Imagine being taught from a young age how to execute the perfect heist without even being present for the heist. Wilde, had a brain like no other. I mean she was able to plan and pull off the best heists. She lost her dad and her mother was incarcerated because of someone else greed. Raised by Eugene, she graduated college but found herself following in the life she grew up seeing.

Insert Cyrus dirty peen, psycho, unhinged in the worst way, evil self. Now mind you, he didn’t start out that way but he stopped following the steps him and Wilde set up to help him stay track and everything went shot to shyt. Cyrus may have started out as a good boyfriend and then his true colors came to light. So for me it was phuck him. Wilde is pulling off heists with both Cyrus and her BF Lia (inserts eye roll) I guess you can say they a team or whatever.

Well they complete a heist and while trying to off load it Wilde starts to notice the changes in Cyrus and all hell breaks loose. Cyrus is having sneaky meetings with Lia. Wilde says she wants out and the next heist has to be the best and biggest heist and instead Lia and Cyrus are trying to sabotage it. Hmph! Well things backfire on Cyrus and he decides Wilde’s last heist is to rob Ace of Diamonds all because he got pissed for being checked about his last heist (shrugs).

Wilde agrees and low and below the owner of Ace of Diamonds is the handsome man she met briefly the night her and Lia spent in Crescent Falls. Except Asa wants Wilde and is determined to have her. Let’s just say nothing goes according to plan. Everything hits the fan, secrets come to light, people get hurt, bonds are built, and baby them muthafawkin tables TURN.

Morgan wrote tf outta Betting on Wilde Aces and I was here for it all. From beginning to end the story captures you and has you on the edge trying to see what’s going to happen. It’s going to piss you off, have you confused, and fighting air BUT you will love it. Thank you for another great read Miss Rose.

I'm on a lucky streak today because, baby, the authors are coming *with it* for real! I'm new to the "robbing folks blind" but securing the fine rich black man storyline, but I LOVE IT HERE. My first taste of it was in *Diamond Boy* by another author, and this one feels like a cousin to that novel. This story was well-written and enjoyable from start to finish.

Now I kind of want to take my star back because I find it hard to believe Wilde was robbing people blind yet never ever using a gun or having a real contingency plan in place. Like I’m sorry when you doing dirt you need to be proactive about your safety be it one of your Licks or the people on your team, protection and self defense is a must. Also I know she wanted to remember her dad a certain way but baby call a spade a spade. You are a THIEF, a Crook, a CRIMINAL MASTERMIND lmao I don’t care how detailed you are that’s not art that stealing miss mamas lol. Once you found out Mr. Cyrus was on those meds, you needed to get away from him! And I HATED that Eugene brought out that shotgun after his speech about protecting Wilde. Like, sir, there’s no time for chit-chat—GET TO BLASTING as soon as he walks through the door!

Additionally, we needed more buildup to the love triangle/affair plot because that felt tossed in for some razzle-dazzle with minimal sense. I get that Cyrus was mentally unwell, but Lia just seemed clueless, and I can't see how they could cross the big brains of their entire operation. Cus let’s be for real without Wilde both y'all would be doing petty crimes fighting for scraps to eat.

Loved me some Asa—that’s a five-star book bae right there! I do think he wasn’t as vocal as he should’ve been about his friend’s infidelity. I understand that someone else’s marriage isn’t your business, but if he’s crying in every chapter about his wife, you need to call your homie out! I really appreciated that Asa had the sense to be disappointed in Wilde’s money-hungry dad, because miss girl has him on a pedestal when he deserved to be resting right in the pits of hell.

I'm truly looking forward to the follow-up stories and really hope Ms. Priscilla gets her groove back because she deserves it. While I’m sure we’ll get Oakley's story next, I didn’t connect with her as much. I wish the author would’ve given us a bit more to work with, because she was well-received by me, but I needed more depth to be eager for a whole book about her.

Wilde grew up in a family who was always looking for the next big heist. Her parents, and uncle were out there killing it, robbing people blind. Her father taught her everything he knew about the "business", and she became the mastermind making all of their heists successful, as long as they followed the plan. However, when her uncle got greedy everything went to hell. Now living with her grandfather Eugene, he tries to unteach her all the criminal behavior that is not a part of her.

Wilde meets Cyrus who loves her brilliant mind and wants in to learn her hustle. All is well until Cyrus wants to change things up, and his crazy, unhinged behavior begins to show. Wilde is all about planning and executing the perfect heist. Let her know everything in the beginning, no changes, and follow the plan to the letter. Wilde and Cyrus partnered up with Lia, Wilde's friend, sorta, but her envy started peeking out, and their last heist went to ish. Wilde is done and decides one more huge heist and she is out. She is looking at Lia sideways, as she and Cyrus are having secret meetings, but all she can think of is how to get away from him! When she announces she is done, that damn Cyrus just went straight psycho on her ass and put her in an impossible situation.

Enter Asa Charles, jewelry store owner, who is all about his business and makes time for nothing else. However, when he lays eyes on Wilde, all logic goes out the window. He knows in her spirit she is his. She gives him the cold shoulder, although she is feeling him, due to the ish she has going on with Cyrus. When Wilde finds out the location of the next heist Cyrus suggests, she loses her mind and panics, as she knows who the owner is. She has gotten close to Asa, and in a perfect world she is who she would be with, but the world ain't perfect!

When Asa learns of the devious plans that Wilde and her crew had for his store he is pissed, but he still wants her. So, what does this crazy man do, help her create the perfect setup to trap Cyrus. 🤯What a man, what a man!! 🤩 This read was so good. There were times I was on the edge of my seat wondering what Cyrus would do, and how Wilde would escape his crazy. Loved every minute of it. 👍🏾👍🏾

Wilde Aces

I enjoyed the build up of this story. It definitely kept me engaged and wondering what Wilde would do to get away and how Asa would fit. I could tell he was enamored with her and I was waiting to see how she’d finesse dumb and dumber before getting her man. However, once things really hit the fan I realized that Wilde wasn’t necessarily a “tough” girl criminal—she was more of the brain. That’s not really a bad thing, but I wish she would have stood up for herself more. That aside, I enjoyed the book and may reread it again in a few months.

Jahquel J brought me here and it wasn’t a disappointing read! Wilde Rivers is a professional kleptomaniac who has been a mastermind since she was like 13.

After her parents get tragically taken away from her, she eventually wants out of the game she knows so well but some snakes on her team won’t let her….. and then she accidentally falls in love with her biggest mark, Asa.

Thoughts:

Cyrus should’ve been unalived 🤷🏾‍♀️ jail was too generous

I wanted Wilde to fight back physically with him a bit harder 😭 like girl!

Lia…. Got what she deserved smh. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I thought it was interesting that we got Cyrus’s POV but not Lia’s. But 3 POV’s in a story is enough lbs.

Overall, I give this a 4/5 stars. I definitely want to explore more of the author’s catalog.

🎶Hey I heard you are a wild one……Oooh
If I took you home it'd be a home run. Show me how you do. I wanna shut down the club, with you……Hey I heard you like the wild ones🎶

Wilde Rivers has been the brains behind the criminal activities that have made her family millions from a very young age. Whether it’s hitting a lick on an unsuspecting John, a bank robbery or a jewelry store heist, she is the mastermind at the forefront of each jobs success. Despite the demise of her parents, Wilde is confident that if it can be stolen, she gets the job done.

After years of stealing cash, diamonds and rare artifacts, Wilde is finally ready to retire from her life of crime. At the young age of 25, she knows that if she continues down her current path, death or prison are sure to meet her on the other side of things.

As she plans for her biggest heist yet, she had no idea that anything that could fk up the plans has and now she’s not sure if she can pull things off without jeopardizing the safety and well being of those that mean the most to her. With nowhere to turn, she puts her trust in the one person that she’s been avoiding at all costs and now it’s time to bet it all on Ace!

🖤It was Ace and that pressure he put behind making Wilde his for me! We stan an intentional man!!
💎It was Moolah for me 🐶🤎
💰It was Ace believing in Wilde when she didn’t believe in herself for me! 👛👝👜
💵It was Ace and Wilde at the auction for me! If work smarter not harder was a person.

For Wilde to have been as intelligent as she was, sis didn’t have common sense at times. I didn’t understand how she allowed Cyrus to manipulate her in certain situations. The way I would’ve had the crazy pills crushed up in some spaghetti sauce fkn around with me! 😒

I don’t know what would possess Wilde to go into a partnership with Lia and Cyrus to begin with. She should’ve known you don’t team up with people that don’t have anything to loose. As smart as she was, her age and the naïveté attached to it showed at times.

Outside of a few foolish mishaps, I enjoyed this book a lot. It flowed well, kept me entertained and answered all of my questions. Until next time ✌🏽

Now this one was a ride and I mean that in every sense of the word. The stakes were high, the danger was real and the chemistry was off the charts. Wilde Rivers was all brains and beauty smart, strategic and bold enough to walk the line between chaos and control. But when Asa Charles became the job, everything changed. One look, one touch and suddenly the plan didn’t matter anymore. She had to find a way to stop the heist.

Let’s talk about the crew because whew they were a mess. Cyrus Sir, take your meds! The way everyone just "accepted" his behavior instead of slipping him that bipolar medicine had me yelling at the pages. Stop wondering if he's off his meds clearly he is and how about fight back!!!! Lia… let’s call it what it is: she was never a real friend. The shady energy was there from the beginning. Wilde needed to give her the same energy she gave Oakley a firm, no-nonsense check that said don’t play with me. Plus belt to ass when she caught them fawking no words just fist.

Asa thought the man was locked in from the moment he saw Wilde. Even after finding out he was the lick, that anger didn’t stand a chance against how bad he wanted her. Their chemistry was undeniable, explosive even and you could feel the tension in every interaction.

This book had it all love, betrayal, danger and passion wrapped up in a thrilling ride that kept me flipping the pages. Morgan Rose gave us a story full of grit, heat and wild decisions that make you yell “no way!” one minute and “I get it though…” the next.

Oh can't forget this gem “Whether it’s diamonds, gold, or cash, there’s too much money in this world to ever be broke. But no matter what, take it all.”

Two Of A Kind!!

Wilde's daddy prepped her for this life. Her mama wanted her to have a normal life. Then she met Cyrus and looking back, she should have left him where she found him because the two years they were together it was all love. She didn't sign up for the abuse. Lia claim that she was her friend, she should have left her boosting. She carried them both. Ace saw Wilde and was fascinated with her. He applied pressure, he didn't care if she had a man or not. Lia with her hating a** had to open her mouth and tell Cyrus that Ace was flirting with her. And that next robbery. That's how Ace got started , that how he funding his business. She got tired of the abuse and told Ace everything .So they came up plan to set up Cyrus and Lia and to keep her out of it. Cyrus got some charges. She is happy, free and pregnant. Her grandfather is free and so is her mama.

Betting on Wilde Aces

I really enjoyed this story from beginning to end. I initially read Asa’s sister’s story first and was intrigued by Asa and Wilde and knew I had to go back and read their story. This story had me feeling like I was reading scenes from the Oceans casino heist movies. There were a lot of moving parts in this story between Wilde and Cyrus and Lia to Wilde and Asa getting together and falling in love.

This story gave violence, deception, struggles with mental illness, manipulation and domestic violence and love all in one story. After reading how Asa and Wilde came to be, I wasn’t sure how they would get past that and Asa begin to trust her, but they were able to do so and fell in love in the end.

Aces Wilde ♠️

This was an amazing read. Took me a few days to finish because I’m battling the flu so I was in and out. I loved how Wilde came clean before ish really hit the fan. Asa was smitten with her so I knew he would protect her and I’m so glad he did. Whew that man that man that man 🤌🏾😍

Cyrus was crazy as hell and I wish Wilde would’ve stood up to his ass but I understand dealing with a mf that ain’t in their right mind would’ve had me a bit fearful too. Lia needed her ass beat fr.

If you’re wondering about this book do yourself a favor and read it, you will not be disappointed 🔥📚🖊️👏🏾

A Movie!

Betting on Wilde Aces is my introduction to Morgan Rose and I’m sad we didn’t meet sooner because I LOVE a high stakes heist and these characters, and the plot were well written and entertaining. I love that the FMC, Wilde Rivers, is a morally grey, career criminal, and the mastermind behind the big money schemes. The underhanded characters, underestimated target, and intoxicating chemistry between Wilde Rivers and Asa Charles make for a sexy, urban, crime thriller that I’d love to see on the big screen.

I love me a strong minded FMC

Wilde was exactly who she thought she was. The mastermind behind the heist to end her family because of greed and jealousy only to experience that for herself. Why have enemies when you have people like Cyrus and Lia stuck to you. If it wasn’t for her they wouldn’t be eating as good as they was. Asa aka Ace was a monkey wrench in their plans also a retired thief but man they both played Cyrus like a bum he was. Got this book during BRAE and a new to me author.

What a ride…

This was a wild ride. Wilde, used the hand she was dealt from a young age to get what she wanted. Dead weight can definitely hold you down and that is what Cyrus and Lia did/ try to succeed in doing to Wilde. Cyrus and Lia are two outta pocket individuals. Cyrus… a waste of space!! Asa, what a man, what a man. He became Wilde’s protector and what a protector he was. This gave thrill and romance! I read this in one sitting, couldn’t put it down!

Wild!!!

So many thoughts however I will say Wilde was not my favorite person because even though she was the brains she wasn't that bright. However Asa saves the day and brings everything to an end. I think a follow up would be nice because there were still some unfinished pieces but good read.
