Fun Halloween read

This was a good Halloween read, with dark humor, banter, magic, blood, healing, love and plenty of steamy monster romance.

Lisette is a witch who wants a life after her divorce, looking after her small farm, but she is left feeling lonely and still threatened by her ex-husband. When he leaves her almost dead in her pumpkin patch her magic mixes with her blood and gives life to Nolan, a pumpkin-headed man; who only wants to help and protect Lisette.

As they spend time together and Nolan starts to learn about life and emotions, they grow closer and their relationship becomes something Lisette never expected. But when her life is in danger again, he'll do anything to protect her.

I didn't quite know what to expect from a story called Pumpkin Hijinks. Would it be too scary for me? Normally I don't read much horror and I don't watch the Halloween or Pumpkin head movies.

Though there was violence (pretty extreme) Pumpkin Hijinks was mostly humorous, very sexy and an entertaining read.

It is more a short story rather than novel or even novella. So it's a very quick read. Even for a slow reader like me it only took around an hour to finish.

It's a great story and I can imagine Lissette having a series of her own (maybe she already does?)

I kinda want a Nolan of my own.

Lissette is a witch with a psychotic ex and she is trying to make a new life but he won’t let her. After he kills her, a pumpkin headed protector is born from her pain, blood and wild magic. Pumpkin man, Nolan, is a sweet and gentle monster with an OTT protective streak a mile wide for Lissette. He is sweet and naive but so charming and naughty. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I absolutely loved this story. It’s dark and sweet with some naughty pumpkin spice and a bright HEA. This was such a fun read and a wonderful Halloween romance. It's humorous, has action and danger, is sweet and so hot, making it very entertaining for me. Nolan ends up coming into being from magic, blood and pain. Lissette is a witch with an abusive ex that kills her....that catches your attention, doesn't it? ;) Expect the unexpected with this book, as you follow these fascinating characters to a fab HEA. I loved this one and can't wait for more by this author :D

Lisette has a small home where she grows pumpkins and vegetables to sell at her roadside stand. Since her divorce from her dangerous and violent ex-husband, she has been rebuilding her life. But he returns and attacks her. When her blood and tears fall on the pumpkin vines, magic happens. And this is how Nolan happens. I love this book! It's an excellent Halloween read.

loved it !! love, love, love Nolan and Lissette... this is their story... a fast paced shorter drama... This is a Monster romance starring Lisette and Nolan. OMG the ex was creepy and scary crazy, however he is needed to bring Nolan to Lisette. I have to say this is super hot and naughty with the best couple ever.

Wild Magic at Halloween

Lissette has gotten a divorce, a pumpkin patch and a new start. One night, the unthinkable happens, but wild magic both saves Lisette and creates… Nolan. This story is wild and a bit trippy, with one lascivious pumpkin-headed neophyte! Nolan’s interpretations (and mis-interpretations) were amusing to read, and the vine interactions were hot. A unique read.

Fun monster read for this Halloween season. Lisette is a witch. She has an abusive ex husband. When he attacks her and her magical blood spills in her pumpkin patch a “monster “ is born.
Nolan takes care of Lisette. He becomes her care taker, protector and soulmate.
The story shows complete character development. I love how Nolan is willing to do anything for her.

It's a cute story. It's written as a short story, and the characters quickly reveal themselves. New life is adorably possessive in an almost childlike way. The premise is original and unique.

Pumpkin Jack for Grownups

A violent stalking ex-boyfriend. A desperate, dying witch. Wild Magic that becomes sentient when fed blood. Put them altogether and you have a quick, intense read with the perfect amount of steam.

The novella is well written and engaging. The characters are developed enough that you can connect with them, and you are emotionally invested in the story. It doesn't try to be anything more than what it is - a short, smutty read with a pumpkin man. This was the perfect and quick Halloween read. Will look forward to more from this author.
