[Siren The Lynn Hagen ManLove Erotic Alternative Paranormal Romance, M/M, vampires, light consensual BDSM elements, whipping, sex toys, HEA] Lester longs for someone who will understand him, someone who will take him away from his humdrum life. The only thing he has going for himself are his job and friends in the neighborhood watch. But even those things leave him yearning for something more. When he meets Harley, Lester is determined to find that something with the handsome man. Harley has scrubbed minds for as long as he can remember. But after meeting Lester, he starts to feel like there is more out there. Lester makes him want to change, to accomplish greater things. As Lester explores his world with Harley, he discovers a new side to himself. He nearly finds himself in trouble when he wanders to the backrooms at the Manacle, and again when Vick's assumption is proven correct. But when a new Vampire Hunter comes to town, all other threats pale in comparison to the man who just might be the Ultionems greatest enemy. ** A Siren Erotic Romance
Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
Lo único interesante en este libro fue lo de los nuevos cazadores porque definitivamente la pareja protagonista no me gustó, es más, me aburrió. Jonah también es otro personaje super interesante, porque ¿Como sabía él que los cazadores estaban por llegar?

Overall... Liked. It was fun seeing the 'Dante' neighborhood gang in action again. They make for some snickers for sure. Of course there are a few off the top of my head things that bother me.
Harley and Lester's first time... Location Location Location.. and seeing as being intimate with your mate for the first time I would think you'd want to make it special. It just didn't feel that way to me.
The ending.. didn't care for it. Didn't feel like a cliffhanger but it didn't do a satisfactory feeling job either. And it appears the neighborhood watch is getting split up. Not that I necessarily see more of them in the future, although I'm sure something weird could be made of the scrubbing effect on the guys along with the super bitch wife that Bob is afraid of.
And now that I think of it.. The title. It really has no bearing on the story except for one small spot. Plus the glimpse we get of Lester possibly liking spankings not only wasn't followed through on much but Harley didn't seem like a match for it. Didn't get the impression it was anywhere near one of his kinks.
On the plus side (big question mark.. can't make up my mind) is there is a new group of Hunters. I got the impression that they could almost be as fast as vampires. Certainly cunning and a much bigger threat as of right now.
¡Me encantó! Me encantó, me encantó, ME ENCANTÓ. ♥

Well, I delved into the Bracverse a 2nd time and now there are 121 books - yikes! I loved this Universe the first time I read it several years ago and now I love it more, I really do, but I've only been able to read these series (and I have expanded to all the books that are currently out in each): Brac Pack Christian's Coven Zeus's Pack Demon Warriors The Exiled
These are the series that start the Universe. Reading them in order is a must. Each book has it's own love story but there is an underlying story that plays out throughout them all. As you get towards the end of these series, other series come into play and I noticed that, since I did not read them, I missed some of the characters being mentioned (good and bad) but I was still able to follow because the main ones stay the same.
One day I WILL buy these and read them all!!! (For the correct order, just look on the Internet for Lynn Hagen Reading Order): Brac Village Shadow Tribe BPNG (Brac Pack Next Generation - Brac Pack kids) The Remus Brothers Wolves of Desire
Not a fan of Lester character. Dating women even sleeping with many of them to please his father because he was starving for attentions from his unaffectionate father but no matter what he did, his father never satisfied. Thankfully Harley were there, to saved Lester from his boring life and showered him with love he deserved.
Rating: 4 stars Despite the awful title, I really liked this book. What I liked most about this story was the Vic and the neighborhood watch. They were over the top ridiculous, but I found them funny. Overall, a good read.
I was doing my best here and at first things were okay. Sure, Lester does not seem a whole lot like the memories I had of him previously (although my recollections grow fuzzy with time), but he and Harley have their moments. Things progress predictably enough, which isn’t a problem for me in most cases, nor is it here.
It’s just… That big, overall back-story bores me so very much. This is pretty much why I put off this series (and its siblings) for such a long time. I find it difficult to be invested in something that’s so fragmented. Interest in the particular characters who deal with the mess on the front lines just… tends to fade over time. And how am I supposed to be thrilled by the plot itself? There’s always a big bad (or two) lurking in the background, someone impossible to touch by the good guys. After a while he gets killed off by an even bigger bad, who takes over the position. The good guys can’t really touch him. The threat intensifies and lingers. Rinse and repeat. There’s just no end to it, no major victories or moment of utter glory. Not really moments to sit back, relax and allow satisfaction to wash over you. Always more threat, more blah…
It’s stressful. And it interrupts the individual book’s romance. Sometimes they barely are connected at all.
I need to make this clear: This isn’t a bad book. It did not offend me. Even the slight bits of BDSM were sort of okay (especially since they were merely intended as dabbling, nothing serious). And I even appreciated that there was plot to follow. The writing’s not great by any means but the author clearly is experienced. (So much so that I could swear at times she goes into automatic mode, whereupon some statements become rather less than accurate.) But I am sick of being weighed down by a huge plot that bores me when I want to enjoy my fluffy romance.
So I really don’t know what to do. More volumes have come out since this one (in several of the other series; is anyone able to read these things without a chart?), and yet I am not terribly motivated to continue.
finished. what a waste I feel with this one. felt like it was a big filler with some important things sorta kinda thrown in there and then... the end. kinda annoyed. there was no satisfaction. I didnt like lester or harley they were boring as individuals and boring as a couple. the end... I feel like a d-bag but thought I be honest. I (me) did not enjoy this at all.
I rounded up because of some of the "important stuff that was thrown in" for the next installment and I found midly entertaining enough.
I just loved how this book started and ended. Lester and Harley are mates. These two had a few problems to work through and they did despite a vampire hunter and his group showing up and killing an elder. These two admitted their love for each other. Can not wait for the next book. Erin.
Still reading but thought I would just go ahead and rate...THE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH CMTFU! LOVE THEM TO PIECES! "Don't let the smell of Bengay fool you."
I love this series I do think it's getting confusing and that more info should be given I think Christian coven is my favorite out of these series that go together.
I definitely enjoyed this book in the, "Christian's Coven", series. I just love those comical and hilarious guys of the neighborhood watch. They're so adorable, and speaking of adorable, Jonah is extremely intriguing as he runs around with his fairy wings out, drinking crimson, and foretelling what he sees, not to mention, playing with his tea set and vampire dragon toy. I just loved him. Harley and Lester are mates, and they have to deal with human vampire hunters, bombs, and danger all around them. This was a fascinating read that absolutely kept me enticed and smiling. :)
