Whispers are skittering through the hallways of Monster High, spine-chilling rumors about the hottest new piece of me. So let me introduce myself and set the record straight. The name’s CryptCrier. You don’t know who I am, but I’m die-sturbingly familiar with you all… Your dubious deeds have been done in the dark…and it’s about time they come to light. And that’s why I’m here, boos. After all, secrets don’t make fiends. --XOXO CryptCrier
As a woman who suffers from depression and social anxiety, I’ve made it my mission to candidly share my experiences with the hopes of helping others dealing with the same. This extends into my fiction work, where I pen tales about woeful women trying their best, with a surrealist, magical touch. Inspired by surrealist authors like Haruki Murakami, Sayaka Murata, and Lemony Snicket, my stories are dark and humorous with a hint…well, a bunch…of absurdity.
I managed to miss both the last issue AND the winter special so I’ll have to find those and fill in the gaps but I am intrigued by the mystery and interpersonal drama rn. The art is also really just so good. I’m obsessed with the way this artist draws the ghouls’ hair.
More drama, more gossip, but I really had so much fun and loved seeing my fav characters and see people talk. Or try, poor Deuce. Just gotta remind myself that Dracula died because of something serious. Oh, also that ending, gasp!
My overall review for this series is that it was really good. Had a good story line and some in between plots that were good but didn't take away from the main story too much. The artwork was fantastic and honestly made or broke some of the other comics I've read, I'm glad this artist did it justice. Also can we talk about the first 4 books with Cover A being connected!!
