Everhope Road #1

Everything I Wanted

Rate this book
Keats is my enemy. And ending up in bed together presents an even bigger complication, considering he’s my grumpy next-door neighbor.

It started with my uptight neighbor being enemy number one. The cocky lawyer always seems to swagger my way with a disgruntled look and piercing eyes when my mail continues to get accidentally delivered to his house. Keats always makes me feisty and annoyed, too. Hence why we’re both always in a showdown where I want to rip his shirt into shreds and maybe his pants, too. Why? Because the attraction is too overbearing and lingers in the air.

And then we snap and give in.

We start the unimaginable. We unintentionally start a neighbors-with-benefits kind of thing. But I begin to see a different side of Keats, and it turns out he isn’t the kind of man I thought he was. The fact that he turns possessive or moves me right into his home due to my house complication tells me that he feels something, too. We’re blindsided by our relationship developing, and neither one of us is sure where this will end. After all, we never planned on being everything I wanted…

Banter, steam, and low on angst, Everything I Wanted is the first in the Everhope Road series, a spin-off from the Lake Spark world. It can be read as a standalone. Readers who love small-town, enemies-to-lovers, next-door-neighbor romances with no third-act breakup will fall for Keats and Esme!

Evey writes heartwarming romances with steamy moments, often in small-town settings with an element of sports. An American from the Midwest, she now lives in a tiny country in Europe where it rains a lot. That is probably why she occupies her days typing away on her laptop with music on repeat and slow-roast coffee nearby. Oh, and she vows to never break up with cake.

Keats and Esme were such a fun couple! The hate and flirty banter spiked some really spicy passion between the two of them.

The push and pull throughout the book is extremely fun and entertaining. The enemies to lovers was STRONG! Luckily that’s my favorite trope! I have to commend the author for successfully keeping open communication between Keats and Esme. Even in moments Esme felt weak or nervous, Keats was there to encourage her to continue to communicate how she was feeling.

All in all, this was a solid read and a beautiful beginning to a new series! I would recommend to all of my book besties who love a strong enemies to lovers romance and those who love it spicy!

Thank you to Evey Lyon and Wordsmith Publicity for the ARC of this book! 🫶🏻

A new series to get hooked on! While some of the characters are friends, we get new ones as well.

A great first meet of Keats and Esme, neighbors, small town fodder with their constant bickering. They cannot stand each other. They continuously provoke each other, creating some hilarious moments. They run in the same circles, and as they are forced together, will the walls come down?

An easy fun read, as the relationship develops, will these two figure out there might be feelings involved?

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

Keats and Esme were such a fun couple to read about. They are neighbors who absolutely go at each other and the tension between them is INSANE. Like its thick!!

The banter between this is amazing. You could just tell these two were hiding their true feelings and when they finally gave in to their attraction, it was incredible. Their relationship progressed really well and I liked that it wasn't rushed and they didn't automatically change the banter once they started to explore things between them.

Spice Rating: 3.5
Series: Yes | Interconnected Standalone - Book One in the Everhope Road Series

Cliffhanger: No

These two are combustible! Seriously, the tension… it’s gripping! You could cut it with a knife it’s that thick.

Keats and Esme are next-door neighbors constantly at each other’s throats about everything. Keats' biggest complaint lately is that Esme’s mail is repeatedly being delivered to his house.

Even though it didn’t take too long, about 20% into the book, when these two gave into their attraction to one another I was like “Finally!” I love that it didn't change their attitudes towards each other right away either and it took time for them to mellow out a bit.

Loved and recommend! Thank you Julie Booklover for recommending I join Evey’s arc team! I’m a fan and looking forward to the next book in the series.

After all, we never planned on being everything I wanted …

“Everything I Wanted” is the first book in the new “Everhope Road Series.” I do love small town enemies lover to romance reads and this was a wonderful read. Esme and Keats are next door neighbors and have a thriving love/hate relationship that provides regular entertainment for the neighbors of Everhope Road. The passion that lies beneath this is intense - both in and out of the bedroom. Everything gets complicated they enter into a no strings, neighbour’s with benefits relationship. After Esme’s house is severely damaged by fire, she moves in with Keats. Will they survive in the same house together? Will they finally admit how they really feel? You keep your fingers crossed …..

“We’re blindsided by our relationship developing, and neither one of us is sure where this will end. After all, we never planned on being everything I wanted ….”

There is never a dull moment! This book is everything you expect from a alpha male small town romance! I’m very happily hooked - I did not want it to end! Once I started reading, I could not put this book down! At times you will laugh, you will cry, get angry and frustrated - most of all, you will love the twists! This book will charm “the pants off you” and leave you going back for more. I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful love story. This is a lovely book that will keep you hooked! It has fun, laughs, intrigue, twists that you do not expect, and physical attraction. You will fall in love with Keats and Esme 💞💞

Tropes/what to expect:

I have been reading the Lake Spark family since Waiting to Score and I have fallen in love with the whole extended Lake Spark family now. Everything I Wanted takes place in a neighboring town of Lake Spark. It takes us on the roller coaster ride of Keats and Esme. Esme inherits a house from her Aunt and it happens to be next door to grumpy Keats.

Esme is a sassy, spit fire, independent photographer who enjoys getting under Keat’s skin. Keats is a grumpy, sexy, lawyer for the Spinners. Keats and Esme’s relationship will take you on a roller coaster of feelings and emotions. The hate and flirty banter between them sparked some spicy scenes. Keats and Esme would do whatever they could to get on each other’s nerves. They flirted through their constant bickering. Everyone around them could see how they really felt about one another.

There was so much push and pull throughout the story which made me chuckle quite a few times while reading. Their banter was epic, the way they knew exactly what button to push to get the other going was perfect. But as you read you can tell that the way they looked at each other it was painfully obvious they liked each other. Even though Keats and Esme would bicker and generally “couldn’t stand each other” they were always open and honest with one another. They had open communication throughout the whole book, encouraging each other to open up and talk.

I really liked this book, it was an easy and fun read, kept me invested in the book, wanting to know what other shenanigans Esme and Keats find themselves in. I loved watching their relationship develop over time, slowly realizing their actual feelings. Their relationship didn’t feel rushed and felt natural as it progressed. I enjoyed the side characters and can’t wait to see which ones get books as well :)

Wasn’t impressed with all the “hatred” between Esme and Keats, even though they really didn’t hate each other and the banter from it was epic but I wish I knew more as to why they “despised” each other so much. So if you enjoy lots of banter, enemies to lovers, small town romance then check this one out.

Oh boy, what an absolute waste of time. I genuinely can’t wrap my head around how this book has such a high rating — it’s basically a 300-page description of nothing happening. Thankfully, it wasn’t too long, so my suffering was mercifully brief.

At first, I was actually excited about the whole enemies to lovers thing — who doesn’t love a bit of tension, right? But two chapters in, I realized their so-called “rivalry” was about as deep as a puddle after rain. It’s absurd, so forced, childish, and made me want to send both characters to a kindergarten timeout corner.

Still, I soldiered on, hoping for redemption. I’ll admit, the realization of feelings between Keats and Esme was somewhat engaging at first — but it went from “hmm, interesting” to “oh no, not this again” faster than you can say predictable cliché. By the halfway mark, I was just begging for something — a twist, a fight, a dramatic revelation — anything resembling a climax. Spoiler: it never showed up.

And because it’s part of a series, I foolishly thought, “Ah, the big moment must be coming at the end to hook me for book two.” What a joke. It ended with all the thrill of watching paint dry on a rainy day. The whole thing just… deflated like a sad balloon at the end of a dull party.

Nothing but endless childish arguments that made my eyes roll so hard I saw my brain. Nothing but cringe dirty talk that got old after the second copy-paste scene. And of course, the nonstop sex that made me think their relationship would collapse instantly if they ever took a break to, I don’t know, talk.

Not once did I feel worried, happy, sad, or literally anything for these characters. They could’ve both been abducted by aliens and I’d probably just shrug. I usually don’t bother writing reviews, but this book annoyed me so much that I had to warn the next poor soul: save yourself. Don’t do it.

Everyday when her mail ends up on his doorstep he knows another battle is about to ensue. He doesn't know exactly what it is about Esme that riles him up, she just has that effect on him. He doesn't hate the girl, he's just mildly annoyed with her and her mail... and also mildly attracted to her too! But he'll never admit that last fact!

Everything I Wanted is the story of two people who can't help but annoy one another every chance they get, every interaction they have ends with them both riled up and ready to pounce. It's like they bring it out in one another, but they also stir up something else too, a deep attraction that neither wants to admit exists. Then one day they snap and give into that attraction, thinking it can just be a no-strings arrangement they indulge in every once in a while. But soon every once in a while becomes a little more frequently when she is forced to move in with him because chaos ensues in her home. It's a complication neither were prepared for and are a little hesitant to carry on, but also a complication they are not ready to give up either!

I loved this spicy little literary romp, it was wickedly entertaining, steamy, loaded with funny bits! It was escape I didn't know I needed, once I met these two it was impossible to let them go, I had to make sure they work out all the kinks in their arrangement... and boy did they ever! If you like steamy enemies-to-lovers stories then I have no doubt you will love what the pages of Everything I Wanted hold, these two put on quite the little captivating show!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

An epic start to a new series by Ms. Lyon. Everything I Wanted is a enemies to lovers romance full of hilarious banter, so much sexual tension and angst that is fantastic. Ms. Lyon tells us the story of two people, who are neighbours, who have a love to hate relationship but secretly are attracted to one another. The fantastic banter will have you laughing so much that your face may hurt by the end of the book.
Keats is a sports lawyer who is sexy and grumpy and he gives the definition of grumpy new meaning. Then there is the neighbor from hell, as he puts it and he has to deal with her daily since, for some strange reason, her mail keeps being delivered to his house. Esme is the neighbour that everyone seems to like except Keats. She is a photographer and is sweet and carefree. The banter that goes back and for seems more like foreplay than hating one another. Could this hate really be infatuation that they are hiding from one another? The more they interact the more the sexual tension builds and just maybe they need to do something about it. When the enemies to lovers line is finally crossed, everything ignites into a five-alarm fire.n Keats steps up when Esme needs help and the forced proximity sees true feelings revealed and lives changed.
If this book is any indication of what the rest of the series will be like, it will be one where you will not be able to put the books down. I cannot wait to see what is in store for us with the rest of this series.

Evey Lyon's Everything I Wanted is a compelling exploration of love, loss, and the complexities of relationships, making it a noteworthy addition to contemporary romance.

The narrative centers around characters grappling with their pasts while navigating their present, which Lyon captures with emotional depth. The protagonist's journey is relatable, as they deal with personal challenges and the weight of unresolved feelings. Lyon's writing style is engaging, blending humor with poignant moments that resonate with readers. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, drawing you into their world and making you invested in their outcomes.

While the plot may follow some familiar tropes of romance, Lyon manages to infuse fresh perspectives and unexpected twists that keep the story intriguing. The pacing is well-balanced, allowing for both character development and plot progression without feeling rushed.

However, some readers may find certain elements predictable, which could detract from the overall impact for those seeking more originality. Nonetheless, Everything I Wanted successfully delivers an emotional rollercoaster that is both heartwarming and thought-provoking.

Overall, this book earns a solid 4-star rating for its engaging storytelling, relatable characters, and emotional depth, making it a recommended read for fans of contemporary romance.

✨Everything I Wanted✨
Everhope Road #1

By Evey Lyon

✨ Small Town Romance
✨ Enemies To Lovers
✨ Next-Door-Neighbors Romance

New Couple, new series, fantastic beginning

⭐5/5

I really enjoy a story with a bickering and bantering couple. And that really isn’t missing in this story. Next door neighbors Keats and Esme are an extraordinary pair. You can’t miss their incredible attraction while they fling their words at each other.
A female main character who can take as well as dish out. She is confident and stubborn as hell. But that is part of her charm.
Keats as a lawyer is a structured man who wants things mostly to go his way, but with Esme that is and will never happen. But their opposites, what brings them up the wall, is what pulls them toward each other.
When they finally admit their attractions and act on it it becomes more than it should. And when Esme has issues at her house and she moves in with Keats for a while, things become more complicated. Now both have to work out their issues and see where to go from here.
Really wonderful created storyline with amazing characters. And the next story knocks at our doors and is going to be an awesome one as well.

*Just about 4 stars*
It's not the first read by the author for me but I have to be honest and say I had some trouble getting into the story and don't really know why. It's a story of two enemies who become more over time and I truly enjoyed the banter between the two; that's what made it somehow confusing for me as to why I had some trouble getting into it as it has a decent story. It took me some time to connect and relate to the two lead characters and somewhere down the line I got into it. I found it a great read in the end; I would've liked a bit more epilogue in the end but that's just something personal. I'm excited though for the next one in this new series as I've been loving the author's writing.

Keats & Esme are neighbours but don't get along about anything and fight all the time which the other neighbours have a field day with. As time progresses, nothing really changes but one event seems to turn it around. One night starts a chain ball of events between them and their relationship starts to change. Esme starts to see Keats in a different light and sees that there is so much more than meets the eye. As they grow closer, the future slowly changes for them. Will they find their way in the end?...

Okay, so apparently I’ve been sleeping on Evey Lyon because Everything I Wanted just gave me everything I didn’t know I needed—and then some. This book is enemies-to-lovers lite (read: they’re just horny neighbors who argue for sport), but what it actually is? A smutty Hallmark movie that got drunk, lost its filter, and decided to dominate my TBR.

Keats and Esme? Electric. Their banter is pure entertainment—equal parts sass, shade, and sexual tension—and the chemistry is off the charts from page one. We’re talking bourbon being poured down necks, dirty talk that could melt steel, and jaw-grabbing, hair-yanking, “you belong to me while I’m fucking you” levels of heat. Yeah. That.

But it’s not just spice. Evey balances the filth with legit comedy (the nosy neighbor group chat deserves its own book), emotional depth (hi, surprise feelings and vulnerability), and just enough swoon to make me clutch my Kindle like a Victorian widow. And let’s not forget that Keats is a dominant lawyer with a soft spot for his baby nephew, which—sorry, Esme, but some of us were ready to marry him on sight.

I laughed. I blushed. I got steamrolled by feelings. 10/10 would move into this neighborhood and “accidentally” mix up my mail just to get a front row seat.

“I would like to remind you that you’re everything I wanted.”

This is for everyone who enjoys a good game of banter. Since Keats usually receives Esme's mail, the two neighbors appear to constantly entertain the street with their mail showdown. But beneath all the teasing lies attraction.

Esme, you truly did Keats a disservice with the pie. I also called it regarding the mail. I adore small towns because everyone is politely interested in each other's affairs. Their relationship was so obvious that the neighborhood watched and bet on them. It's adorable that a group has been formed to talk about the relationship and its current state.

They highlighted each other's sense of humor. An added benefit is that Keats is more relaxed and enjoys spending time with her. Since he works so hard, it's great that he needs to enjoy himself. Keats is a very considerate and calm gentleman when they resolve their disagreements. Not them making the rules and going about everything else together.

The relationships were healthy. Reading more about Hailey and Oliver excites me. I found this book to be easy and interesting to read.

Evey Lyon kicks off a new series with Everything I Wanted, a delicious enemies-to-lovers romcom! Esme and Keats were hilarious (I loved how he called her "his demon") with their mailbox arguments that led to hate-sex and then eventually so much more!

Workaholic lawyer Keats and free-spirited photographer Esme are as different as they come. They have different approaches to everything in life, and while that definitely causes many arguments between them at the start, it also helps them balance each other out. Their situationship changes when Esme's house catches on fire, Keats becomes her white knight riding to her rescue.

The Everhope Road series is in the Lake Spark world -- Keats is a lawyer for the Spinners, and is the brother of Summer (Should Have Been, Lake Spark Inn #3). I loved Summer's visit with her brother and how she kind of lit a spark under Keats and got him to realize that the woman he loved sparring with keeps him on his toes in a way that nobody else has before.

I am looking forward to more from this series, especially after that tease with Hailey and Oliver in the end!

Everything I Wanted, the first book in Evey Lyon’s new Everhope Road series, is exactly what you’d hope for in a five-star small-town romance. Ms Lyon kicks off the series with an unforgettable enemies-to-lovers story that is packed with sizzling chemistry, sharp banter, and plenty of heart.

Grumpy sports lawyer Keats and his fiery, frustrating (yet undeniably attractive) neighbor Esme are the perfect match for a romance that will have you laughing out loud one minute and fanning yourself the next. Their constant bickering over misdelivered packages quickly builds into some of the best tension I’ve read, with their banter absolutely off the charts. Underneath it all, the heat between them is undeniable, and when they finally give in to their attraction? The result is nothing short of scorching.

The emotional depth kicks in as their passionate fights evolve into something more. As Keats and Esme’s lives start to intertwine in unexpected ways, you’re in for a journey full of surprises, especially as their feelings complicate the life plans they each thought they wanted.

If this first book is any indication, Everhope Road promises to be a standout series. Whether you’re a fan of small-town romances or love a good enemies-to-lovers dynamic, Everything I Wanted is a perfect start.

I rcvd an ARC of this book. All thoughts are my own.

Dang, Keats and Esme are mean hahah Neighbors that hate each other is a new one for me - they couldn't really get away from each other. The mail carriers and delivery services constantly get their packages mixed up, which further keeps them at odds. But ya know, everyone sees what they don't - they are so hot for each other.

After being forced together in several different instances, their resistance snaps. But can they actually get it together and stop dancing around the inevitable? Steamy times lead to steamier times, and before you know it, they are hooking up. Keats and Esme's chemistry is off the charts.

The cast of characters around them were all fun to get to know! I, of course, enjoyed the familiar faces of Summer and Nash, but also the new faces that we will get to know over the next several books. Don't get me wrong I'm very sad to leave Lake Spark in the rearview, but Everhope Road might just be a worthy successor.

OK! Absolutely loved this! The MC were perfect, their banter the back and forth their relationship where they would just agrue you could feel their sexual tension! Everyone else but them was able to notice it too! Ugh loved it so good!! I love when you are able to feel their love and how their relationship was progressing!!

Esme and Keats are always arguing about their mail!!! Esmes always is going to Keats and they just go at it!! Literally it was perfect! The mystery night was awesome (I’d love to do one myself!) and then after 🫣🫠🫠, perfect amount of steam, dirty talk and spice.

And the epilogue 🤣🤣 it was so them! I enjoyed this book so much!

Keats is Esme's grumpy next-door neighbor. Every time Esme gets a package, it seems to end up on Keats' doorstep, and he is annoyed at having to take her packages over to her. Every time they meet on the way out, they throw barbs at each other. Evey makes you smile with some backward and forward humor between Keats and Esme. Even the neighbors in the street reckon they will end up together. They go to a family gathering, and they end up spending the night together. From then on, their relationship blossoms slowly, edging from enemies to friends and maybe lovers.
I received an arc for my voluntary honest review for the NN Book Blog. If you love an enemies-to-lovers romcom, you will love this book. Evey keeps you turning the pages with the antics between Keats and Esme while they try to hate each other, but you can tell they really like each other. I loved this book, and I can't wait to read the other books in the series.

My first book by @eveylyonbooks and it was great!!
This book released on 10/25.

The back and forth between the two main characters is great and it adds and makes their story so much better. When neighbors collide and can stand each other it onlu means one thing….who likes who. But when its both that like the other, whos going to admit it first? When he asks her to an event for his job all bets are off when he introduces her as his girlfriend. Their back and forth keeps going once they leave the party and their walls are down, they end their night the only way they can figure out how…with some hotsex in his front doorway. From there their passion grows and when she unexpectedly needs a place to stay he wouldnt have have her stay anywhere else other than with him. Their bond grows, they figure out they are made for each other even though it was hard for either to say it. I highly recommend this book and this author and cant wait to pick up another book by her!

How I love small town romances. Right now, this is my favourite troupe.

I am lucky to have a space on Evey Lyon’s arc team and although I’ve read pretty much most of her boo this was my first as part of the team.

Keats and Esme are neighbours, an enemies to lovers troupe on the way with all the shouting and annoyance they do to each other.

Esme a strong willed photographer, specialising in boudoir and engagement photos, having moved into a house left to her in a will, she finds that Keats, the Spinners team Lawyer next door is non to pleased when her parcels and main keep ending up at his house instead of hers.

I loved watching these two fight, not only between each other, but with themselves, and their underlying want for each other.

But a tragic happening one afternoon helps move the whole relationship along and they realise they were everything they wanted.

Having read the ending, I can not wait for the next installment in this series.

Another love for me by this author!
ALL👏🏼OF👏🏼THE👏🏼BANTER 🙌🏼 and the way that the whole street gets a front row show 😂The neighbors of Everhope Road are constantly entertained with Keats and Esme. There was so much tension and made me laugh that the small town had bets on them.
These two could find something to argue about on everything. Even the small things, like mail. Keats needs order and routine. And Esme is sassy, doesn't know what the deal is with her neighbor, but isn't one to back down from any challenge.
Once the forced proximity kicks in Esme sees Keats in a different light. The more she gets to know the real him, she craves getting to know him even more. Honestly she was the perfect one for him. Showing him how much more fun his controlled life could be.
I'm so glad that I stumbled upon Evey Lyon and her small towns this year. Never fail to make me laugh and I love every book I've read so far. The characters just have a way of sucking you in and putting you in a chokehold.

So much fun! I have read other novel by this author and really enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. I love small town settings and I love a good enemies to lovers theme especially if they are neighbors. This novel just checked so many boxes for me. From the first couple chapters this novel pulled me in and held on tight. I loved Keats and Esme novel. So good! They literally could find something to argue about even if it was the mail. The dialogue and banter was laugh out loud funny at times. Their chemistry was so good! I loved watching the two of them work thru their stuff and lower their defenses and fall in love. So good! Once I started reading I had a hard time putting this novel down. I needed to know what was happening next. So much fun! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next.

Esme and Keats are neighbours who have a disliking each other relationship, but as you read this book, you will soon find that these initial impressions may be hiding their true feelings.

Keats is a lawyer who used banter to hide his true feelings for Esme, especially when he needs to return her package to her. Keats is also a caring person, especially when something happens and Esme needs help.

Esme is a photographer whose mail keeps getting sent her grumpy neighbour. She is such a determined character who loves to stand up for herself, and as she spends more time with Keats, she sees a different side of him.

I loved the development of their relationship from the banter to the sexy moments and when they discovered that their arguments may be hiding their true feelings for each other.

Thank you for the ARC.

This is the first book in the new series, and somehow, there is still a link to Lake Spark.
Keats and Esme are neighbors, but they don’t have the best understanding as there are many problems with the deliveries of packages. Most of Esme’s packages end up with Keats and this turns into frustration. And all that anger leads to a wild escapade.
I loved how Keats and Esme had their arguments, which only was just a build up ready to explode in a good way. They are each other’s match in every way.
Throughout the book, I learned that Keats wasn’t one to settle down, but his disappointment after being away for the week, I could really feel it. I wanted to hug him and tell him everything would be fine. It was the point for him when he knew and it was so beautiful.
Next is Hailey and Oliver and I can’t wait to see how things will turn out for them.

Keats is a man who thrives on order and routine which is why he finds his neighbor so infuriating especially when he seems to receive her mail on a regular basis. With every interaction between them the sparks of animosity ignite but it is when they evolve into sparks of a different kind that the complications begin.

Esme isn’t sure why the relationship between her and Keats is so hostile, but she isn’t the type of person to back down from anyone and that includes him. When circumstances unfold that force them to spend time together, she realizes that the more she gets to know him the more she wants to know.

Esme’s sassy personality is the perfect match for Keats all work no play side as she shows him how much more fun life could be. The banter between them is humorous and the romance between them endearing as we see how swoony Keats can be.

I loved this grumpy and spicy romance! The banter in this book was amazing!

Esme and Keats are neighbors who constantly get on each other’s nerves. Keats always has her mail show up and they have so much flirty banter and mixed up feelings. You’ll have to read to find out what happens next after they become friends with benefits 💓

The enemies to lovers and the mixed up mail were a few of my favorite elements in Everything I Wanted. I also was really enjoying all the nosey neighbors!

Keats was a grumpy lawyer until he finally realizes his feelings. He really made me happy the way he helped Esme! He became way more relaxed with Esme in his life.

Esme was a carefree lawyer. The neighbor that everyone liked. She always baked pies for everyone except for Keats. 🤣

Overall, this was a quick, small town romance that I think anyone could read!

Oh my gosh I absolutely loved Keats and Esme! Right from the first chapter I was drawn into the story (as I always am with Evey’s writing!). Their enemies to lovers banter was perfection. The sexual tension? There right from the start and it just gets better and better.

I really loved Keats when we met him in his sister’s book (Should Have Been)and Esme was the perfect FMC in my opinion. She was sweet, strong and so sassy! I absolutely loved how she gave Keats attitude right back to him. Keats steps in (and steps up)when Esme needs help and their relationship changes into more lovers than enemies (but the banter continues!)

I’m so excited for this new series!

Thank you to Evey Lyon and Wordsmith Publicity for the ARC of this book

Everything I Wanted by Evey Lyon

What a start to a new series. Enemies to lovers, small town, grumpy Sunshine, he falls first! Yes!!

Keats & Esme bring the tension in this one! And it all starts with the mail! I really enjoyed this one. The love to hate. The attraction. The push and pull!!! The banter is amazing!

Esme a photographer who is strong willed, sassy loved by the town, minus her grumpy neighbor. Keats is used to being in control, and having everything in order. He is a lawyer after all. And still a little bitter he didn't get a pie! These two are perfect for each other. I loved watching them navigate their feelings and attractions, crossing the enemy line so to speak and growing while also falling in the Love. Solid start to a new series. Can not wait for more! Evey is quickly becoming one of my favs!
