Finding A Heartwarming Story of Second Chances, Faith, and Unexpected Love
When a high-profile scandal sends Manhattan public relations executive Grace Anderson fleeing from the media storm and the wreckage of her career, she seeks refuge in the remote mountain town of Laurel Ridge, West Virginia. What was meant to be an escape from the noise and chaos of her past quickly becomes a journey of healing, transformation, and unexpected love.
Grace's fast-paced, high-achieving life once defined her. But in the charming town of Laurel Ridge, nestled between the quiet woods and the flowing waters of the New River, she’s confronted with a slower, simpler way of living—one that stands in stark contrast to the New York City skyline she left behind. Her solitary retreat leads her to Ben Turner, a rugged outdoor guide whose steady faith and quiet strength offer Grace something she didn’t know she hope.
As Grace starts to acclimate to the rhythms of small-town life, from kayaking along scenic riverbanks to attending the local Harvest Festival, an undeniable connection forms between her and Ben—a connection rooted in mutual respect, shared heartaches, and a growing faith that there might be more to life than the pursuit of relentless ambition. But just as Grace is finding her footing, her past resurfaces, pulling her back into the high-stakes world she thought she left behind.
Torn between the allure of redemption in her old life and the peace she’s found in Laurel Ridge, Grace must make a return to the corporate pressures of her former success or embrace the unexpected love, faith, and newfound community that offer her a chance to discover true grace.

Grace is removed from a high power position in New York City and retreats to an inherited cabin in Laurel Ridge, West Virginia. She is embraced by the community as she seeks to figure out her next steps. I liked the characters who consistently pointed her to God and His plan for her life. The setting was a bit over described to my taste, but did not detract much from the story. Sweet story.
It took a few pages before I got into the story but looking back that we’re setting the flow of the book. Grace did a lot of looking at her life. Ben helped her see things more clearly. I was very glad I read the whole story, God was in the pages.
