Queen Isabel perfectly captures the lyricism and magic of its source novel, Messenger. On the birth of her two daughters Queen Isabel is granted a glimpse of her twin's uncertain futures. But all is not forsaken. For although these girls will have powerful enemies, they have also been granted powerful protectors.

This short story provides a deeper look into the world of The Great Lands and will delight all fans of Kate Tremills.

I purchased this short story from Amazon because it is a prequel to the book, Messenger, which was given to me by the author a month ago. As it has piqued my curiosity and because I am a big fan of mystical, magical books, I am now off to read Messenger! Thanks, Kate, I know I'm going to love it.

What a beautiful introduction to the first book, Messenger. A reader really gets an insight on where Gabriella and her sister begin their journey and how the Divine Ones will protect the twins.
