The reader can quickly identify with the main character in helping someone else when you aren’t exactly sure of how to do that but you know you are a bit further along and they NEED you…immediately. Appealing to a wide range of readers and grabs your attention from the beginning. It is time well spent with this one!
Easy to read, wisdom-packed, couldn't put it down. This would be a good read for those who experienced sexual assault in childhood. I'm betting they would feel validated and well-represented by the main character in the book. I found myself tearing up at the end as young people who had been wounded in childhood came together to support a young woman who had been trafficked for sex by a family member. The sense of solidarity among the young victims was moving and hopeful.
