This was a different type of short story. Although I did like the general idea of the story it was a bit repetitive at times because it was told from different points of view. Jack, Lester and Andrew escape from jail with Andrew's special abilities and end up at the house of Derek and Carrie Lecher. The couple has a few problems of their own before the intrusion. The story has a unique story line which makes it an intriguing read. I like this author and have read other books which I did like better but feel this story is one readers will enjoy.

Interesting concept. A little confusing as it jumped back and forth from person to person, and timeline to timeline. Overall not too bad, though.

Unique story with lots of emotional, physical and psychic action.
This short story had some textual flaws that need to be edited, but Adam is on his mark and surely has a gift for the horror genre.
I hope to read more and see even greater works to come.
Great! Surprise ending

Didn't enjoy

No character development, random activity, odd use of flashback, 4 minutes earlier, flashbacks etc. Clear writing style. Rollercoaster ride without rails.

The story starts off with married couple Carrie and Derek arguing and reaching the breaking point in their marriage. But they soon find that's the least of their problems when a group of escaped prisoners invade their home. What follows is a suspenseful, supernatural story.

Jack is the leader of the prisoners, he has telepathy which helps him get what he wants and keep his sidekicks Lester and Andrew in line. Jack's telepathy plays a central role throughout the story and towards the end of the story where he plays hero.

While this was a good supernatural story, at times it got confusing when it kept jumping from the different point of views of the characters. Another thing that I had trouble with was the excessive cussing in the story, I don't mind a little cussing, but just about every page consisted of the F-word and to me that was too much.
