Bonnie J. Cardone is the author of the Cinnamon Greene Adventure Mysteries. The first three books in the series, The Bride Wore Black, Murder Dives the Bahamas and Murder Dives the Caribbean are available in the Kindle Store and as paperbacks from Amazon.com.
The series characters appear in a short story in the the SinC/LA anthology, Last Exit to Murder and in two short stories published in the e-zine, KingsRiverLife.
3.5 stars. Some of the articles weren't very well written, and I really wish the book had color pictures. The grainy black and white pictures did not do much to enhance anything.
On the good side, there were several fascinating articles about more than just recreational diving. The article on the rescue and salvage of the submarine Squalus in 1939 was particularly gripping. I also liked the stories about diving in Devil's Hole in Death Valley (didn't know you could dive in a desert), the shipwreck of a diving boat in Batangas, and a repair job in a mine shaft flooded with water contaminated with asbestos.
