Thrilling. Twisting. Seductive.

Derailed: The process of going astray from its intended course. The sensual, romantic drama Derailed, deepens as this sequel to Straight Line continues to stun and thrill, revealing truths and lies that shatter this ensemble cast of grey and dark characters.

It’s not looking good for Todd and Landon Jeffries facing hardships within a troubled marriage. The smile Landon wears on the outside is a mask to cover the screams from the turmoil life has thrown at her. Her husband Todd is a good man. Better than most. But his wife is drowning from a past he can't change, bringing a storm he and Landon aren't able to weather.

Drastic changes are affecting everyone around them. Old friendships and relationships begin to wither, while unexpected ones blossom, but the question remains. Who can be trusted?

From Landon's eyes, certainly not the people she once held dear. Who is the snake in the grass slithering about in her circle?

Tropes in this romantic love saga are: enemies to lovers, second chances, forbidden love, secretly rich, you've changed, and rejected mates.

a journey..

4.5⭐️ - I really liked this one. The characters were more mature than I could ever be and they handled conflict well. The writing was improved in this one. I thought Todd & Landon would have been able to overcome their hurdle and it hurt me to read that they couldn’t. I am eager to see what’s next.

Derailed..

Yeah it was ok….. I’m not sure if reading book one first would’ve help but i found it pretty easy to follow the characters story. The plot just seemed a bit predictable, along with the spicy scenes, they were the best part of this book. Other than that, I wasn’t that much of a fan.

Unfortunately I read this book which is part two to On Track but Off Course. I still loved it, but had it to go back. Thankfully the writer is a good storyteller so I was able to follow along without knowing the full back story of the characters. I plan on completing the series this weekend with Book three this weekend.
