into the military while Grady went to school to become a baker. When Annika returns after ten years away, she has to deal with a lot.
Determined to make her mother’s dreams come true of ow ing a bakery. Grady runs a bakery in a neighbouring town and is not happy to learn of Annika’s plans.
Narrated by Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke, they brought all the angst, tension, passion and humor to their performances. They did justice to the characters that Ms. Grant created.
Liar Liar Hearts on Fire: Book four is single dad and widower Tripp Wilson and Lila Valentine’s emotional story and one that ticked all the boxes for me.
From the start of this book I knew I was in for a special listen. The narration by Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood brought this emotional, funny story to life with their performances.
From the moment they met they were drawn to one another and it was entertaining to watch their relationship develop.
All in all this collection was an entertaining and fun listen and one I really enjoyed. I received an ALC , and leave this review voluntarily.
I have mixed feelings about this. So this was my first experience with this author and it was an okay experience.
I wasn't a fan of Flirting With The Frenemy. Yes there was witty banter, zingy one liners and a quirky plot but there was no chemistry between the MMCs
I absolutely adored America's Geekheart. Seriously the book was just spectacular. I laughed my butt off, I oooohed and ahhhed and I just loved.
I did not like Dirty Talking Rival at all. There was little to no chemistry, the MCs felt insufferable and childish and I just couldn't get into it. My favorite thing about this is the goat and the bird.
Now Liar Liar Hearts on Fire was a little iffy for me. It started off with a bang and I was sucked right in. I loved Trip & Lila’s chemistry, their rapport. Then, it starting going downhill. It felt like the book went to an eccentric direction (and not in a good way). I almost DNF. Then uncle what's his face broke in and the book went right back on track for me and I enjoyed it from there all the way to the end.
This was a rollercoaster for me but I will seriously be checking out some more of this author's work for sure.
Flirting with the Frenemy - Single dad, fake dating, brother's BFF, a pirate themed wedding and town. And hot, amazing spice.
America’s Geekheart – Former pop star now underwear model who is a kid at heart, celeb's kid hiding from spotlight, foot-in-mouth, taser, fake dating. And hot spice :)
Dirty Talking Rival- Master Baker, former friends, competing businesses, 2nd chance, small town hijinks and hot amazing spice.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire- Single dad, Girl Boss, baseball, laugh out loud. Rom Com. And a perfect amount of spice!
These can be read as complete stand-alones. However I think you will get more out of it if you have read the other books as you have met some of the characters before. If you have read this author’s other series/previous books you will get a bit more out of it because you have met the characters before. But don’t let that deter you. This can be a stand-alone. But it will make you want to read all the other books!
Thank you @hambright_pr and @pippa.grant for this ebook&audio collection! These were laugh out loud funny, while touching on heavy topics. They are everything you need in a small town rom com, with the best side characters! ( don’t for getting the parrot and goat 🤭)
Flirting With The Frenemy ✨Single Dad ✨Brothers Best Friend ✨Enemies To Lovers
Americas Geekheart ✨Billionaire ✨Fake Dating ✨Girl Next Door
This was a long book but so worth the hours of reading/ listening. It was like a gift that kept giving. I would go from earc to audiobook through the days until I hit the very end. This is four books of laughs, melt in your panty, swoony goodness. I love how each story hits different tropes as it kept me engaged. And the narrators… they provided the perfect listening pleasure making an enjoyable read an even more amazing listen.
Why, hello there, audiobook box set goodness! When this hit my phone, my immediate response was, “Get in my ears!”
The Copper Valley Bro Code Series Volume 1 includes the first three books of the series + a spin-off set in nearby Shipwreck and Sarcasm. It’s four books of Pippa Grant trademark snickers, spice, and swoon. You’ll laugh; you’ll witness sweet moments; and you may even stop to fan yourself from time-to-time. 😉
Here’s a book-by-book breakdown: Flirting with the Frenemy: Ellie unexpectedly ends up rooming with and fake dating her brother’s best friend, Wyatt, whom she crushes on finds incredibly frustrating, during the festivities leading up to her best friend’s wedding.
With her ex standing opposite her as the best man, she always planned on taking a fake date to the wedding. Wyatt just wasn’t the fake date she had in mind.
At a glance: - Brother’s best friend - Teenage crush - Single dad - Military man - Forced proximity - Fake dating - Frenemies-to-lovers - Recent breakup (her) - Recent divorce (him) - Adorable 7 year-old - A “This was a mistake” moment 😬 (Don’t worry. We readers know it wasn’t a mistake.) - Lots of verbal sparring - 🔥 chemistry but disasters seem to occur every time they connect - And a pirate-themed wedding during a pirate festival in a mountain town called Shipwreck (Yes, you read that correctly. And it is fantastic.)
Read it for - The banter! - The connection - The eccentricities of Shipwreck and its inhabitants - The heat between Ellie and Wyatt - The chosen/found family
This one is narrated by Erin Mallon and Joe Arden. (Yes, it is that Joe Arden, but this audiobook is from 2019.) They do a great job of capturing Ellie’s and Wyatt’s personalities, and as a bonus, they capture the voice of Tucker, Wyatt’s son, well, too. (Look: Sometimes the way adults portray kid voices for audiobooks can be painful. I was delighted to discover that isn’t the case here.)
America’s Geekheart A misdirected tweet leads to love between an underwear model and his sister’s honeybee-loving neighbor in America’s Geekheart.
At a glance: - Celebrity romance - Fake dating - Reluctance to be in the spotlight - Secrets revealed 👀
Read it for - The hot MC (This man is an underwear model / fashion mogul / former boy band member.) - The love-at-first-taser moment - The women in STEM rep - Giraffes! - The pig + cat pairing - Excellent “I love you just the way you are” declarations - The baseball superstitions - The strong chosen/found family - Snickers (of the laughing variety, not the peanut and chocolate variety) and giggles and warm fuzzies - And of course, the 🔥 between the main characters
You know what? Full disclosure: I could listen to Jason Clarke narrate my grocery list and I would be a happy camper. He’s got that voice that can be deep and growly, show emotion and be heartfelt, and play up the humor. (Naturally, the deep and growly voice is the one that I would pick for my grocery list reading experience.) And I like his vocal choices for female characters, too. He narrates Beck’s chapters here, so you know you’re in for a treat.
Erin Mallon always delivers a solid performance, and I enjoyed her portrayal of Sarah here. Plus, I like her vocal choices for the male characters, too.
Dirty Talking Rival Well, folks, I can honestly say that I had never been jealous of a pastry before reading this book.
With Dirty Talking Rival (Master Baker), Pippa Grant once again delivers humor, heart, and heat. I was delighted to find myself back in the town of Shipwreck, this time with Grady Rock coaxing his delicious creations to perfection. When he discovers that his former best friend, Annika, is opening a bakery in the rival town of sarcasm, his baking starts to falter. Those creations require love, after all, and Grady? Well, he’s not feeling very loving at the moment.
At a glance: - Rival towns + rival businesses - Former best friends, now estranged - Second chance / the one that got away - First time seeing each other after 10 years - Military (her) - Baker (him) - Dating in secret
Read it for - The way the towns rally around their bakers - How rifts are repaired - The food descriptions - The foul-mouthed parrot - A goat named “Sue” (Hey Siri, play songs by Johnny Cash.) - Dirty talk while baking (See aforementioned jealousy directed at pastries.) - How Grady supports Annika behind the scenes
Narrated by Jason Clarke (yum!) and Virginia Rose, the audiobook kept me engaged in this friends-to-antagonists-to-lovers tale. Both Clarke and Rose do a great job capturing the emotion and humor of the story.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire Tripp Wilson, former Bro Code band member, dedicated father, and #1 Fireballs fan, has two main goals at the moment: to take care of his family and to become the new owner of the The Copper Valley Fireballs pro baseball team.
He’s always (overly) careful and controlled and heads to a club in NYC, planning to talk to the current owner of the Fireballs about selling the team. Instead he finds himself making out with a stranger he sees exiting the VIP area. He typically never just relaxes and lets go, but that night he does.
What’s the problem with that?
As events unfold after that night, Tripp discovers that the stranger is now the owner of the team he wants to buy. And she does not want to sell. And, well, it’s possible that he told her that he was his still-in-the-spotlight brother when they hooked up at the club. And she does not like being lied to.
And it looks like now they have to work together.
But she has her own set of secrets that she's been keeping.
At a glance: - Mistaken identity - Antagonists-to-lovers - Single father (widower) - Former member of a boy band - Workplace romance - Baseball backdrop - Pippaverse crossover
Read it for - The chemistry between Tripp and Lila - How the leads take care of each other - The email signature lines - All the mishaps - The ducks - The mental health rep - How dedicated of a father Tripp is - The chosen/found family
Lila and Tripp are brought to life by Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden. I enjoyed their narration, especially Peachwood's take on Lila’s chapters. Note: Tripp does have two young children, so when you pick this up, be prepared to hear these adults portray voices for the under 4 set. I feel like that’s a tough age group to portray well as an adult.
I received a copy of the audiobook from the author and Hambright PR. All review opinions are my own.
I love the Bro Code series and am excited that the hilarious, heartfelt, and steamy stories from the Copper Valley world are now together in one set!
~ Flirting with the Frenemy I loved this hilarious and heartfelt frenemy to lovers romance! Ellie and Wyatt have known each other since they were young, practically growing up together. They loved to tease and provoke each other at every opportunity. When Wyatt got married and was station in the military out of state, Ellie was heartbroken. When Wyatt returns, years later, divorced and a single dad, they realize they can't deny their fiery attraction and have an explosive night of passion. Wyatt had been taken in by Elli's family and he was afraid he would lose the only real love he ever had if things went bad. So when he started having second thoughts, Ellie ran and almost lost her life. Now six month's later they are back in each other's lives for a friends 'pirate themed' wedding. They try to make the best of it, but when old feelings, and passions come back to the surface, they find it impossible to deny. Will they be able to make it work when they live in different states, or will they part, heartbroken for good this time? This was such a hilarious, sweet, and steamy romance. The different pirate themed activities were so clever awkward, and funny, I loved it all. Erin Mallon, and Joe Arden did a great job narrating this delightful romcom and bringing it to life. I love both their voices, along with their flawless comedic timing and dynamic voice changes as they delivered the clever, fast paced, snarky banter. They really brought out the push/pull between both Wyatt and Ellie, and allowed us to experience their strengths and vulnerabilities, and their sexual tension was palpable! They made this hilarious, heartfelt, and steamy story even better.
~America’s Geekheart I absolutely loved this hilarious, and heartfelt, enemies-to-lovers romance! This slow burn, rom-com is filled with witty banter, awkward and hilarious situations, and a sweet and sexy storyline with lots of heart. After Beck makes a huge mistake, putting his neighbor in the crosshairs of social media, he needs to do whatever it takes to make it up to her and salvage both their careers. Beck is a billionaire underware model and fashion mogul, and he is about to lose a partnership if he doesn't do something quick. Sarah is sweet, geeky, and wants to save the giraffes. They decide they can help each other by faking a relationship to clean up his image and call attention to the giraffes near and dear to Sarah's heart. As they spend more time together, they have fun together and their attraction and chemistry grows. But Sarah has a secret she is trying to hide, and it all blows up when that secret comes to light. Sarah and Beck were so perfect for each other, making each other better and they had great chemistry. I also loved their close knit and quirky family that cause more hilarity, complications, and drama that had me laughing out loud, swooning, and cheering for Sarah and Beck's HEA. Narrators, Jason Clarke, and Erin Mallon made this romance even sweeter and sexier. They did an amazing job with Grant's witty banter, and they easily made me feel all the turmoil, fun, and passion between these characters. I was totally lost to their performance as they brought this playful, moving, and sizzling romance to life!
~Dirty Talking Rival Dirty Talking Rival, originally Master Baker, is a sweet and hilarious enemies-to-lovers/second chance romance. Grady and Annika were best friends in school, but both wanted more. Grady wanted Annika to wait for him while he went to culinary school, but Annika was afraid if she stayed around after high school, she would never find her own dreams. Ten years later she is back to help her mom and young sister through a dire situation. Unfortunately, helping her family puts her in opposition against her best friend, and the only man she has ever loved. They live in different towns, Sarcasm and Shipwreck, and the quirky residents of each town love to escalate the rivalry between them. Can two people find their way back to each other when everyone who supports them, acts like they hate them? This was so much fun to listen to. Grady was so charming, sweet, and caring. He was so swoony the way he wanted only the best for Annika. I could really relate to Annika's strength and determination to help her family and her lack of cooking skills as well. They were so perfect together and their sexual tension and chemistry was off the charts. I also loved all their meddling family and friends who were so quirky, loving and supportive. Jason Clarke, and Virginia Rose did a great job narrating this delightful romcom and bringing it to life. Their comedic timing and inflections were spot on as they they delivered Grants hilarious banter, and they easily made me feel all the turmoil, fun, and passion between these characters. They really made this hilarious, heartfelt, and steamy romance even sweeter!
~Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire I had so much fun listening to this clever, emotional, and sexy romance. This third book in the Bro Code series is about a sexy single dad, Tripp, who wants to help make his beloved but failing hometown baseball team successful again. When the owner suddenly passes away, his niece, Lila, becomes the new owner. Tripp and Lila had a great meet cute that ended way too soon. Now they find out they both want to make the team a success and to do that they have to ignore their fiery attraction. I loved Tripp and Lila's story! It had the perfect balance of quirky charaters, heartfelt emotion, hilarious and awkward situations and lots of sizzling passion. I loved how Tripp and Lila clashed but supported each other, and their chemistry was off the charts! Joe Arden, and Savannah Peachwood did a great job narrating this hilarious romcom and bringing it to life. Their comedic timing and inflections were spot on as they delivered Grant's witty banter flawlessly. I really enjoyed both their performances and thought they made this hilarious, heartfelt, and sweet & steamy romance even better!
This was cute--and more than a little silly at times--overall, though, a fun read. It's a brother's best friend, forced proximity, single (he's in the military!) dad story--all very promising!
Ellie and Wyatt have known each other since childhood, and their personalities have clashed for just about that long. But then there's that Christmas holiday when newly divorced Wyatt encounters freshly dumped Ellie and..things happen. Almost before they're done Wyatt declares it a mistake, Ellie leaves, and then her whole life changes.
Six months later, her brother's machinations bring them back together again and hijinks ensue with a pirate-themed festival and wedding (which of course requires a fake relationship, since her evil ex will be there), renegade goats, a maybe-broken Frogger arcade game, and many, many bubble baths.
I enjoyed watching them grow closer, even if the "catastrophes" that seemed to follow their relationship around were a bit silly, bordering on OTT at times. Wyatt's son was all kinds of adorable, and I was never sorry to see him on the page.
The reason for their relationship black moment was a complete overreaction, I thought--fortunately the individual who had the freak out gets over it, though they do so off the page, which felt like a cheat, almost. Still, they ended up together in the end and there were all kinds of cute bonus epilogues, so...win!
Oh, and we have a complete tease at the end for the next book--Ellie's brother Beck's story--he's done something disastrous and Ellie and Wyatt need to drop everything and go help him. We don't get any real details past that, but fortunately I have the entire Bro Code volume one on audio, so starting immediately in on book 2 is easy peasy.
The audiobook is dual narration, and both narrators do a great job! I'm definitely looking forward to listening to the rest of the set.
Rating: 4 stars / B+
America's Geekheart
Though the premise of this one is a little silly--how incompetent do you have to be at social media to publicly send a message to an account your sister follows instead of DMing your sister?--this was a really cute rom com. Sarah and Beck are all kinds of cute together (once she's over the whole wanting to eviscerate him for making her go viral, at least--though even before that they were really fun) and I loved that even once their relationship had veered into "real" territory from "fake" that she didn't let him get away with anything, no matter how charmingly he smiled at her.
Most of the time, anyway ;)
Though she never did stop wearing his branded underwear, even though she kept threatening to--apparently, it's just *that* comfortable.
America's Geekheart is the second in the Bro Code series and connected to the Copper Valley Fireballs and Copper Valley Thrusters series, but it can be read as a standalone. Many other characters from Copper Valley play roles in Sarah and Beck's story, though, and don't you want to know every single detail of their stories too?
That's what I thought ;)
Same narrators, and once again they did an absolutely fabulous job. 10 out of 10, no notes!
Rating: 4 1/2 stars / A-
Dirty Talking Rival
Though I wasn't the biggest fan of the whole "we have to pretend to be enemies for the publicity" aspect of this book--especially the part of it when they had to keep their relationship secret to benefit their businesses(?!?) I did appreciate the chemistry between Grady and Annika and the ending was really satisfying. And of course seeing all the series characters here again is never a bad thing.
Though be warned--there's a whole lot of talk of baked goods here. Don't read when you're already hungry ;)
The narrators did a lovely job of reading this one--they definitely kept me listening even when I was aggravated with the characters themselves.
Rating: 3 1/2 stars / B-
Liar, Liar Hearts on Fire
This one was a re-read for me--zero complaints, because I loved it the first time too.
I read this the first time during the pandemic (and I work with the public and it’s once again cold/flu/Covid season), so it was still hard to really be critical of Tripp’s hand sanitizing, hand washing obsession felt pretty on point to me. I get why it was a problem, but is it really?
But I digress.
Did I love Tripp a little more because of his slavish attention to personal hygiene? Maybe. Honestly, though, with how much he loved and took care of his kids, family, and friends I was always going to be a goner for him. Plus he’s a prime example of that troupe that I’m seeing more (but not enough yet!) of–the widow/widower who had a perfectly lovely previous relationship and manage to find love again after. (His first wife died from the flu–and his baby girl almost did as well–which also felt a bit too close for comfort, in today’s environment. But you can’t argue that it’s not realistic.) It’s a good thing that Lila is a more than worthy match for him (and, I guess, that he’s fictional…), otherwise I might have been tempted to take her on and get him for myself.
But I loved Lila too! Her secrets had secrets (and the doozy took me completely by surprise! Even on the second read, as I didn’t remember all that many details from the first time around. There’s been a lot of books in between) but it’s hard to argue with what a wonderful person she really is beneath all of the prevarications, and of course she and Trip are absolutely perfect together.
Once again the narration was absolutely on point for this one—even if I had remembered more about the story from my first read through I wouldn’t have minded at all listening to them read it to me a second time. And I can absolutely see myself listening to it a third or fourth time as well
Long story short: Read this book. It’s an enemies-to-lovers, workplace romance, single dad (with the most Adorable. Kids. Ever.) romance that will make you laugh, make you cry, and only occasionally make you want to throttle a character or two…but in the end it will make you smile an absolutely goofy, this was so good smile.
Rating: 4 1/2 stars / A
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The only way to read Copper Valley Bro Code series is like this..in a box set! I feel so lucky to get to read all the awesome and entertaining and heartwarming stories one after another! If you are looking for some romance to bring big smile on your face and flutter in your heart, this is the series for you. The best bromance you have ever got to read is right here!
Flirting With Frenemy
Flirting with the Frenemy by Pippa Grant takes you through a wildly hilarious and entertaining and emotional and right kind if spicy journey! This is a treasure box of tropes. Single dad and military engineer Wyatt is so swoony and charming and witty and..ridiculously gorgeous. Ellie is a firecracker. Ambitious, hard working, stubborn, fierce and..starving for love. Their banter and flirting disguised as fight was awesome. A small town called Shipwreck with a pirate festival, the best friend's wedding, fake dating and accidents every time they get intimate...you have a great recipe for a great rom Com.
🔥 brother's best friend 🔥 frenemies to lovers 🔥 second chance 🔥small town 🔥rom Com 🔥single dad
America's Geekheart
There is something you need to know about Pippa Grant's writing. She always writes exceptionally relatable and absurdly lovable and ridiculously adorable characters. Take Beck and Sarah for example. America's fashion industry king and model Beck has to recover his bad reputation after he tweeted something by mistake under animal rights crusader and geek extraordinary Sarah who is also secretly Hollywood's power couple's daughter. And it just makes such a heartwarming and entertaining story!
✔️ he is sunshine & she is grumpy ✔️ geek & celebrity ✔️fake dating ✔️ he Falls first
Beck is just pure sunshine. Witty. Happy. Loyal. Funny. Charming. Gorgeous. A good guy every way possible. Sarah has hidden from limelight for a long time because she hates the scrutiny and negativity that comes with celebrity life. Beck restores her faith and her confidence and her sass while fake dating her. Honestly he fell hard and fast for her brilliance. They just made me laugh and swoon and made my heart ache at appropriate times. And how does the author always have the best secondary characters? Her books are simply addictive.
Dirty Talking Rival
I am wondering if Copper Valley Bro Code is hoarding all the good book boyfriends. And also Pippa Grant writes some amazing dual POVs. I fell hard and fast for Grady and Annika. They were soulmates but fate had them taking a long whirlwind journey through heartbreak, anger, angst, town rivalry and baking competition. This book is woony and heartaching and so much fun. That's a hard balance because you will be wiping tears while reading the hilarious accidents and incidents and..then wipe tears of heartache. Grady is just too sweet and adorable and sexy to resist but in front if Annika, he is ready to give it up all. But they are baking Enemies and their towns are rivals and they are all messed up with feels...
🥮 small town 🥮 frenemies to lovers 🥮 big second chance
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire by Pippa Grant is the most angsty one of the Copper Valley Bro Code series..those I have read so far. Tripp Wilson stole my heart hard and fast. The man who always feels responsible for everyone and who is scared of losing his kids to the level of a hypochondriac and who has so much love to give..arghh why is he so irresistible? Lila has been a bit lost her whole life and she has been trying to find something or someone to fill the huge gap in her heart but it would be easier if that's not the single dad who is her newly inherited and dying baseball team's president and also the guy who wants to buy the team. All the forbidden love tension. All the sizzling hot chemistry. And so much feels.
⚾️ Enemies to lovers ⚾️ single dad ⚾️ sassy heroine ⚾️ workplace romance
This was so cute and so funny, I absolutely loved it. It had these really sad, yet heartwarming moments surrounded by so much fun and laughter and spicy fun times. I truly adored Ellie and Wyatt to pieces, and Tucker too. This whole book just had me smiling nonstop and gave me all the warm fuzzies.
I'm really excited for the rest of this series. The side characters were so much fun and quite frankly I wouldn't mind more of the blonde caveman just to watch him fall harder. Also super excited Grady has a spinoff story too. Pippa is one of my go tos for rom-coms and I can't wait for more.
The audio was fantastic. Erin Mallon is one of my absolute favorites and both of these narrators did such a wonderful job telling this story.
AMERICA'S GEEKHEART 5 ⭐ 3 🌶️ 5 🎧
I'm loving this series so dang much. These men are all so adorable and swoon worthy, the way they treat their girls has me in a puddle and Beck is no exception. He's funny, sweet and loves Sarah as herself and not as the world wants her to be. She's such a geek, but I adore her too and love the way she grew and gained confidence in this story. They were sickly sweet together and I couldn't get enough.
I really enjoyed the third act. I thought it was going one way, but these two proved how much they had grown when it got down to it and I was so proud of them. I also loved the route Sarah's mom took in the end, such a perfect solution to a few problems.
The audio was perfect. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon are a match made for romantic ears. I absolutely loved listening to them bring these characters to life.
LIAR, LIAR, HEARTS ON FIRE 5 ⭐ 2 🌶️ 5 🎧
This was so dang cute. I have absolutely loved this series and Liar Liar was no exception. I have loved Tripp from the start, I'm such a sucker for single dads and his kids were so cute. I really adored how they took to Lyla, it was so sweet.
I thought the baseball owner storyline was freaking fantastic. I love the little twist we got and I loved watching Lyla and Tripp banter it out constantly. Also, lol at the ducks. Duck, um, parts, really are the stuff nightmares are made of and I had completely forgotten that for a moment.
The audio was great. Savannah Peachwood is a dream to listen to and I really enjoyed how both of these characters were brought to life. Really looking forward to The Hot Mess and the Heartthrob and Levi's story.
DIRTY TALKING RIVAL 3.5 ⭐ 2 🌶️ 4 🎧
While I usually adore Pippa's over the top hilarious stories, Dirty Talking Rival was a bit over the top for me... That being said, it was still hilarious and as the story went on I did fall for Grady and Annika.
I think Bailey may have actually been my favorite character 😂 that girl had so much sass and stood up for her mama and sister like it was her job. I just adored her. Also, shout out to Sue, who was also the best.
I enjoyed the audio a lot. Jason Clarke is an absolute favorite of mine and while it took me a minute to get used to Virginia Rose, I ended up really liking her as well. This was a fun listen!
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐁𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 is an entertaining anthology of the first three books in the Bro Code series by Pippa Grant, plus a fun spin-off story. I truly enjoyed all the narrators as they brought the stories to life!
𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: ★★★★.75
𝐅𝐥𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐲 is the first book in the Copper Valley Bro Code Series, featuring a funny, single dad, enemies to lovers rom-com for Wyatt and Ellie!! I loved every minute of the Murphy’s Law of mishaps, shenanigans, the sassy banter, the quirky pirate town, the found family vibe of the friends, and the Wyatt and Ellie’s obvious chemistry that may or may not be dangerous!😅 Erin Mallon and Joe Arden did a fabulous job conveying the comedy, the romance, and the emotions, despite the large cast of characters! I’m excited to continue listening to the series! —★★★★★
𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚'𝐬 𝐆𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 is the 2nd book in the Copper Valley Bro Code Series, featuring a Grumpy/sunshine, fake-dating, celebrity romance for Beck and Sarah. This was another hit as Beck needs to repair his reputation after he sends a tweet meant to be a DM to his sister. The world sees him as a former boy bander turned underwear model and fashion mogul, but really he’s just a adorkable guy who loves his family, sci-fi shows, and video games. His mistake may have found him his perfect match. I loved how playful and quirky Beck and Sarah were. Their friends and family were hilarious, and I enjoyed all the animals. Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon delivered a masterful performance, as they nailed the comedic timing, the bonds and relationships, and the chemistry! —★★★★★
𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 is a best friends to enemies to lovers rom-com for Grady and Annika. The rivalry between Grady and Annika definitely led to some funny pranks and antics, especially with some of the other characters involved.😂 As far as the flow of their personal relationship, I felt that it dragged a bit, and at times it seemed that Grady and Annika were still 18, not 28. But overall, I appreciated the emotional journey, the steamy chemistry, and the engaging small town vibe. Annika’s little sister Bailey was a laugh riot all by herself! I’m wondering if she ever got a story!🤔😄 But if you need a laugh, give this one a go! Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke embodied every nuance, from the funny, to the emotional, to the spicy! I could listen to Jason Clarke read the phone book!!🫠 —★★★★
𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐫, 𝐋𝐢𝐚𝐫, 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 is the 3rd book in the Copper Valley Bro Code Series, featuring a single dad, one-night stand, workplace romance for Tripp and Lila. I loved the tension, the banter, the adorable kids, the amazing friends, and the randy ducks!😂 My heart hurt for Tripp when he would struggle with his fear. I loved Lila for him and the kids. Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden did a great job narrating this story! They acted out the comedy, the spice, and the emotion very well! —★★★★★

Pippa Grant gives us another hilarious new series, Bro Code. Bro Code was introduced in Pippa’s first book, Mister McHottie, as the favorite boy band of several of the characters. This series centers around this band. Here are my reviews of the books.
Flirting With the Frenemy 5 stars Ellie is the sister of Brek Ryder, Bro Code member and underwear model. She has had an antagonistic relationship with Wyatt, Brek’s best friend, since they were kids. After a disastrous hookup, they are thrust together six months later when Wyatt and Ellie both show up at Brek’s house. Ellie is there to be in a wedding where her cheating ex will be part of the wedding party. Of course, Wyatt ends up playing the role of boyfriend. Hilarity ensues with a pirate themed wedding, a fowl mouthed parrot, and marauding goats.
America’s Geekheart 5 stars
Beck has led a charmed life, he was a member of the popular boy band Bro Code, and now he is an underwear model and fashion mogul. He does what everyone fears, sends what was meant to be a private sarcastic message to his sister, instead tweets it about her next door neighbor. He is now public enemy number one and in order to save the launch of his charity, he must win back the public and get Sarah’s forgiveness. The problem is, Sarah has a secret, and the last thing she wants is to be in the public eye. Like all of Pippa’s books, this is hilarious. What put this over the top for me was how much heart it had. Beck is such a wonderful character. His sweet, kind and goofy nature kept me smiling throughout the book.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire 5 stars Tripp Wilson is a former member of the boy band BroCode. He is now a recently widowed single dad to two young kids. He is at loose ends and needs a purpose in life, so he wants to buy the local Major League Baseball team, The Fireballs. While trying to meet up with the owner of The Fireballs, he has a major meet awkward with Lila Valentine (who had a cameo in Stud in the Stacks). Of course, Lila is the owners niece and ends up inheriting the team and the Baseball Commissioner insists that she hire Tripp as the President of operations, setting up a fun enemies to lovers romance. This is a delightful RomCom with a lot of laughs and crossovers from Pippa’s other series.
The Hot Mess and the Heartthrob 5 stars Levi Wilson is the only former member who is still in the music industry with a successful solo career. When he comes home to Cooper Valley, he ducks into a local bookstore where he meets harried single mom, Ingrid Scott. Ingrid doesn’t have time to date as she is dealing with three active kids and running her bookstore. But when her favorite singer seems to be interested in her, she questions her no dating rule. Both Ingrid and Levi are extremely likable characters and the book has Pippa’s usual humor, so this is the perfect book to escape into
Audio Review: I love box sets and jumping into the Copper Valley world was the perfect escape. I was drawn in and captivated by this witty and steamy journey as I got to know the characters that feature in the first four books. The narration was perfect, the characters adorable and the writing was strong but more importantly I was left smiling.
Flirting with the Frenemy: If you live frenemies to lovers you will love Ellie and Wyatt heartwarming and at times hilarious story. Ellie and Wyatt were childhood friends but he joined the military, got married and moved away. So what happens when he returns home as a divorced, single dad…..will he convince Ellie to give love one more chance. Erin Mallon, and Joe Arden did a great job narrating this delightful romcom and bringing it to life. They were spot on with the love, the passion and the humour.
America’s Geekheart: This is billionaire Becky and sweet, nerdy geek Sarah’s enemies to lovers, heartwarming romantic comedy. Becky needs help to put a positive spin on his model and fashion mogul career on social media. Sarah is sweet and wants to save the giraffes not an underwear model but a fake relationship could help them both. So what happens when lines get crossed….. Jason Clarke, and Erin Mallon did a great job bringing this story to life. They had me laughing out loud one moment and swooning the next.
Dirty Talking Rival: Dirty Talking Rival is Grady and Annika’s small town, second chance romance. Grady and Annika were childhood sweethearts until he went to culinary school. But Annika needed to follow her dreams and hopefully find herself so what happens ten years later when she comes back to help her family. They live in different towns, Sarcasm and Shipwreck, I love these towns and I love the quirky residents that reside in them and I’m sure you will too. Jason Clarke, and Virginia Rose were perfect with the narration of this witty, funny, swoon worthy romantic comedy.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire: This is single dad Tripp and Lila’s emotional, heartwarming and at times hilarious journey. Tripp is back in town to help his beloved, failing baseball team become successful again. From the moment these two meet sparks fly and not always in a good way. But what made this book special was the friendships, the adorable children, the banter and let’s not forget the randy ducks. Savannah Peachwood and Joe Arden did a great job bringing the characters and their story to life. They were spot on with the banter, the passion and the emotion.
This boxset has something for everyone and if you love romantic comedy look no further. The writing is wonderful and the narration is perfect.

A collection of some of my favorite books by Pippa Grant. Flirting With the Frenemy - is filled with so much fun and the perfect amount of heart, it's why I'm continually drawn to Pippa Grant's books time and time again. Ellie grew up with her older brother Beck and all of his friends, but one in particular, Wyatt Morgan, never let her get away with anything. The silliness, the themed wedding, the friendships made my heart happy. This also introduced Shipwreck which is one of my favorite towns that Pippa created. The pirate themed items in this small town are a ton of fun and it's just the beginning.
America's Geekheart - is adorably sweet intermixed with Pippa's sense of humor. Beck Ryder is one of the nicest, happiest, down-to-earth famous book boyfriends I've ever read. You can't help but love him for his self-deprecating humility mixed with sexy goofballness. He just might be one of my favorite Pippa Grant heroes to date. "One day. I want one day of being as happy about life as Beck Ryder is."-Sarah This sentence right here is everything!! Like all Pippa Grant stories; the witty banter, the adorable animals, and the delicious chemistry totally makes the story worth the read.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire - is a softer romantic comedy that still contains all of the wonderful Pippa elements that make up her wacky worlds, but both Tripp and Lila were characters that had deep emotional factors that made this a more relevant touching story. While Tripp and Lila try hard to work together, while also riling each other up at every opportunity, they also soothe each other's sore spots. It's a lovely story filled with family and sports and tight pants. It's also where we first meet the loveable losers, Cooper Valley's own Fireballs.
The Hot Mess and the Heartthrob - is more than Pippa's typical romcom, it is more than a romantic story between a hot mess mom and a hottie pop god, it is a book jammed full of emotion that kept leaking out of my eyes. Filled with Pippa's comedy there were also many joyful tear filled moments. Those happy tears literally took my breath away and made the entire story so worth while. Levi is everything you were not expecting, while Ingrid's family is an adorable mess. It's a total feel-good book filled with fun and family.
This entire collection is fun and it's great that all four books are now available in one spot.
What an amazing boxset of Pippa’s hilarious stories. So many laughs, heartwarming moments and amazing characters!
Flirty With Frenemy Ellie and Wyatt have a past filled with heartbreak, sadness and regrets. These two have an amazing second chance love story.
Ellies scars are a constant reminder of the past but she feels safe and loved when she is with Wyatt.
They are both afraid to love one another but their love is undeniable. A beautiful story filled with laughs, love and an amazing HEA.
America’s Geekheart Beck and Sarah find they have so much in common. They are both in the public eye but could use a break.
Amazing banter, laugh out loud moments and a fantastic love story.
Sarah’s dad is so funny…all of his comments to Beck about hurting her are sooooo funny!
Dirty Talking Rival I love baking and I absolutely loved this book!! Holy cow, Pippa makes me laugh out loud so many times when I’m reading her books. But she also gives us characters that are a bit broken, but strong and just need a little encouragement to find their way.
Annika is such a strong, thoughtful and selfless woman.
Grady is a great baker…love the way he talks to his food!
These two have a history and when they last saw one another it didn’t end well. There are a lot of hard feelings, anger and misunderstandings that they need to work through if they want to be “friends”.
The antics, banter, sass and commentary from the other characters is so funny, cringy and delightful. Highly recommend this lol romcom that will bring a smile to your face.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire As a parent - the opening scene is soooo funny, cringy and relatable!
Tripp and Lila have amazing banter and conversations. They are in a battle about how the team should be run. But their undeniable attraction leads them from enemies to lovers.
A great listen!
Virginia Rose, Jason Clarke, Erin Mallon, Joe Arden and Samantha Peachwood deliver a phenomenal performance! They give the characters perfect voice, personality and emotion. I love how narrators take authors words and create a whole new amazing experience to enjoy a story. Great listen
What a pleasure it was to read and listen to these stories all together, the author has a very good way of telling the story of each character, they are all like a big family and I think that is the best of all. The romance, the handling of the different tropes, of course, although they can be read standalone, but in this order the stories are very coherent. Lovely characters (all of them) and I can't wait to continue reading more of these guys.
Here is my review of each book individually in case you want to go read them:
This is Ellie and Wyatt’s story. These two have always had a love / hate thing going on, as he is her brothers’ best friend. This is a fabulous story which is well written and is sweet, fun, entertaining, spicy, and hilarious. I was totally captivated throughout this romantic comedy.
America’s Greekheart
This is Beck and Sarah’s story, and in my humble opinion, and I don’t say this lightly, as I love all of the talented authors’ work, this is her best work to date! Beck is a former boy-band star, come underwear model. Sarah is a recluse, and Beck is instantly attracted to her. No spoilers: this is an absolute must read; you will not be disappointed! This is a beautifully written story, which is fun, entertaining, humorous, heart-warming, with hilarious shenanigans, which all had me totally captivated throughout this addictive romantic comedy.
Dirty Talking Rival
This is Grady and Annika’s story. Grady is a small town baker, and Annika is the one that got away. These two have not seen each other in 10-years, and they used to be best friends now estranged, and Grady finds out that Annika is opening a bakery. Bring into the mix a goat called “Sue” and this is a wonderful story. This is a well written story which has family, friendships, emotions, friends / enemies / lovers, matchmaking, humor, witty banter, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and fun romantic comedy.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire
This is Tripp and Lila’s story. Tripp is a single dad who is determined to but the local failing baseball club. Lila inherited this baseball club and in determined to succeed. These two do not get off to the best of starts, but my word, this is a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy from beginning to end. This is a beautifully written story which is fun, entertaining, humorous, and spicy, and tugs at the heartstrings throughout.
Four standalone, but interconnected RomComs filled with spice, comical banter, and swoon-worthy romance by RomCom bestselling author Pippa Grant. Voice actors Joe Arden, Erin Mallon, Jason Clarke, Virginia Rose, and Savannah Peachwood are their usual extraordinarily talented selves.
BOOK 1: Flirting With The Frenemy is Wyatt and Ellie's story filled with a pirate theme wedding, strip dart games, and "crazy parrot sex." They are BFFs who shouldn't be in love. Even when they try to give in to their attraction calamity ensues to the point of bodily harm. The town of Shipwreck gives this couple a lifeboat. Fav Quote: "He's my joy."
BOOK 2: America's Geekheart is Beck and Sarah's fake dating romance stemming from Beck's private text going viral and blowing up his life; but it also brings love to it. There are a few twists and a lot of sexy time. Fav Quote: I'm having finger orgasms from just touching her "
BOOK 3: Dirty Talking Rivals is Grant and Annika's sweet story as rival bakers. The dirty talk is mostly Grant hilariously seducing his pudding filled donuts to perfection. Then there's Sue, the male billy goat that believes he's a dog. The writer's comedy chops are all over this one. Fav Quote: "You feel that; is that good for you...The donut doesn't answer...under the strain of the pudding I'm stuffing inside her."
BOOK 4: Liar, Liar, Hearts On Fire is single Dad Tripp's and Lila's story and it grabs your heart. Tripp is so consumed with fear that illness will take his kids the way it took his wife that he is an obsessive germophobe. Love isn't on his radar; until the feisty Lila. Too bad he gave his brother's name when they met at the club. Fav Quote: "She's nothing I expected, but everything I want."
I received a free copy of this audiobook from #hambright_pr for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own.
THE COPPER VALLEY BRO CODE SERIES: VOLUME 1 By Pippa Grant
Flirting with the Frenemy is a rollicking fun romantic comedy featuring a single dad military man, an irritatingly attractive blast from his past, pirates, cursing parrots, and a wedding gone wild.
America’s Geekheart is a rockin’ fun fake-dating romantic comedy featuring a billionaire fashion mogul who got his start modeling underwear, the geeky girl next door with a secret the size of California, and more superstitions and secrets than you can shake a baseball bat at.
Dirty Talking Rival is a deliciously fun friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy featuring a smooth-talking baker, the one who got away, and a goat with more matchmaking tendencies than a nosy old grandpa.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire is a competitively fun office romance between a single dad obsessed with baseball, an heiress with secrets, baseball pants, a rundown team, and rabid ducks.
😊What i liked -
✔ Single Dad/Model/Baker/Baseball-Loving Former Boy Band. ✔ I laughed my way through the book (with a few sniffs) ✔ I can't figure out which one character was my absolute favorite because I became a fan of few, which includes a few side characters also. ✔ The banter and the eccentricities of the towns written were out of the park hilarious. ✔ a special mention to all the pets in this series, this series wouldn't be what it is without their presence. ✔ Each book had a great plot with tons of laughs and swoon with a few heartaches. A perfect recipe for a good book.
🤔What could have been better-
✔ I felt Dirty Talking Rival had a bit slow of a start. For a bit I felt like skipping the particular book. (glad i did not)
📚Who Should read : 👶Beginners 💝Romance Lover 💕Enemies To Lovers Romance 😂Rom-com Romance
This boxed set includes three novels. I enjoyed it and I highly recommend it!
Flirting with the Frenemy: I loved this Romantic Comedy and Single Dad story. Ellie and Wyatt's story is hilarious, heartwarming, and also beautiful. Tucker, Wyatt's son, is a cute and fun kid. The secondary characters are also really great. I love the family spirit in this story. The Epilogues are epic! Erin Mallon and Joe Arden did an amazing job with the narration!
America's Geekheart : Beck is a billionaire fashion mogul, and underwear model. He is handsome, loving and caring. Unfortunately, one post on his social media and it all goes wrong. Sarah is a lovely woman, fun, bright, and beautiful inside and out. They are great together and their story is funny and beautiful. Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke did an excellent job bringing these characters and this story to life.
Dirty Talking Rival (Previously Master Baker): Annika and Grady's second chance to love, and enemies to lovers is fun and sweet. Grady is hilarious, sexy, handsome, and supportive. Annika is strong, caring, and beautiful. They are perfect together. The story is set in two rival towns, Sarcasm and Shipwreck. The supporting characters are great. I like the goat! The story has a beautiful ending. Virginia Rose and Jason Clarke are perfect as Annika and Grady.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire: Tripp and Lila's story has it all: fun, emotional, sexy, and romantic. Tripp, a single dad, is handsome, sexy, and overprotective. Lila is beautiful, smart, and strong. They are perfect together. Tripp's kids, Emma and James, are wonderful, and hilarious! I loved their very happy ending. Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood did a great job with the narration.
Wyatt is #bookboyfriendgoals! He's protective, irritating, handsome, a great dad and best friend of Beck. However, he and Ellie have made it their life's work to peck at each other. But now that that frenemy line has been obliterated they learn that all that fighting was hiding some major fireworks! Tucker steals almost every scene he is in and the smexy times are flaming hot! Pirate weddings are the way to go and if Beck could send me his game room I'd be really happy!
America's Geekheart:
Beck is a master of acting the shallow underwear modelling fool but that man hides a deep well of sentiment and sweetness. He fell hard, fast and first for Sarah. Sarah may be an intentional wallflower but when needs must she'll show up and show out! You will want your own pig in a tutu - yes, you read that right!
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire:
Lila was this fantastic blend of sad, persistent and patient. Tripp, former boybander, single dad and baseball nut - he may just have the answer to all her hopes and dreams. How on Earth does Tripp survive being a germaphobe around two kids? As usual any scene with cute kids in makes me giggle. But I have to say #duckageddon was one of my favourite scenes. It's always great to have former couples and random townfolk pop in and see what they're up to now. Smexy, sweet and funny.
Dirty Talking Rival:
Grady and Annika could have been love's young dream but things were said, actions were done and now they're rivals. But how much rivalling can get done when Annika can't bake for toffee? GBBO isn't this cut-throat! Feuding towns, miscommunication on both sides, stubbornness out the wazoo - these two really do get in their own way! I do love the way they are all in for their families - the Rocks are a whole handful to deal with, especially Pop Rock. Annika, Grady and a goat named Sue will keep you in hysterics! I have never heard such innuendo from a baker to his pastries, lol!
The only way to read Copper Valley Bro Code series is in a box set i loved these books and revisiting all the characters from copper valley, first up is Eillie and Wyatt and i just love their banter and there fake dating that turns into real feelings that have been there all along, the audio of this is just *chefs kiss plus that mouth on wyatt excuse the hottness,
America’s Geekheart a underwear model is the main character need i say any more to get you intrigueed lol his celeb status has made beck ryder a main focous and lets just say a tweet that went wrong leads him to Sarah Demsey and trying to get back on her good side , he and she just are the funniest because the tweet isnt exactly flattering to sarah but they way he gets in her good graces and charms her is soo funny and cute, plus a pig and a cat if you know you know lol.
Dirty Talking Rival Grady and annika were soo freaking funny in this book, so grady has been the main bakery in town for as long as he can remember so when his love moves back whos hes crushed on Annika he has to pack on the rivarly baking so to speak, plus this has my favorite trope second chance , i loved seeing grady and annika give into their feelings and really fall in love soo sweet, plus the parot who has a dirty mouth haha,
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire this is my favorite of the whole seires i loved trip and Lila soo freaking much, i wish i could wittness there love in real life, all of there bikering leads to some steamy banter that turns into much more than they thought it would soo freaking cute and smexy.. plus the ducks and running from said ducks haha woke my hubby up laughing while reading this
5 swoony, smiley, h0t, sweety stars! 4 books in one perfect little package. My years expect only the best from Pippa Grant and she delivers every time: I laughed so much with her characters and their adventures, difficult topics got discussed and it’s a great way to raise awareness to issues in the world that we sometimes just don’t pay enough attention.
Flirting with the Frenemy Wyatt & Ellie in their fake dating pirate themed is hilarious! But their epilogue will always be the best HveryEA in romance history. Joe Arden and Erin Mallon really bring the best in these two characters to life.
America’s Geekheart Beck is everyone’s favourite underwear model. Sarah is a smart, accomplished woman in STEM and passionate about saving the world, one bee and giraffe at a time. Jason Clarke (swoon!!!) and Erin Mallon deliver this incredibly funny audio.
Dirty Talking Rival (Master Baker) OMG, Jason Clarke and sweet stuff!!! Sign me up to live in Shipwreck right now!!! Grady and Annika, the goat, the parrot and Cooper (yes folks, he made an appearance in this review, because of course he did) just made me belly laugh. Virginia Rose is great as Annika. Hilarious!
Liar Liar Hearts on Fire Lila and Tripp’s smexy exploits melting my ears and I was fanning myself at times. Tripp was such an unlikely smexy Hero with all his different views on public places health/cleanliness and keeping his kids safe. Lila is so mysterious and their unlove - love relationship just added to the fanning. Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood narrate Tripp and Lila flawlessly mastering the intricacies of their personalities.
If you like laugh out loud romantic comedy audiobooks, then you should check out Pippa Grant’s Copper Valley Bro Code Series, Volume 1. This collection of audiobooks includes the first three books and a spin-off in chronological order:

These audiobooks, focused on members of a former boy band, Bro Code. They feature a friends to lovers story about a military single dad and an irritatingly attractive blast from his past, a fake dating story about billionaire fashion mogul who got his start as an underwear model and the geeky girl next door who has a secret the size of California, a friends to enemies to lovers romcom about a smooth talking baker and the one who got away, and an office romance with a single dad obsessed with baseball and an heiress with secrets. This collection, which was released October 30, 2024, gives the listener almost thirty-five hours of listening pleasure for the price of a single audible credit, and is well worth the purchase. I would like to thank Hambright PR for providing this ALC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Wow! I absolutely loved these books. Amazing characters and wonderful plots. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
Every book and the spinoff of this series has been a masterpiece, truly perfectly executed and very funny.
Flirting with the Frenemy: Ellie and Wyatt’s story was devastatingly beautiful. They were both very good for each other and suited perfectly for one another. Wonderful frenemies to lovers book.
America’s Geekheart: This is a slow burn, enemies to lovers, fake relationship, romantic comedy featuring Beck, billionaire underwear model and fashion mogul and Sarah, sweet and kind woman, who wants to save giraffes. This story was hilarious and very cute, with lots of banter and awkward situations.
Dirty Talking Rival: This is a second chance, enemies to lovers story featuring Grady and Annika. They were best friends, but wanted more. Annika wasn’t willing to wait for Grady while he went to culinary school, afraid of never finding her own dreams. Ten years later, they are back in each other’s lives, and now they are rivals. Their story was cute, swoony, and full of quirky, meddling friends and family.
Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire: This book features a single dad, Tripp and Lila, the new owner of Tripp’s hometown baseball team. They both want the best for the team, so they try to keep their hands to themselves, and work together to bring the team to success.
Overall I loved this collection very much. If you’re looking for a romantic comedy romances with a variety of different tropes and themes then you’re going to love it.
What’s better than 1 book in the Copper Valley Bro Code series? 4 ! The Copper Valley Bro Code Collection Volume One had 4 of my favorite books from the series but let’s be real I actually love them all. No matter what your tropes you are vibing with, this collection has it. Are you feeling Brothers Best Friend/Fake Dating, then Wyatt and Ellie in Flirting with the Frenemy is all you. Erin Mallon and Joe Arden pair perfectly as Wyatt and Ellie. How about hot underwear model/geeky girl? Then Beckett and Sarah’s in Americas Geekheart is calling your name. Jason Clark was the perfect choice as Beckett and Erin Mallon once again killed it as Sarah. Maybe you have a hankering for a little Friends to Enemies to Lovers with a dash of hot baker/ staff sergeant. Then Dirty Talking Rival with have you falling in love with Grady and Annika. I wish Grady would talk my me the way he talked to his dough. Virginia Rose had Annika’s personality down pat. And Jason Clarke was the perfect broody dirty talking baker. Or you could be vibing with Single Dad/Secret Heiress with a sprinkle of baseball fun. Then Tripp and Lila’s hilarious push/pull in Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire for you. Joe Arden really shined (when doesn’t he though) as Tripp and Savannah Peachwood really captured Lila and her hilarious wit. Pippa Grant will always have you laughing while falling in love with the characters in her books.
What a fantastic collection of stories from Pippa Grant! With a delightful array of hotties and their significant others, there’s plenty of entertainment to keep readers thoroughly engaged from start to finish.
The stories feature a variety of tropes, including enemies to lovers, unexpected encounters, a master baker, and a sensitive single dad. Each character brings their own brand of humor and charm, as they navigate the ups and downs of romance. While the journey to love may not always be smooth, it’s undeniably a fun ride! Even if the plot twists are somewhat predictable, the joy is truly in the details. Whether it’s a slow burn that builds tension or an instant spark of love and lust, Pippa Grant knows just how to make it work.
As a long-time fan of the author, I was thrilled to dive into this collection and experience so much of her writing in one fell swoop. The stories are infused with just the right amount of angst, paired with witty banter that keeps you smiling. This series is a true testament to Grant’s knack for creating relatable characters and entertaining scenarios. Overall, it’s a great series that I highly recommend for anyone looking for a light-hearted escape filled with laughter and love.
Disclaimer: I received an audio and arc review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily. Thanks to the author and Hambright PR. 🎧
General Thoughts: I loved this collection. It was super cute. Again, when I read Pippa, I know I'm going to get a funny, quirky, long-angst romcom. And I did once again. If you don't like funny, quirky, or slightly cheesy books, then this author probably isn't for you. Her books can be slightly over the top in some ways, but I love it. This one was so much fun. I enjoyed it immensely.
Pippa is a good writer, and I'm always invested and intrigued by the characters and their stories. The drama is always hilarious, the chemistry is always spot-on, and I am always rooting for the romance, no matter how wild their story is. I enjoyed the antics between the FMC/MMCs in these ones. It was a really enjoyable, cute read. I can't wait to read more by this author. This was a delight.
Spice Meter:❤️🔥 Spicy but not overly detailed or frequent.
