With The Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent being a favorite anime of mine this year, I was eager to continue on with the manga, uncover more details and stay in this charming, quiet fantasy world just a little longer.

Vol. 3 of the manga follows closely to the anime with this installment following plot threads from Ep. 4,5,6 & 8 I believe. Going into this volume I knew I'd already be aware of some of the major plot points: Sei using more of her abilities and drawing attention to herself then leading to the kingdom appraising her saintly powers. Then of course the introduction to the mysterious and delightful main character of Yuri Drewes, grand magus (another one of my fave characters in this series!)

Of course there's a couple details that the anime doesn't explore too much, but the manga does like Commander Hawke having a brother?! (who happens to be the mage Erhart), and more internal dialogue from Sei's pov about her magic and how it works.

Sei is just such a loveable heroine and despite not wanting to disrupt her peaceful life, doesn't mind using her magic to help others across the kingdom. Maybe its cause of the short length of this volume, but it felt like there wasn't nearly enough moments between Sei and Albert (they are so CUTE!!) and it does feel like the anime takes time to expand and continue more plot threads + character arcs. But overall, I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to revisit this world yet again (for the 5th time if I'm counting the anime too!)

I'm eager to continue either the manga or light novel series and follow Sei on her next adventures while I (hopefully) wait for a second season of Saint's Magic Power, if that'll ever happen.

Saint's Magic Power Is Omnipotent is a truly wonderful isekai filled with a cast of loveable characters, an interesting magic system, yet a slow but leisurely and enjoyable plot that's always such a joy to read if you need a quiet fantasy series!

Sei may not want to be the saint, but she can’t help throwing down a few miracles when needs must. To her dismay, this attracts the attention of both the leader of the royal magi and the king himself. Sei’s not one to lie about her ability, but will that threaten the comfortable life she’s created in this new world?

This series is just delightful and probably the best isekai I’m reading right now. A lot of that is down to Sei herself, who remains such a winning and charming heroine (I imagine I say this every time I review this series). She’s not ignorant to her abilities, but she isn’t arrogant and has a wonderful self-effacing quality to her.

It doesn’t hurt that the art is also broadly gorgeous and Sei has such adorable expressions (although Yuri, the aforementioned royal magi leader, also has more than a few moments). This is one good looking book with a really strong lead, so it has a really strong base to build off.

Sei being so endlessly nice makes it easy to root for her and hope that she makes it to a good end. Which is important because the story here is fairly slight, largely revolving around Sei being appraised after her miracle, seeing the king, and then, later on, picking up some coursework.

We do get some welcome asides on Aika, the other young woman who got summoned along with Sei. It’s an interesting contrast between the two of them and how they’re having very different experiences in the world. I did appreciate that Aika isn’t a total fraud and even a non-saint person from another world has special abilities.

Besides adding Yuri into the harem mix with the rest of the men, and he’s a pretty fun addition make no mistake (though I still think Albert is the one true pairing), this is a pretty slight volume. There’s a LOT of table setting for potential monster hunts and classes and Sei being awesome.

There’s just not much else. It’s a testament to the writing quality that none of this feels boring and even a book largely focused on mundane moments is terribly entertaining because of how it’s presented. It’s got some really good laughs in here too (Sei getting prepped for her audience with the king is great).

4 stars. This is such a sweet, fluffy story that shows how to make a good isekai even with a lead who breaks every power rating in the kingdom. The reluctant heroine who enjoys her life and keeps drawing men into her orbit remains a real winner.

"What I really want is to live in peace and quiet but that ordinary life is getting further and further out of reach. But when I think about how happy the knights were after what I did I wholeheartedly believe that healing them was the right decision."

I LOVED this opening chapter so so so much!! I've admired Sei, even MORE, in this volume because that opening quote really shows WHY I love and admire her! She is kind, always learning, and doing all she can to help other people, even if in this case, it was at the risk of the "quiet life" she was hoping for going up in smoke. Truly, more and more her actions are showing she IS the saint!

I really enjoyed this volume! Sei's expressions are hilarious as she finds out being given a reward as well as needing to have her stats appraised. When Sir Albert came as an escort when it came to the first event and how she held herself together, but is totally failing is super adorable! It was the same during the appraisal because Sei really is surrounded by handsome men and the Grand Mage is no exception! LOL!

And speaking of, I really like him! He reminds me of Jude (WHO I DEEPLY MISS 😭😭😭) in he is bright and expressive. He also reminds me of Sei in a way because while she is always trying to grow and further her magical abilities, the Grand Mage is always wanting to learn more about magic, whether that be his own or other people's. It makes him fun and enjoyable to read about on page, especially with the bonus chapter/pages where we see just HOW expressive and fun he can be!

I think if there was any disappointment in this volume it was that we didn't have a "long" romantic moment between Sei and Sir Albert. Still a fantastic volume, but I feel like I got spoiled on that date in the previous volume! LOL! Hopefully will see more of him in volume four! <3

With that said, are we going to see more of Aira in the next volume too? I was surprised to see her make an appearance in this volume! Not only that, it seems like maybe things aren't going that well for her? Very curious if will see more of her!

I continue to super love this series and SO glad I FINALLY started it! So wonderful and highly recommend!!

(Unrelated, but I love when Sei is like the "fifty percent bonus curse strike again?!" Bahahahaha! Also love seeing how Johan, her "boss," cares for her wellbeing and looks out for her compared to her boss in Japan.)

Sei’s secret is pretty much out of the bag now, and with that comes the introduction of Grand Magus Yuri Drewes, who seems like he might bring a little bit of trouble. As head of the Royal Magi Assembly, his obsession with magic makes it feel like he might just want to experiment on Sei to figure out what makes her so special. But that might be a little too dark for the series… right? We’ll probably just see him throw her in sticky situations.

This volume felt a bit like filler, though it does include some key moments like Sei’s magic appraisal by the Grand Magus, the king learning she’s most likely the saint, and the setup for what’s next. Even so, I’m still looking forward to seeing where the story goes from here!

I read Volume 1 on Tuesday, ordred 2 and 3 on Wednesday. They arrived on Thursday, when I read volume 2. And today is Friday so I read volume 3.

This volume wasn't as much fun as the previous two. O sadness. I still enjoyed it, but I didn't enjoy the heck out of it. We meet Yuri Drewes, and according to the afterword, everyone likes him. I, alas, do not like him. I find him calculating and irritating, and {{shudder}} There wasn't enough of Albert Hawke in this one, and I do like him (although he did show up once.) I did know Erhart was his brother.

I wasn't sure why the story jumped around a bit--there's a healing in the penultimate chapter of the previous book that takes up again as this volume starts, but there was material in between that interrupted that story.

I like that Aira seems to be about to step back into the narrative, but I dislike that the prince seems to be...well, overly possessive? Maybe even abusive? That feels out of place in a book that's been otherwise all positive comfort/comfort material. (And what ever happened to them asking if Sei would cook for Aira?)

I'm a little confused because usually "magic lessons and training up the hero" is my favorite part of one of these sagas, but I feel as if she didn't really learn that much now that Yuri has taken over. Regardless, I am going to look forward to the 4th volume in December, and I figure I'll reread all three right before it comes.

As expected, wanting to help everyone sorta let the proverbial cat out of the bag. Sei doesn't seem too pleased with the extra attention, but at least her friends are still her friends and not treating her any differently. What is surprising is how her meeting with the grand magi goes. Sei is so easy going about things mostly that it is strange even subconsciously her power would be able to do that, though it is explained as they dive into their levels. Of all the rewards she could have asked for though, of course she would only ask for things that would further her knowledge and potentially also her skills as a result of that. It doesn't sound like people are thinking too kindly of Aira at this point, and the prince certainly isn't winning any favors. Meanwhile everyone seems to adore Sei and she seems to have settled in rather well even with the complications with all of this added attention and need for her abilities as a Saint.

I was so excited to read this after reading the previous volume.

Suspicion arise that maybe Aira is not the Saint and that the Saint is in fact Sei. Sei wanted to live a quiet life but it appears that will not be the case. Not after healing numerous people's injuries including someone with seeing issues that can now see.

She is summoned to meet the King, and decides that she wants access to the restriction section to learn more about magic.

Close to the end, it appears that Aira is having issues with her classmates at the Academy because of her closeness to the Prince. I am curious to learn more about her and her life since being summoned.

Sei's power level is evaluated and she begins taking magic classes.

Part of why I enjoy reading about Sei is that she's so honestly self-effacing. She wants to help people and is thrilled that her magical powers can be used in this way. She likes reading, and research, and gets to start magic classes (and you've got me there because I'll read almost anything with a 'magic school' theme). I hope this doesn't completely take her away from making potions and cooking food which I also enjoy watching her do.

CUTE AND FLUFFY!!!

more men for sei’s harem…I’m not complaining (≧∇≦)Al’s brother and the grand magus get the most page time here, the latter being an especially interesting character.

we also get a hint of aira’s introduction - I hope she and sei become friends and not enemies. seems like aira could really use it.

sei is so OP but I’m here for it!!

Sei's adventures continue as she goes a little overboard with her healing magic. Then an assessment of her powers pretty much concludes that she is the saint (what we already knew) and Sei gets to cash in on the King's apology.

Personally, it makes me happy that Sei's request is "I want more library access and a private tutor." Learning is fun ♥

Things heat up as Sei's demonstration of healing draws more attention towards her being a saint. The Grand Mage is awake and she is starting to get magic training as well as access to the restricted section of the library. This has been a fun read!

I’m not sure why they’re still questioning if Sei is the saint. It’s kind of hard to miss the healing that actually regrows limbs….
