Danny is a highly sought after drummer studying at the Rockley Park Talent School for aspiring young pop stars, but another talented drummer named Charlie envies Danny's success, and tension between the two soon starts to grow.
Characters keep making dumb and unrealistic decisions. The writing is also driving me nuts.
". . . Danny realized he'd forgotten his drumming gloves. 'I must get them', he told Marmalade, who was warming up. 'Otherwise I'm bound to get blisters.'"
No teenager talks like this unless they're imitating a Regency period drama, and Danny is most definitely not doing THAT.
Why do I keep reading these books? 'Cause they help me sleep. . .
