The thrill of my job never quite ignited in me like it did for my best friend. It was all routine, day in and day out until fate intervened with a catastrophic accident that flipped my world upside down.
I took a leap of faith, leaving behind everything familiar for a remote island. There, amidst the stunning landscapes and vibrant culture, I met the most intoxicating man I'd ever laid eyes on.
I couldn’t help but wonder if this would lead to happiness or heartache. I questioned whether I was discovering the true depths of my desires or merely chasing a dream. Would island life become my sanctuary, or would it challenge everything I thought I knew about life and love?
The first 50 pages of this book were okay, but then it just fell off. I understand going through something traumatic and wanting to go find yourself, I’ll forgive that. I don’t forgive you looking at this guy who doesn’t speak 5 words to you, then claiming you’re in love.
I also have a problem with how many useless details were in this book. We get 20 pages detailing her flight top to bottom or what exactly she’s eating for breakfast, but there was no character development or plot really.
Spoiler: in what world would you continue to be interested in a guy that says “who cares about your dog, it’s just a pet” when he’s trying to convince you to stay on this remote island?
I absolutely hated this book and if I could give it negative stats I would.
This is a great book! It’s an easy read with a bunch of parts that kept me on the edge of my seat… I needed to know what happened next. I highly recommend this tropical island romance!
Cute love story/finding oneself story. I liked that they were helping the coral reefs. The relationship between Leo and Pearl was very cute! The spice was a little juvenile & the story had a lot of repeated phrases. But overall, it was a fun read!
