I was so much looking to Claudio and Grady’s story since I finished reading book 1, “Don’t come for my Operator” and it didn’t disappoint.
Two people who have fought side by side for so long and keep doing it. Friends, brothers, Operators, family and so much more. Afraid to shatter whatever line they had been dancing of for so long.
Judge: “Did I miss something?”
Shaun: “Oh, just a beautiful moment between two idiots who finally figured it out.”
I guess, it really only takes one moment to make you decide to act on your feelings. Because life’s too short. “I don’t know what comes next, but I know I don’t want to do this thing called life without you”
Once again the world building, the plot and the twists kept me turning the pages and wanting more. This book is action packed and a roller-coaster of emotions. This story has it all. A cat named Birba, a touch of Italian uniqueness, banter, found family, so much glitter (#iykyk), getting to know better the guys of the Black Squadron and revisiting with the guys of the Red Squadron and, of course… (my) Zenko!

Stone’s books are extremely well written, extraordinarily detailed, with explosive action sequences and suspense filled moments. Loved it and waiting for the next!

Don't Come For My Night Stalker is the second book in Annabella Stone’s excellent Black Squadron duology. A political intrigue , intense combat and suspense filled story that focuses on a long standing unspoken love between elite op Grady Montreux, and Claudio Stancanpiano, Black Squadron’s commander.
Stones series ’ series and books, which are heavily intertwined with each other as they are part of this overall agency and oversight task force, have the same locations and repeat characters/couples. It’s a densely populated and complex military universe where the protocols and procedures are rigid and complicated.
Stone gets this and layers it beautifully into her characters and their storylines.
It’s a soldier’s story. Complete with nightmares, PTSD, trauma and fears of committing due to the fact that the job makes any future tenuous. So a realistic based storyline for two soldiers who have been in many campaigns and are still fighting, but in yet another capacity.
A international arms and drug dealer who has been an ongoing major villain in other stories appears here. Another key element of Stone’s’ series and ability to maintain a high energy and realistic flow in the universe.
The scenes between Claudio and Grady are moving and intense, especially due to the circumstances. I love the communication between them that finally allows them to see a future or at least a HFN as a couple together. That’s believable.
As, frustrating as it is, so is the ending. Claudio and Grady’s relationship story had wrapped up but an even larger story and plot is just beginning.
Stone’s books are extremely well written, extraordinarily detailed, with explosive action sequences and suspense filled moments. Loved it and waiting for the next!

We finally meet Claudio properly and see how he gets his man.
I read Annabella Stone since she started with her Delta Panther series. Over her various books, she always hinted about Claudio and who he was. Now I finally have the answer.
This book is fast and slow, fast on the action, something the author does very well. She is great in writing military action, she clearly does her research, and while it's sometimes difficult to follow, you feel like you are in the middle of it instead of just watching from the sideline.
There is overlaps with other characters from her Red Squadron books and we are finally also introduced to more of the squardons.
Sometimes I feel I need a who's who at the beginning but if you read about a character before, you will recognise him again. One of the great things she does is keeping her guys real and true to how the character was portrait before.
So, the slow - that's the romance. This is a teammates-to=lovers book and a case of pinning for each other until one gets hurt. The book opens with a bang when Grady breaks all their unspoken rules. The cat is out of the bag and they now have to deal with it while trying to get the bad guy.
And it's done beautifully, both finally voicing what was always there and they find their way forward in the heat of the battle. It's quite quiet, subtle but always there but never in your face. They are private persons and their romance is private.
I love that the characters are older, you won't see cocky 20 something, you get guys who have been through a lot, whose personality and outlook to live has been shaped by experience, loss and war. They are still cocky, unfailing jocking but in a way that you see how they learnt to decompress and snatch each moment they can get.
The book has so many great lines, so many points where you want to cry, laugh and sometimes both together. The ending is pure Annabella Stone, I think it's my favourite ending ever.

I love these stories! The beginning was exciting and harrowing when Grady was shot down in a mountainous region of Romania and they had to scramble to rescue him before he was killed or captured and they hadn't had clearance from NATO which you know will come back to bite them in the ass. I love the scenes at their base in Italy and how Claudio brought the rescue cat, Birba, with him and Grady spoiled her. It was interesting to read about NATO and a traitorous asset in it because of conditions in the world today and wonder if this has happened. The Romanian drug lord who wanted to kill Grady was a creep and his not surviving was not a loss but the man running the black site in Romania who they had to dispatch made you think and wonder if it was used for extradorinaiy renditions during the "War on Terror. The attack on Mikhailescu's compound was a trap and they barely made it out alive and Claudio saved Grady from having his throat cut. Looking forward to the next book since they know who is the mastermind behind it all.

What a ride! Annabella Stone once again delivers. Don't Come For My Night Stalker is heavy on hardhitting action with the stress on teamwork and never leaving a man behind. Underneath all this action is the story of two men finally acknowledging and acting on long held feelings for one another. They say timing is everything and for Claudio Stancanpiano crossing the line into personal with one of his men, there has never been a right time. He's the leader and must maintain his professionalism. But, when Grady Montreux's life is on the line professionalism along with a good swift kick from a close friend, keeping distance flies out the window. A Romanian warlord terrorist is making the Black Squadron really earn their money. The deeper they dig the more corruption they discover and the lines are blurier. Claudion and Grady forge a relationship, though tenuous at first, becomes rock solid.

Claudio finally gets his man!
We have watched Claudio and Black Squadron evolve through the others books by Annabella Stone. Now they have their own series. This one starts with a heart wrenching bang. You hold your breath while reading, sitting on the knife’s edge. And it doesn’t stop! One after another, the action is never ending as the teams destroy the Romanian terrorist’s network.
Grady and Claudio have been dancing around each other for years. Claudio thinking he didn’t deserve the kind of love Grady was offering. This story made me laugh, cry, gasp, and groan as they navigate their way to their happy ending. No spoilers, folks. JUST. READ. THIS. BOOK!!!!!!
Oh, and the ending……..have tissues ready. And not cause it’s sad!

Claudio and Grady
From the first page we were not denied action and tons of adventure from Claudio and Grady! Black squadron was hitting every mark and bring them down!
Claudio and Grady had a roller-coaster ride in the middle of all the mayhem with three little words and boy were they earned!!!!
Then we get Bastion thrown at us! The way it looks Bastion could turn In to a two or three book series! Nasty guys can sometimes be hard to bring down you know. But I am prepared for the next story to explode out of annabella's computer! Please hurry!!!

Once again Annabella Stone gives her readers exactly what they were hoping for with the second installment in the Black Squadron series: wonderful characters that will instantly become favorites, a storyline that will tug your heartstrings and edge of your seat danger and mayhem. Claudio and Grady's connection might need to be a secret, but when the chips are down the relationship will not stay that way but in the end it only makes them closer. A great read!!

When you need heart pumping military action with twist!
Claudio the military commander in charge and 100% responsible for the lives on the line. Grandy his teammate has his back 100% and he knows it. Tragic struck and surely words left unsaid can't be contained. Fast paced Military action with twist and turns and revelations coming to light is the biggest surprise. Great series MM romance

Oh wow. This book begins with a bang and the curves keep coming. Claudio and Grady are familiar to those that have read previous books and seeing them get their HEA? Well, it’s simply perfect. You’ll have moments of extreme action while also such sweet and tender moments between these two men. Simply breathtaking.

Entertaining story. This is #2 of a series. If reading about angsty warriors is up your alley, welcome to the world of military heroes. Author Annabella Stone has multiple series in this genre, and she does a wonderful story with each book. I haven't read a single one of her books that I didn't like. In some ways, this was a hard story to read. They have loved each other for so long and finally got together. War is never ending. This was very well done and felt good at the end of this story. Looking forward to the next one.

Fantastic story. Enough action to keep you engaged. The slow build up of Claudio and Grady’s relationship was very well written. Zenko’s actions were hilarious. Looking forward to more in this series

Thoroughly enjoyed this, emotional, action packed and suspenseful story. Great characters with easy teasing banter to break up the darker or intense scenes. Steamy and loving moments as well. Fabulous.

My rating: 3 stars. I love Annabella Stone. … and typically, I give her a sound 5 stars for ALL her series. In this novel, I found there was too much indecision, way to much foreplay with the MC characters that it took away from the actual storyline!. When the action finally came into play. … it was fast, intense, direct and brutal! What I like from this author is she gives us a good mix of humour, usually some backstory trauma for one of the MC, fast pace action, and, of course, the steamy parts! In this novel, you got lots of steamy parts … but was shy on the fast pace action! In this novel, I needed more of the storyline and less of the steamy parts and indecision!!
