A Mountain Home Christmas: Pigeon Forge Christmas

Rate this book
Still grieving the loss of her husband, Maddie retreats to the peaceful isolation of her Aunt Schatzi’s mountain home in the Smoky Mountains hoping for a quiet retreat. Christmas is approaching, but instead of bringing joy, the holiday season brings memories that intensify Maddie’s loneliness. Snowed in and surrounded by a winter wonderland, she begins to confront the grief that has left her feeling stuck in the past, and the strained relationship with her sister that needs to change.

With the warmth of her aunt’s straightforward wisdom and the quiet companionship of a helpful neighbor, Sam Bishop, Maddie starts to rediscover the simple beauty of life, love, and family. As the snow falls and the fireside glows, Maddie reflects on her past, healing old wounds, and opening her heart to the unexpected.

When Hannah, a shy teenage girl with her own secrets, comes to them for help, Maddie and Schatzi quickly open their hearts and home. Together, they face life’s uncertainties, offering support, laughter, and love as they build a unique family.

This heartwarming Christmas story about love lost and found, the strength of family, and the quiet magic that winter and the holiday season can bring, proves that the light of love can lead us home and help us heal.

Time off is time best spent at the beach, don't you agree?

The beach is my happy place. The sound of the waves are my favorite background music. And the sand between my toes is the best massage I can think of.

When I'm not at the beach, I'm writing or reading or cooking for my family. You know, life.

Maggie Miller a new favorite Author! I really enjoyed this book!! Looking forward to more books!

Maggie has a really good way of catching your interest and moving you into the lives of her characters. Couldn't put the story down, and was impressed with the impact of the characters in my thoughts! They quickly became really good friends that I enjoyed becoming a part of their lives!
The way she developed the emotion and understanding of the characters, made them become real to me ! Very good author, and looking forward to more of her work!!!

A Mountain Home Christmas by Maggie Miller

I am a huge fan of Maggie Miller's books. This book was about finding yourself after losing a love one, overcoming adversity, finding hope and new beginnings. Maggie visits her aunt in her mountain home hoping to overcome the grief of losing her spouse so that she can move forward in life. New friends are made, she helps a young girl overcome her problems and finds she can be happy again. Excellent read.

I love Maggie Miller, but this one didn’t do it for me. It was predictable and a bit slow. I have loved everything else by her!
