Trust makes all the difference when love and danger collide.
Cinderella and Prince Charming...brought together by chance, or design?
Interior Designer Gina Allen is flat broke thanks to a shady assistant who didn’t pay the taxes. Now she has no choice but to accept a job from the very rich, very handsome CEO Dean Daley—even though he’s accused her of conspiring to steal his software designs.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer—that’s why Dean hires his rival’s ex-girlfriend. If he can use her to prove Jack is behind the spiraling downfall of his company, he might be able to turn things around before losing everything.
Dean, however, doesn’t count on Gina being everything he never expected, or his heart being in more danger than his business. Will the trust they’ve built be enough to keep them together—or will an unexpected betrayal tear them apart…and possibly cost them their lives?

Wisconsin native Stacey Joy Netzel fell in love with books at a young age, so for her the graduation to writing them was natural. A member of Romance Writers of America (RWA) and Wisconsin Romance Writers (WisRWA), she credits her parents for encouraging her dreams of becoming a published author, as well as the very talented friends she’s made in WisRWA since joining in 2004. Her Christmas anthology, MISTLETOE RULES, took 1st place in WisRWA's 2010 Write Touch Readers' Award. Check out her romantic suspense Colorado Trust Series, Trust in the Lawe, Shattered trust, and Shadowed Trust. Other titles include: Lost In Italy, Ditched Again, Welcome to Redemption Series, Chasin’ Mason, Dragonfly Dreams, If Tombstones Could Talk.
An avid reader and big fan of movies with happy endings, Stacey lives in Wisconsin with her husband and three children, a couple horses and some barn cats. She works part-time as a travel agent, and in her limited free time she enjoys gardening, canning, and visiting her parents in Northeastern Wisconsin (Up North) at their cabin on the lake.
I didn't enjoy the second book in the series as much as the first. I like how the characters from the first book appear in the second. It keeps momentum going although Gina and Dean's story was fun to see progress. Although Dean didn't trust her at first he comes to realize that Gina has as much reason to hate her former boyfriend as much as Dean. IN essence he screwed them both-but it was nice to see the trust build and support earned as they progressed through their relationship and the story unfolded. It was a bit predictable as I figured out who was the traitor quite early in the story. Hoping book 3 in the series is a bit more challenging.
Usually I don't read the second in a series directly after reading the first, but am not sorry I did! It was great. I enjoyed the first a little more but really enjoyed this book. I liked both characters and the pace of the book. It built and didn't give everything away. I did have my suspicions and was right but that didn't take away from the story.
My first book my Ms. Stacey Joy Netzel and I loved it. It was filled with suspense, romance, and much more. Gina was dared by her best friends to show her ex she was over him. What she does in the club is both funny and mind blowing. Boy does she shock the heck out of one Dean Daley. It shocks her too. Dean has no clue what happened after his mystery women kissed the living daylights out of him. His own Cinderella so to speak. What he doesn't expect is to see her again. But she shows up in his bedroom. If he isn't shocked enough in that moment. What happens next takes him further into shock mode.
See what happens and why Gina is in his room.
What happens next will have you reading and flipping those pages.
I won this book and started reading. I couldn't put it down. So now I'm going back to read book one.
Trust By Design by Stacey Joy Netzel is a fabulous romantic suspense. Ms. Netzel has provided us with a book that is well-written and filled with outstanding characters. Gina kisses a stranger on a dare. Dean chases Gina when she kisses him and leaves the bar, but she's gone. He's surprised when she arrives at his home as his new interior decorator. Their story is loaded with suspense, action, humor and sizzle. I enjoyed reading Trust By Design and look forward to my next book by Stacey Joy Netzel. Trust By Design is book 2 of the Colorado Trust Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read a complimentary copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel.
Gina is hired as an Interior Designer for Dean. Gina doesn't realize who Dean is right away. Dean also doesn't realize that Gina used to date his rival Jackson. When Dean's tech ideas keep getting stolen he knows he has to figure out who is doing it. Dean thinks that Gina might be behind it, but realizes after getting to know Gina and what she has been through that it can't be her. When evidence points to Gina, Dean must figure out if Gina is helping Jackson. Who was behind everything was a surprise and the ending was really good! Enjoying this series!!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Gina and Dean met by a friend’s dare to kiss a hot stranger. I liked this couple, they were were very drawn to each other unexpectedly. The storyline was very well written with some suspense to keep you interested and keep you on edge. Gina’s friends and spouses supported and kept her safe. I really enjoyed this book, it was my first time reading from the author. I’m looking forward to read many more from her too.
Well well Stacy has done it again! Dean has a hard time believing Gena and has discovered that he loves her! Will Dean find the leak? What is with the black dress?? Hmm seems to be Dean and Gena's go to phrase in the caresses! If you like happy ever after with a smidge of heat, distrust, flippant remarks and you can chuckle then this is a book for you!
I received this arc in exchange for an honest review. I have read other books by this author that, I think, were better. So I could not give a 5* rating on this one. It is fast paced and very well written.
Gina and Dean can they get past all the betrayal and lies This is a romantic, suspenseful story of corporate partnerships, betrayal and love. The characters and plot are exceptional and very realistic I loved this story.
A nice romance story with a good dose of industrial espionage thrown in. The storyline was good and the characters were interesting and well written. It’s the first I’ve read from this author and I’ll definitely be reading the rest of the series.
Trust By Design is the second romantic suspense book in the Colorado Trust series written by author Stacey Joy Netzel. Thanks to the author for the complimentary copy. This is a voluntary review.
This is another great romantic suspense novel in the Colorado Trust Series. The chemistry between Gina and Dean is undeniable. I've found that so far the books have a nice balance between suspense and romance. The only thing I wasn't fond of was how Gina didn't always use her best judgment. She would say to herself that she should do one thing but then go and do the opposite potentially putting herself in danger.
Overall it is a great book that I would read again. I highly recommend this series so far.
This was a darn good book. I read Evidence of Trust last year and I really liked it so I thought I'd try this one. I like Dean and Gina and I especially liked the sexual tension between them. Most of the time the author doesn't tell you about any kind of tension or want or passion but suddenly there's that horrible gratuitous sex. Not so with this book. I liked Mike, Dean's friend and Britt, Gina's friend. I hated Jackson and I was surprised at who else was a bad guy. I'll probably move along to the next book, Trust in the Law now.
So....loved the first in the series, but I was a little disappointed with the second. It was a good read and the plot wasn't bad, but the two main protagonists in this story just didn't pack the same kind of punch as in the first book. The author clearly has a knack for keeping up your interest in the progressing romance and even manages to hold off on the highly anticipated sex scene until at least two thirds through the story - that's a talent in itself. I really hope that the third in this series raises the bar a little.
This book was well written just like the previous one. I liked the book 1 better due to the unexpected ending. In book 2, it was pretty easy to figure out who the saboteur was as soon as all the characters were introduced. Even so, the book was great and I'm on to book 3!
Great story about a interior design whose company was going under and a computer programmer's computer also in jeopardy. Their unlikely meeting and joined alliances makes for an entertaining read. Loved the suspense in it.
It was just kind of... there. I can't put my finger on why I didn't like this book any more than I did. The characters were fine, the plot was entertaining if a little over-done, and the ending was satisfying enough.... it just didn't do much of anything above and beyond passing a few hours.
