From USA Today bestselling authors Kimberly Knight and Rachel Lyn Adams comes a MM baseball romance packed with undeniable chemistry, stolen moments, and second chances. Crew delivers a steamy fling-to-love, secret relationship, and single dad romance between a closeted catcher and the first baseman willing to keep their relationship hidden. This is book one in the Comeback duet, and the final at-bat happens in Knox, coming soon.

Baseball means everything to me. I’ve worked my whole life to make it to the majors, putting in the hours to improve my game, and sacrificing nearly everything along the way. Including being honest about who I am.

Then the rookie, Knox Singleton, showed up.

We told ourselves it was just a fling, that we were just having a good time. But it stopped feeling casual a lot faster than I expected.

When he got traded mid-season, I tried to play it cool. Pretended like I didn’t have feelings for him. We agreed to move on, but I still thought about him often.

Now we’re teammates again on a brand-new expansion team in Portland, and it’s as though things never ended between us.

He’s still the guy who makes everything feel effortless.

The guy I’ve never stopped thinking about.

This time, I don’t want to hide who I am. I want him, and I want the world to know.

Just when I’m ready to come out, my past throws a curveball I never saw coming.

And nothing will ever be the same.

If you loved the Off the Field Duet and Dibs, you’ll be thrilled to see Aron, Drew, Chase, and Gage back in the dugout as this new romance takes the field.

Crew is book one in the Comeback Duet by the writing duo, Kimberly Knight and Rachel Lyn Adams. I love when these two get together to write. This is a steamy baseball romance between two men who weren’t looking for love, but fate had other ideas.

Crew Stratton is twenty five years old and is a professional baseball player. He was drafted straight out of college into the pros, to the Colorado Rockies. He’s a catcher. Crew is also bi. He has known since he was young, but living in a small, conservative town, he kept it to himself.

Knox Singleton has been playing in the minors for a few years. Like all of his teammates, he dreams of being called up to the pros. Finally, when the first baseman for the Rockies is injured, he’s called up. And one of the first players he meets is the object of his teen age self’s crush, Crew Stratton. He can hardly contain himself. Knox is an out gay man.

These two are both instantly attracted to each other and it doesn’t take long for them to give in once Knox realizes that Crew is bi. Knox is only there until the injured player returns. So they call it a fling. But the more time they spend together, the more they enjoy their times together both in and out of bed. And the feelings begin to grow. When Knox’s time is up, they call it quits, thinking this was the only practical solution. Even though it broke their hearts.

One thing I didn’t realize for pro baseball players is that unless they have a no trade clause in their contracts, they have exactly zero control over their lives. They are traded often and with only a moment’s notice, their lives are turned upside down. Eventually, though, both of these players end up on a brand new expansion team, the Portland Seawolves. As soon as they’re together again, it’s like they never left. And both of them feel like with the Seawolves, they’ve finally found they’re place. Crew is ready to go public with his relationship with Knox. They love each other and are in it for good. But, fate isn’t done messing with them yet. The question is, will this new knowledge be a wedge between them, or will it enrich their lives beyond their expectations?

This is a duet and does come to a cliff hanger. Luckily, book two, Knox, is loaded and ready to go.

Crew is a closeted bisexual and plays professional baseball as a catcher. Knox is an out gay man and plays first base for a minor league team. When Knox gets called up to play for the same team as Crew, sparks fly and these two waste no time getting to know one another. Many challenges are thrown their way.

I really wanted to like this book as it has all the tropes I usually enjoy. But honestly it felt choppy and so many things came out of left field. The two MC’s coming together made sense, they were attracted to one another, but I wasn’t really feeling any romance or emotional development. They screwed. A lot. No joke, between the 14% and 45% marks in the book - 7 times. I love smut and am a firm believer in including intimate scenes that contribute to the development of a relationship. Don’t get me wrong. But they started as a hook up and although they expressed feeling it develop into more, I, as the reader, did not particularly witness that.

The time gap was all over the place. “Two months later”, “two months later” then “three months later”… in the same chapter. The whole book felt like an epilogue. Racing through an abundance of events and spending no time on them.

The surprise pregnancy from a one night stand was a waste of time. Crew didn’t believe the girl at all and demanded a paternity test (as he is allowed to), then rejected the idea of being a father because baseball has always been his life and his only focus. He struggles with the idea of not being able to handle both but acknowledges he would at least contribute financially if the kid is his. The kid ends up not being his and the whole thing is dropped and never brought up again. Then out of the blue at the very end of the book he just happens to run into his ex and she has a kid that looks exactly like him and now all of a sudden the idea of being a father interests him. She says the kid’s his and because the timeline lines up he goes with it with zero doubt. Granted, they have history, but it’s such a 180 from how he handled the other girl. Also, his entire family still lives in the same town as her, his mom even tried to hook him back up with her at one point, and no one thought to mention to him that she has a kid that happens to be the same age as the years that they’ve been apart? Or how none of them thought the kid looked like Crew even though he knew immediately thought the kid looked exactly like him? There was supposedly a town gossip that spread information life wildfire, how was this never speculated upon?

The POVs from the characters from the other books felt wildly out of place. The inclusion of the characters in the story would have been fine, but them being in their POV, I seriously thought someone had accidentally included chapters from another book when I got to these chapters. They almost read like bonus content to the other books and I felt a little lost. I skimmed these chapters to get the one nugget of information relative to Crew and Knox’s story, which was the expansion draft/teams. These chapters are probably great for fans of these author’s prior works, but for someone coming in fresh, they were a less than seamless addition.

The fact that these two “loved” each other but didn’t talk to each other for a year bothered me so much. Y’all are grown men, pick up the phone and send a text message! The cliffhanger was not done well and felt like the book ended mid chapter.

TLDR I didn’t like how this was written, the characters made poor choices, but I’ll probably still skim the next one to find out what happened to that one character. 🤷🏻‍♀️

📖 Crew by Kimberly Knight & Rachel Lyn Adams is available now.

I enjoyed how faced paced this book was. Crew wasted no time making his move on Knox once he found out he was gay. Knox was my favourite. He was so patient and understanding with Crew being in the closet and only getting to have him in secret.

It really sucked how they had to end this fling when they had just started falling in love with each other because Knox ended up being traded to another team. I was a tad bitter that during their time apart Crew hooked up with women while Knox didn’t hook up with anyone.

Grady was such an adorable surprise. I loved that scene where Crew told him he was his daddy. Knox even handled that news so well and was there for Crew every step of the way. He had such a cute relationship with Grady himself. I’m glad Grady’s mum was supportive of both of them. That ending was shocking and I can’t wait for book two.

Crew and Knox start out as a fling that quickly turns into more. after forced time apart, they try to move on, but have a hard time doing so. They're reunited without missing a beat and even with some curve balls thrown at them, they love each other. Bringing in the rest of the Knight- Adams universe is an added bonus. we're left on a cliffhanger that has us all hooked.

Crew, a pitcher for the Rockies was playing an amazing game when another player, Rios pulled his hamstring. He could possibly be out for the season depending on the injury. Crew got called up to the Majors.
The twists and turns in Knox’s and Crew's lives were amazing. That cliffhanger has me anticipating September already

Crew and Knox’s beautiful love story. This book is hands down one of the best books I’ve read, even with the cliffhanger…… I cannot recommend this book enough. The spice in this is hot 🥵 the boys are absolutely gorgeous and I am impatiently waiting for the next book to release. I highly recommend you read this book, I really enjoyed it. First, this book ends on a cliff. If it is not September yet, read or don’t read yet.

I loved Crew and Knox’s story, a love story with secrets, twists, obstacles, and turns. Cameos from our favorite past ball players, and the slow burn between Crew and Knox. The tension is there as well as the chemistry, and then there is Grady, a little attention stealer.

I am anxiously awaiting the next book, Knox.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

The moment this hit my kindle, I couldn’t wait to start it. “Crew” is a steamy, heartfelt and swoony MM baseball romance that I devoured in one sitting.

Baseball has been Crew’s whole focus and life. He’s been happy being a bachelor and living his dream. He’s known for most of his life that he was Bi but has never acted on it during the season. That’s until rookie Knox Singleton shows up. Knox has always been out and has a crush on Crew. And one night on a road trip, the two explore the attraction they have for each other. What was supposed to be a casual arrangement, feelings develop between Crew and Knox. But being a professional baseball player, trades can happen at any time and the two find themselves separated by states.

I loved Knox and Crew’s story so much and I can’t get enough of these two. Knox is confident, caring and a positive influence on Crew and his accepting who he is. I loved that he’s unapologetic and doesn’t hide who he is. But he also understands how it’s a different reality for Crew and is supportive of that. Crew is caring, sweet and a great teammate to his team. He knew he was bi but kept himself in the closet because of not knowing how his team or family would react. The chemistry between Knox and Crew was sizzling from the start and only grew hotter as the book went on. The steamy scenes were so hot and showed how attracted and connected they were to each other. But they truly connected emotionally and just fit so well together. This is a duet so the story does end on a cliffhanger and I’m counting down the days until the next book is released.

"This was my shot at playing at the Major League level, and I couldn’t afford any distractions. Even if they came in the form of a sexy, dark-haired baseball player with piercing amber eyes."

I was truly fascinated by this story, which I read in one sitting, by the way. I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it! Crew and Knox are a great couple with such an emotional intelligence that's remarkable, while being hot and having a huge chemistry at the same time. However, as has happened with every book I’ve read by Kimberly Knight & Rachel Lyn Adams, with this story the authors owe me again, which prevents me from giving it the 5 stars it deserves. And I’m not even talking about the cliffhanger at the end, which I think was necessary given that we already know this duo will unravel next November. Rather, they’re those details that detract from the coherence and chronological order of the plot.

Kimberly Knight and Rachel Lyn Adams have achieved an excellent balance of romance, sports, and emotion that isn’t often seen in Sports Romance books, thanks to well-developed main characters, wonderful supporting characters, a good use of sports to set the story, and realistic and very well-written scenes. They’re great storytellers with tons of talent and creativity.

Arc review

Crew Stratton plays Major League Baseball for the Colorado Rockies, but he is hiding a secret from everyone he knows, including his family, friends and teammates. He has always been bi-sexual, but cannot come out.

Knox Singleton is playing in the minors and waiting for the call that could change his life. When watching the Rockies, he sees one of the players tear their hamstring, he gets the call to step up.

Knox is gay and tells his new teammates as soon as they ask, he doesn’t hide who he is. Crew is immediately attracted to Knox, and after a few too many lingering looks, they hookup. Both are only intending it to be a one time thing, but soon feelings become intense. When they start to get comfortable with each other, Knox is traded, meaning an end to their relationship. They rarely keep in touch, which breaks both of their hearts.

Portland Seawolves are a new team to the MLB. Their general manager is hoping to build a team that can win. He enlists Aron Parker (Traded and Outed) and Chase Matthewson (Dibs), as well as Crew. Could Knox be heading for the team too?

Kimberly Knight and Rachel Lyn Adams have such a knack of writing excellent baseball stories. The detailed descriptions of the play can only be explained by fans.
I loved reading about characters from their other books, forming a found family vibe.
The second book in this duet is out later this year, and I cannot wait as it was left on a cliffhanger.

Crew is such a beatiful love story. I felt the tension. The desire. The need. To look at someone, to want someone, and not be able to act because no one knew Crew was bi, broke my heart. He kept it from everyone including his teammates. He watched Knox walk into the locker room and felt a connection. He would do nothing. Or maybe he would after hearing Knox tell everyone he is gay. He just needed to take that nerve racking first step.

The strength that Knox has with his own sexuality is inspiring. He has no misgivings. He has no regrets. He accepts who he is and was brave enough to come out a long time ago. What makes him more beautiful is his patience and understanding. One night with Knox was better than nothing. Knox wanted no one to know.

Love is love. It can't be denied. The pull between Knox and Crew steamed up my glasses. They were so hot together. They were perfect until Knox is traded. They thought it would be easy saying goodbye. They thought distant would make it easier. They were wrong and I couldn't wait to see who made the first move.

The day Crew walked into the locker room and saw Singleton's name taped on the next locker gave me the hope I needed. I couldn't wait to see how things would go between them. I excited went from page to page dancing in my seat. It was beautiful. It was meaningful. It was everything I look for it a romance. The obstacles just made for a better story.

story of Crew and Knox

This is a second chance sports romance, featuring Crew Stratton and Knox Singleton, and is book one in the Comeback Duet.

Crew’s dream of making it in the majors has always come first, until Knox, his new teammate, reminds him what he’s been missing.

This was a sweet, low angst story about teammates finding love and supporting each other. And then there is a kicker of a angsty cliffhanger in the plot itself at the end. Lucky the next book in the duet is out and I can jump straight jn.

Things to expect in this book are:
Book 1 in duet
MM sports romance
Baseball players
Teammates
Closeted x Out
Second chance
Secret hook ups
Spicy times
Admit feelings
Player traded
Time apart
Reconnected
Coming out
Surprise pregnancy
Single dad
HFN
Cliffhanger in plot

ok I knew it was a duet but WTFFFFFFF lol the ending killed me!
I absolutely loved these 2. Going into this book i didn't realize i had read Traded and Outed. I thought i recognized some of the people in this book and had i pause my reading to make sure I wasn't loosing it lol I absolutely LOVEEEEE when characters from last books pop up like this so it made my whole heart so happy. Knox is someone you just want to squish and never let go off. He has such a big heart and the way he supports Crew every step of the way no questions asked and their relationship is so beautiful.
I can't wait for the 2nd book to come now because WHATTTTTTTT!!!!

I really wanted to love this but it just didn’t work for me. The sex scenes I skimmed because they felt repetitive and overall it was too unrealistic how things unfolded. One melodramatic moment after the next. I was also excited to see the other guys from the other books but having them have 2 random chapters from their point of view was just awkward. It didn’t make sense for the story. So yeah…it just wasn’t for me…the ending sealed the deal and I won’t read the 2nd.

This is my first book from these two authors and i wasnt am so glad that i took a chance on it. This book was so fun to read, i really enjoyed Crew and Knox, and i think this book was a great way to start their story. I think they both complemented eachother really well and i truly liked their dynamic. I want to go back and read the other stories in this world to hold me over until the second part comes out because that cliffhanger had me yellin at my kindle. Im very interested to see what comes next for this pair and their family that they have created.

I will say this is a quick read

However, so many times, I questioned how there could be a second book. I still think a second book is dragging it out. But, I got the arc for the second because I liked the tropes. So here I am reading the first.

I realize now that I tend to not like this pairing’s books so I’m not sure what I expected.

The timeline was all over the place. The relationship growth and love were completely behind the scenes. It was just sex. But not even good to call it erotica? Like, it was trying to be more than that but every scene was just to get us to them in bed again. I felt nothing between them really. I felt like I got more baseball in-the-moment than their relationship actually building on something solid.

It all felt so contrived. The writing was pedestrian at times and awkward. Oh and the random POVs for the expansion team should have been free bonus scenes for their fans from those books. They were wholly unnecessary

DNF @ 54%

The start was pretty standard with nothing to write home about (except Crew's intro chapter was very dull and expo dump-y)

The sex scenes weren't quite spicy enough imo and there was a bit too much of it at the start before the second chance. I would've liked to have seen Crew and Knox talk and get to know each other more before they had to separate. I could buy the pining if they'd genuinely made a connection in addition to being physically attracted to each other, but the abundance of sex scenes and lack of interactions outside of that made their romance feel flat.

idk what the whole "Crew might be a dad" thing was about considering Crew didn't end up being the father. Seemed like a weird melodramatic way of adding conflict (but it didn't really do anything since neither Crew nor Knox really did anything other than wait for the paternity test results?) It should've been a nice opportunity for the MCs to get closer emotionally, but the authors chose to just have them have sex instead of developing an actual relationship 😒

Getting a chapter in the POV of an MC in a previous book was very weird, especially since Aron and Chase hadn't even been in the story at all until they suddenly were?

I'm primarily DNF-ing because the story was boring and the romance wasnt very satisfying.

Crew was a quick easy read. A Facebook ad brought me to this book and that’s good because based on the cover alone I would not have selected this book.

Honestly, the book could have ended on Christmas morning with everyone happy and content, but ok I guess I’ll read the next book “Knox.”

Anywho, this book begins with Crew. He’s a catcher on a team that just got an injured 1st baseman. This leads to Know being called up from the minors.

Crew’s known since he was young that he’s Bi, but he’s never let that secret get out due to fears of how people, especially those from his small home town will react.

But when he finds out Knox is openly gay, he flirts with him and they hook up. These hookups continue in secret and feelings develop between the two until Knox is traded.

They confess their love for one another but know that a long distance relationship can’t work and call it quits. Except they have 1 scheduled hookup and 1 chance meeting. After this chance meeting they both let each other go and cut contact.

All-in-all a year passes and Knox is traded to a new team. This also happens to be Crews new team. A team is lead by 2 out and proud gay men. Watching them live their lives without issue inspires Crew to come out as well.

When Crew travels home to come out to his family he runs into an ex girlfriends and her child. A child who looks just like him. Mallory (the ex) admits that Grady is his son.

Mallory and Crew work together to introduce Grady into Crew’s life. Crew then buys them a house in the same city he lives in so that they can be closer to each other.

The book ends abruptly with a call informing Crew that Mallory had been in a car accident and he needs to get to the hospital right away.

I’ll read the next book, but I’m curious as to how the authors going to extend this story. The main characters are happy with the exception of this one emergency and I don’t see how that turns into a whole new story line for Knox.

crawl in a closet and hide or show the world who he is

Baseball was Crew Stratton’s dream and since he came from a small town where gossip runs free, he never told anyone he is bi. He had a relationship with Mallory, a local girl when he first went to college. But when the game called Crew up, she knew a long distance here again, gone again boyfriend wasn’t what she wanted. They broke up and Crew went on to play baseball and the field, mostly with women. When he met Knox a new recruit to the Rockies team they couldn’t keep away from each other. Thing is, Knox was open about being gay and Crew was still keeping quiet.
Then a one night stand confronts Crew with the news that she’s pregnant and the baby is his, Knox stands by him while they wait for the DNA tests to come back. On top of this Knox finds he is being traded to another team. And once again Crew loses someone to distance.
There are ups and downs, but the love Crew and Knox have for each other never dies. Over the next year both men still hang on to their love for each other but their love of baseball is still the wall that separates them. Even though, as Crew says, he scratches an each once in a while with women. Then Knox and Crew are traded to the same new team. Will they pick up where they left off? Will Crew ever face the world and tell them that Knox is the guy for him? Will the next bump in the road stop them?
There is a lot of heat with open doors. Chase and Gage from “Dibbs” show up in this tale which delighted me. It was a good read for me, Crew needed a little work since he seemed to be the one that was most undecided. And they left us with a cliffhanger I didn’t see coming. The next book “Knox” is to hit the shelves in September and I can’t wait to see what happens. If you enjoy MM romance with open doors, talk of baseball, and learning of the struggles one bi man has when he must decide what or whom is most important in his life.

I feel like I am in my baseball era (literally watching a game as I type this) and I loved this book.

Crew completely delivered on the steamy, emotional, slow burn goodness I was hoping for. If you’re into MM romance, baseball, and second chances (with a healthy dose of secret longing), then this one’s going to hit you right in the feels. And if you are already a fan of the Off the Field Duet or Dibs, you're in for a treat because a few familiar faces make an appearance! I love when we get to see characters from past books make cameos! That is always my favorite.

Crew and Knox have ridiculous chemistry. Every stolen glance and late night text had me kicking my feet and giggling. The whole fling to love tension was so perfect. And even though their relationship starts as something casual, it quickly becomes clear that it’s so much deeper for both of them.

I really felt for Crew and the way he struggled with being closeted, especially as a pro athlete. The pressure, the fear, the sacrifice was all written so authentically. Then there is Knox, who’s just all in from the beginning and willing to do whatever it takes to be with Crew, even if it means keeping things quiet. The emotional push and pull was so well done.

Also, can we talk about the single dad angle? Loved that added layer to the story. It gave Crew so much depth and brought even more heart to the book.

The ending was amazing and I need the next book. Let’s just say I need Knox (the sequel, not the man... okay, maybe both) yesterday. I am dying to see how it all plays out.

If you love sports romances with real heart, believable tension, and characters you’ll root for from page one, then Crew is for you.

Thank you to Kimberly Knight, Rachel Lyn Adams, and The Author Agency for the eARC of this book.

Falling for 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐰 and Knox was effortless—I swear these two are made for each other. Their chemistry is magnetic, their connection is deep, and their love story completely hooked me. I was swept into this emotional ride of 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚, and 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 as they tried to balance everything their hearts wanted with everything their careers demanded.

Watching them navigate their high-stakes baseball lives while holding on to each other? 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙬. Their relationship felt grounded. It was touching and real in a way that captured me. And Knox? His compassionate patience with Crew, giving him space and letting him take the lead on how and when to share his truth, was everything.

These two knew exactly what the game of baseball might cost them—how it could throw them together one day and rip them apart the next. And yet, they kept showing up for each other. My heart hurt for them at times, especially when they had to make hard choices. But thank you, fate. Seriously. You came through when I needed you most.

The guys around them also deserve a shoutout—teammates and friends who truly support. Crew’s bravery in facing his past, especially returning home, got me in the feels. And Grady? Literal cutie pie. Total scene-stealer.

But let me just say… that ending?! It’s a full-on cliff drop that left my head spinning and desperate for the next book. I 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 more Crew and Knox in my life. Right now.

Highly recommend if you love emotionally-charged romance, inescapable heat, and characters who make you believe in all-in kind of love.

4.5⭐

For baseball player Crew, growing up in a conservative small town in Tennessee with a mum who regularly attended church and a dad who was rarely around, baseball was his escape. He worked hard and made it all the way to the Major Leagues. Life is good now as a regular starter on the mound, but he faces a personal struggle—Crew is bisexual and has never shared this with anyone, not even his brother or teammates.

Yet, everything changes when rookie player Knox is called up from the minors. As not only is Knox gorgeous, funny, and kind, but he is also openly gay and seems to be interested in Crew.

And when Knox realises that Crew is bisexual, the two begin a secret relationship that starts as a casual fling but soon develops into something deeper. However, when Knox is traded, they both feel heartbroken and decide to end things.

But months later, Crew finds himself traded to an expansion team in Portland. With this new opportunity, he starts to feel that it might finally be time to reveal his true self to his family, especially now that he’s playing for a team coached and owned by openly gay former players. Just as he begins to consider this, he is unexpectedly reunited with Knox, and they both become determined to make a real relationship work.

And just as Crew is ready to come out to his family, he receives some shocking news. But through it all, Knox's support and love remain unwavering, even as more surprises come their way!

And with a cliffhanger ending, sizzling chemistry, plenty of steamy moments, and relatable characters, this is a fantastic start to the duet. And I can’t wait to read Knox's story when it's released in November!

My thanks to The Author Agency for my copy of Crew. All thoughts expressed are my own. ☺️

4.5 stars!

This is book one in the authors’ new Comeback Duet and I loved it but you should know it ends with a cliffhanger.

Our two MCs, pro baseball players, Crew and Knox were put through hail in this one. Beginning with a no strings attached fling after games and on away game trips, feelings quickly grew on both sides until everything suddenly imploded and, in the space of one day, Knox was traded to a team across the country.

Brokenhearted, they tried their best to forget their time together so that they might have a chance at happiness one day without the pain of losing the only one they’d ever loved. I don’t mind telling you, I bawled my durn eyes out!

There was so much drama and angst here it felt almost like a soap opera. Like if it wasn’t for bad luck, they wouldn’t have any luck at all. But, the sun did finally shine down on them and Knox was traded to the new expansion team Crew was already a member of and their reconciliation was everything I could’ve hoped for.

There was tons of steam in this one, almost from the beginning, which made the hard times almost harder but it also made it impossible to put my Kindle down in hopes of them finding their way back to each other and when they did, it got even better.

As for the cliffhanger, at the risk of sounding like a cold hearted beach, it could’ve been so much worse. Knowing ahead of time that it was gonna end in a cliffhanger, you wouldn’t BELIEVE the images that kept running through my mind the closer I got to the end… I’m ashamed to say it, but, when I got there, it was a tiny bit of a relief but now I can’t wait to find out what happens…

I received a copy of this book for free but am voluntarily leaving a review.

4.5/5✨🌟

Fling to love

So, when these two do a collaboration together, I know the book is going to be amazing. I just didn’t know that this book was going to be a duet but man, I cannot wait when the second part of this book comes out. I have not read any books in this series but now, I need to!

I loved Knox and Crew from the beginning. The way that they came together was so perfect. I loved how it wasn’t until these two started to sneak around and falling for one another that Crew wanted to come out. When he did, it was so perfect, even though the little bit of surprise that he got, and what an adorable surprise it was.

The love they have for each other is just so perfect. The spice is steamy and their confession of loving one another made me eager for these two. They have some an emotional bond that it makes you feel like you watch them fall in love in the most perfect way.

I loved how Crew saw Knox’s name on the locker. Ugh, that whole scene was so perfect.

I love the teammates on the new team and when they tell them to kiss, I laughed because they hadn’t come out to the team. The found family is just top tier.

This was such an amazing book and I hated how it ended, but I just know the next book is going to be perfect.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

This was such a great start to this duet. Crew and Knox just have the best relationship. It may have started out as one having a crush and then getting a chance to play along side him, but it turned into more.
Crew is in the big leagues. He's on a team that he loves and the team just gets along. He's hiding a secret though and having Knox around makes those feelings and urges come up. They hide it and then get separated due to different teams but the pull is still there when they see each other.
Knox was just waiting for his chance to be pulled up into the big leagues. He would watch Crew and his team on television and just dream of his chance to do the same thing. He's a lovable character and honestly just a big kid. It isn't as he would have liked to be but he deals with it and continues his love of baseball. Crew is always at the top of his mind. He's what he wants by his side and on the same team.
They finally get their chance to play together again and then a surprise happens.. It changes the way they look at the future but it doesn't change what they have. This was such a great book with characters you will love!!
I will say I was thrown off when the story paused off Crew and Know and had other characters in chapters but it was all part of the plan. It makes sense once you read after the chapters, I promise.

This is the first book in a duet. I really enjoy all the books written by this duo. In this baseball romance we have Crew and Knox. Crew is a baseball player and he keeps his sexuality a secret. He is bisexual. None of Crew’s friends or parents know about him. This season Knox joins the team and at drinks and getting to know everyone Knox admits that he likes to date men. The team is more than accepting and Crew is stunned. A few days later after a game when just Crew and Knox are alone, Crew admits that he dates men too. Quickly these two admit to an attraction and they pursue a hookup. Crew and Knox are meeting after games in their hotel rooms. Although Knox is out and proud, Crew is constantly on edge worrying about being discovered. I enjoyed this easy relationship between these two men. But of course a good thing must come to an end, when one is traded away and they decide to end things. Fate once again has the, playing together, will they resume their relationship and will it be a secret as it was before. Or will Crew decide he needs to declare his feelings for Knox. This was such a hot, spicy book. This book has tension, humor, lots of baseball, and love. This book does end with a cliffhanger.
