3,5 ⭐️ Oh my god, isn't a year in captivity too long? Argent the Hunted should have found her sooner!! Oh this hurts my heart, my sweet Starlet has suffered so much.
They caught him but lost him, really? I dropped a star because of this.

Wowsers! Monique, you’re writing just gets better and better. This book has me feeling all the emotions and the amount of gasping I did from some scenes in this book?!
The twists and turns in this kept me on the edge at all times and kept me wanting to know more of what was going to happen! The ending was so sweet and I loved it so much!
I cannot recommend this any more highly than I do!

Save Me picks up right where that brutal cliffhanger in book one left us hanging, and let me tell you—it does not disappoint.
Before diving in, please make sure to read the trigger warnings and author’s note. Monique Koen makes it clear that this installment is darker than the first, and she means it. The themes explored here are heavy, raw, and not for the faint of heart.
That being said, I was completely consumed by this story. I didn’t think I could fall more in love with Starlet and Argent, yet here I am—head over heels. Their character development and growth in this book were phenomenal. The dynamic between them had me hooked from start to finish, and seeing Argent’s softer side had me melting into a puddle every single time.
Starlet absolutely stole the show for me. All I wanted was to see her rise above the odds stacked against her, to claim her revenge and stand tall as the badass she was meant to be—and she delivered. That scene with her sister? I was cheering out loud. It was everything I wanted and more.
This book left me with that ache of what now? because I didn’t want their story to end. It was raw, emotional, dark, and powerful—a truly unforgettable read.

It all started with a creep sneaking in through my window and now, I can’t imagine my life without him.
An incredible end to this series. I binged it in one go, it was thrilling, mysterious, creepy, sexy and funny all in one. Book 2 is certainly darker than book 1 but it was chefs kiss and Monique absolutely slayed this as her debut series.
The spice? Well, it was phenomenal like the first book, and we love the return of some knife play. 🔪
If you love a good stalker romance, please do yourself a favour and pick this series up. It does not disappoint.

I was so excited to receive this book in my inbox that I started it that day, and I am so glad I did!
Starlet’s chapters in Part 1 of the book had my hand clammy, my heart racing and I did not know what I was expecting each time I started.
Did I yell at Monique’s when I read the first sentence of chapter 3, yup… just yup!
Monique’s writing is just absolutely chefs kiss and I could honestly feel all the emotion the characters were going through, my heart broke for them and then rebuilt itself with them!
I know this will be a duet I will reread and read again!
I highly, highly recommend this duet for all my dark romance lovers out there!

Haunt me? Good. Save me…? OMG. Save me is quite a few shades darker than haunt me and it was just so delicious to read. The character that really came to life for me was Argent. His personality is a total 10 and did I mention he is 6’8”?! I think this is such a good duet for ones who might be newer to dark romance, Monique hits it every time with the spice, the descriptions. All her male characters really were amazing to me and I loved the interactions amongst the boys. Excited to see what Monique has in store next!

This one was really heavy and so sad in the beginning. I knew our girl was going to get out but it def took some time to get there. The revenge was so sweet and I loved the way this book was wrapped up.

I am not gonna lie, the author kept me on the edge of my bed. After reading Vexed from the same author, I wasn’t sure what to expect from her.
But I knew she will get some of my tears.
This book is darker than the first one and we love it.
And gosh they work for their HEA.
This is the second book of the Duet but not the last book of the series so can’t wait to discover the rest of this universe.

Wow! please check your TW as this book is darker than book 1. Scarlet goes through deep trauma and abuse at the hands of someone from her past. It devastates Argent in ways he was not sure how to process. After all that happened it made Scarlet stronger and accept/ give into her dark side becoming an even more perfect match for Argent.

Save Me is the gripping conclusion to an intense duet, and it’s even darker than Book 1. Picking up right where the cliffhanger left off, the story jumps straight into the action, keeping you hooked from the very first page.
This book had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning, especially Starlet’s chapters. Monique’s writing is captivating! She knows exactly how to pull you in emotionally and how to make you feel connected to the main characters. The balance of spice was just right, enhancing the story without overpowering it.
If you’re a fan of dark romance with a lot of emotional depth, this book is a must-read. I can’t wait to explore more of Monique’s work!

you ever finish a book and love it so much, you don’t know how to put it into words? that was me with Save Me! such a great sequel to Monique’s first book Haunt Me. when i finished Haunt Me, i still had time until Save Me was released. and lemme tell you that was so hard 😂😭 i just wanted to know what was gonna happen and be with the amazing characters again. so i was super excited when Save Me came out and i could jump into it. it did not disappoint! please go pick up this series, it’s worth it!
