⤿first off…this is my first arc so i was so excited to read this 🥹 su-ae…my heart is in pain when i think about her 💔 her bf is so trashy, he can’t get any worse (or can he?) all i hope for is that eunhyeok (the ml) is the greenest forest in the world and can save her from this terrible love story and life 💚…also, the art is GORGEOUS 💗 the art style is so pretty, kudos to the artists! this ended on a cliffhanger, and i’m debating on whether i should continue reading on the webtoon app or wait till the second volume hmm 😔 all in all, i really enjoyed this even though it lwk ragebaited me and i can’t wait for the second volume!! 🤍 TY AGAIN TO NETGALLEY, WEBTOON, AND THE ARTISTS/AUTHORS!!

Right, I think I’m gonna stop reading this now after the most recent chapter. You think you’ve been properly ragebaited before? You haven’t. this manhwa started off AMAZINGLY, but it seriously should’ve ended in season 1 or early season 2 because all it’s been doing thus far is deteriorate every time a new chapter drops. For a manhwa with such a cliche plot (not that that’s bad), it finds ways to rage bait you in ways that should be criminal. I seriously need to print out cardboard cut outs of all the main characters and just beat the hell out of them. I’ve completely lost my enjoyment in reading this, because how do you manage to asssasinate a plot SO BAD. I KNOW that the author is just trying to satisfy Dohwa stans after depriving them of soohwa content for so long, which I can respect, but it also veers the story so sharply off it’s already deranged road that I can’t possibly envision an ending for this manhwa. It’s truly amazing, how they managed to make such a predictable plot THIS complicated. there was an interesting, mysterious storyline, but it was neglected to turn this into some sort of deranged love triangle with unnecessary angst and fan service to keep readers engaged. honestly, I MIGHT end up coming back to this if eunhyuk explains himself, but my patience has run out for now. sooae, I love u girl. Raim, KYS (…keep yourself safe). dohwa, go away man (I don’t hate you). eunhyuk, fly away and don’t come back (it’s for your own good brotha). So, I guess I’m NOT taking otl into 2026 (unless something MIRACULOUS happens next chapter) #newyearnewme #freenow

Did I request this on NetGalley because the man in the cover is FINEEEE!!! Yes. Yes I did.
Was it worth it? YESSSSSS.
Truly one of the most bingeable webtoons I've read in a hot minute. My poor girl Su-ae is going through it. An underappreciated, awkward, high school student who clearly wants to feel loved and appreciated like the main heroines from the books she reads (felt) and yet...she is putting up with her terrible boyfriend. And what does this man do? Goes around AND CHEATS ON HER?? (MINU WHEN I CATCH YOU). Luckily, we also get to see the progression of a new, angsty relationship with the cover man himself, Eunkyeok. Their dynamic already seems so much more authentic, and you can already sense some tension (and I ate it UP). Truly the perfect Webtoon for those who love romance, angst, drama, and (hopefully) revenge.
Since it was only Vol.1 there was a bit of an abrupt ending but I'm so excited to see how the story progresses!! ESPECIALLY the jellyphone aspect??? I must know who is behind it!

First, I’d like to thank NetGalley for providing me with an ARC.
I went into this graphic novel genuinely excited, especially knowing it originated from Webtoon. The premise had a lot of potential; the idea of the mysterious phone added an interesting, almost supernatural twist that could have elevated the story. Unfortunately, my experience was ultimately disappointing.
My main issue lies with the female main character. I found her difficult to connect with due to how passive and, at times, frustratingly naive she was portrayed. While I understand that flawed characters are often intentional and can lead to strong development arcs, her lack of agency made it hard for me to stay invested. She frequently allows others to mistreat her and makes impulsive decisions that create more conflict, yet doesn’t seem to reflect or grow from them within this volume.
Additionally, several tropes, such as heavy miscommunication and relationship drama, felt overused and, at times, unnecessarily drawn out. Instead of building tension in a compelling way, these elements often made the story feel repetitive and, occasionally, frustrating to read.
That said, the “magic phone” concept stood out as the most engaging aspect. It brought humor and a unique perspective to the story, and I found myself wishing it played a more consistent role throughout.
Despite my frustrations, I will admit the drama kept me curious enough to want to know what happens next. However, I’m unsure if I’ll continue the series unless there is noticeable character growth in future volumes.
Overall, while the concept shows promise, this installment didn’t fully deliver for me. Readers who enjoy dramatic, trope-heavy romances may still find something to appreciate here.

Ce webtoon est la définition même de la 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐮𝐫 et de la mignonnerie. Je suis heureuse d’avoir découvert ce genre de lecture 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞.
L’intrigue tourne principalement autour de la romance et pour une amoureuse de romance j’ai été servi. Les personnages sont tous tellement mignons et attachants sauf quelques-uns que je ne supporte pas malgré mes tentatives de compréhension… 👀
J’avais peur du côté « triangle amoureux » de l’histoire car je n’aime pas du tout ça mais ici le triangle est léger et vous verrez que 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐞́ et légèrement addictif.
C’est vraiment un webtoon que je conseille à tout le monde et je vais même le faire lire à ma petite sœur de 14 ans qui je suis sûre aimera beaucoup! ✨

The way I was clicking the next page, and it wasn’t doing anything… Only to find out that was the LAST PAGE?! I was literally screaminggg.
This was soooo UGH!! I just wanna fight Minu so bad, and scream at Su-Ae to STAND UP.
Ra-Im also had meeee raging. I felt all types of ways w/ everyone, Eunhyeok is my fave though 🫶🏽
I love a broody, chill MMC. And the banter? I love it. You can totally tell he’s a sweetie too like 😭🤍
And then the phone situation?!
I’m still so curious about that, esp since the intro in the beginning— Ahhhh!!!!
I guess we’re gonna have to wait and find it

am so torn on this one! The premise of a sentient flip phone that tracks love ratings is such a cool chaotic K drama hook, but I left Volume 1 feeling like I wanted more.
I kept waiting for more scenes with the phone and the love ratings, but it felt a bit sidelined. Also, while the art is gorgeous, I have never been a huge fan of the super insecure girl and hottest guy ever trope. It feels like there is some character development missing to make their connection feel earned.
The biggest letdown was the ending. I know it is an ongoing webtoon, but this volume ended so abruptly that it did not even feel like a cliffhanger; it just felt like the middle of a chapter.
I am curious enough to keep reading to see if the pacing picks up in Vol. 2, but this first installment felt a bit like a teaser.

I unfortunately didn't love this one. I felt like there should have been more of the jellypop based on the description. I also didn't like where it ended. I know it was episodes 1-10 but I just feel like where it ended was really abrupt.
I did like the plot overall. A sentient cell phone is definitely not something I've read before so I was really interested in it. I would read the next volume to see if it picks up more for me.

I struggled to get into this one at first but once I got maybe 20 pages in I was hooked. I wasn’t too invested in the characters outside of Eunhyeok and Su-ae but I am super curious to find out what happens next. There was so much going on throughout the entire story it was like watching a chaotic kdrama unfold. I loved it
