Trixie Beaumont, an English girl who owns a small yoga studio in Venice, California, falls in love with Alexander Silverston, a former Olympic ski champion and successful entrepreneur. Alex appears to be falling for her, too.
How utterly charming...
Well, if it wasn't for the following difficulties:
1. Trixie is not called Trixie, but Laetitia.
2. Alex does not know that.
3. Laetitia owns seven billion dollars.
4. Alex does not know that.
5. Laetitia owns a large part of Alex's sportswear company.
6. Alex does not know that.
7. Neither does Laetitia.
8. Laetitia finds out.
9. Laetitia also finds out that she is guilty of ruining his company's debut at the stock exchange.
10. Alex is---
Wait. Why don't you just read the book and find out?
"Green Tea Won't Help You Now!" is a stand-alone novel.
But those of you who read Dasha G. Logan's debut, "Billionaire on Board", will be reunited with some beloved characters.
SIZZLE FACTOR: Slightly saucy chick lit (no ten page long in-and-outs, fireworks or chain-climacting pregnant virgins. I would not call it clean, but it's not dirty either.)
LANGUAGE: Characters tend to be outspoken! Nothing truly disgusting, but expect the occasional four letter word and the rare mentioning of body fluids.
This book is written in British English, spelling and grammar may vary from American English.
This is the second book by Dasha G Logan I have read and I know it will not be the last.. she has become one of my Favourite authors.. I loved this book ...I loved Laetitia now she had become Trixie.. as an English Gal I loved her English euphamisms I laughed out loud many times..As for Alex oh my who would not want a Norse God who looked like him in their life... and I was so happy for once Trixie did not want to jump his bones.. but take what they had slowly and Date and do all the things other people do.. I am sorry but once he found out about Trixie and her life and her back ground I wanted to kick him in the butt... I cried like a baby along with Trixie when he said "do not touch me" I shouted out loud NOOOOO... If you want to know what happens you have to read this book.. I know you will love it as much as I did... Dasha G Logan YOU ROCK !!!!
Another corker of a book by this writer. This is the story of Trixie, who we met in Billionaire on Board. The writing style is a sweet quirky style, and is done as if the character is sat next to you having a natter.
As we saw in BOB Trixie has had some troubles, namely drug abuse, along with a complete wanker of an ex, so it was wonderful to see her turn her life around and pull it all together. Despite this 'heaviness', it is a light, feel good, holiday read.
It does deserve 5 stars, but there were a number of typos and a characters name was incorrect in a couple of places.
I got this as a kindle freebie, but I would willingly have paid for it.
I love this story, go and read it right now if you need a laugh after a hard day. Contemporary story with a super rich young lady and a sporty guy, set in Venice, California but they get some traveling in before the end. Trixie Beaumont is an English girl who owns a small yoga studio when she meets and then falls in love with Alexander Silverston, a former Olympic ski champion and successful business man. Everything sounds like it would work out easy, except Trixie has a few secrets that might scare away a more macho guy. Don't want to spoil anyone with all the twisty twists in this story, but people shouldn't underestimate people that choose a simple lifestyle. This is a funny book you will laugh very loud in public so you should read this at home. Just as great as the first book with some cameos, Billionaire on Board but this is a stand alone story so you don't have to read the first one, but why wouldn't you?! This is a good read! 222 pages and kindle freebie 5 stars
I was looking for this since I loved Billionaire on Board. This time the setting was very different but again, I felt like going on a trip into the wide world. Great scenery and a lot of fun. I loved seeing the characters from BoB again and to see how time treated them.
This is a quirky little tale when boy meets girl, girl is very, very wealthy, and so pretends to be someone else, they have a big fall out and then make up.
There were some grammatical errors which annoyed, so, 3 stars for this.
I liked very much this novel, I had fun reading. I appreciated like the author tells of people , normal people, rich people , without judgment or stereotype, no Cinderella here. Also like behind the comedy lines there so much sad reality.
