A chance encounter seals the fate of a reclusive farmer and a mysterious woman who's on the run from a man who will stop at nothing to control her--including murder.

Ray Chavez doesn’t believe in visions or omens or the mysticism of his Mexican/Indian heritage. When he’s awakened by the spirit of this great-grandmother with a message that something is coming, Ray passes it off as a bad dream. But he may just reconsider his position when he finds Lexie Solis stranded on the edge of town, in search of a new life. Ray feels an instant attraction, as well as a connection, to the skittish young woman, and he pursues a relationship with her. But what Lexie doesn’t tell Ray or his family, is that she is on the run from an abusive ex-boyfriend and he may be more powerful than even she wants to believe. When Lexie is assaulted by an unseen force, they learn that the man she is hiding from is a master of the dark arts and his obsession with Lexie goes beyond his need to control her; he wants to possess her soul as well. As their past lives parallel, Lexie’s only hope for salvation is in Ray’s hands.

Can he accept his destiny in time to save the woman he loves?

A mix of Mexican and Honduran, Terri grew up in a small Texas town, whose claim to fame is it's the hometown of Janis Joplin. She is the fifth child of six brothers and sisters.

She began reading and writing at an early age to fill a void, her love of books inherited from her mother. At the age of twelve she penned her first book, a short story titled The Day the Earth Exploded. After graduating high school she lived the life of a pseudo nomad, living in various parts of the U.S. only to return to Texas. Because... there's no place like family.

Terri always knew she wanted to write, but she was determined to learn her craft before she committed words to a page. She took several online courses and read stacks of novels as training before writing her first real book. She has since published three novels and a novella and her work has been compared to Nora Roberts and Catherine Coulter...an honor she humbly accepts.

She currently resides in southeast Arizona with her husband (and love of a lifetime), four children and two very misbehaving dogs.

Review:

"Dark Obession" by Terri Molina was a suspenseful thriller paranormal romance that once you started reading, it was hard to put down until the end. This authors style of writing was very good keeping you in touch with just what was going on even with the ghost magic imagery. The two main characters Lexie Solis and Ray Chavez will take the reader on a roller coaster ride...yes sometimes even creepy...and let me mention a few other characters that were simply off the chart good...really drawing you into the read...Sylvia..who had very good 'protective qualities'(I really love her)...and black magic with Jerry..the bad guy. Now, I know you are wondering where is this taking the reader...Well, this is where I say you must pick up this well written novel "Dark Obession" to find out what this is all about. You will definitely see it is one of those story of good vs evil. OK, here is a little bite..Lexie who is on the run for her life, is rescued by Ray and his sister. With all that Lexie has been through she finds it hard to trust and definitely love wasn't in the picture..but after some defenses are let down with the help of Ray...will they be able to defeat the black magic (Jerry)?..Will they finally find love?....I will leave that up to you to find out from the read.

If you are in for a good paranormal romance read you have come to the right place for "Dark Obession" will give it to you and YES, I would recommend this novel as a good read.

I have to admit that this is a time when I feel like I need more than 5 stars. I was hooked from the very first page.

Lexie Solis is trying to build a new life for herself, but how can she run when she literally has nowhere she can hide from her ex-boyfriend and his tendency to delve in to dark magic?

Ray Chavez has his own ghosts in his past…and one of them quite literally speaks to him. He isn’t ready to try to plunge into a relationship with the skittish Lexie, but the tension between them can’t be denied, and Ray’s sister (who is a character I really adored in the story) takes every opportunity to point that out.

Just the right kind of creepy…mixed with chemistry between Lexie and Ray that leaps off the page….Dark Obsession had me on the edge of my seat from beginning till end.

Author Teri Molina packs a lot in her novel, Dark Obsession. This paranormal made the hair on the back of my neck stand up at times. It was that good…and that creepy. The supernatural elements dragged me and wouldn’t let me stop reading until I finished this novel. I couldn’t put it down until I found out how it ended.

On the run, Alejandra (Lexie) Solis, is rescued by Ramon (Ray) Chavez and his sister, Sylvia. Pursued by pure evil, Lexie is reluctant to trust, much less love, Ray. But with his quiet, steady friendship and protective qualities, Ray breaks through Lexie’s defenses. Together, they defeat the black magic aimed their direction … and find love along the way.

I just finished reading Dark Obsession by Terri Molina, and I really enjoyed it.
Her characters draw you in immediately, and even though it is a paranormal, the normal, is so believable that the inclusion of magic does not stretch the imagination. Even the Jerry, the bad guy, while practicing black magic, still shows a completely, though creepy, normal side(as normal as an obsessive, stalker can be!).
Lexie is young, and the story of her coming into her own anchors the story nicely. Ray is a great hero; not perfect, but willing to grow, and Sylvia is a sister anyone would want.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes romantic suspense with paranormal elements.

This book is one that you can't put down- from the first page it draws you in and holds your interest. The characters are well drawn. You can easily understand the fear that Lexie is fighting. The theme of good vs evil is so well written that I had to make myself put the book down and go to bed!
