Emmie Parker has just landed her dream job. She lives in a home and a community she loves, surrounded by a wonderful group of friends. Life is good for Emmie—until she receives a phone call that turns her world upside down.

The sudden death of Emmie’s twin brother, Eli, is hard enough to face. But when she receives a letter found by his best friend after his death, she must grapple not only with his loss, but with a request that literally and figuratively moves her out of her comfort zone and sends her on an unexpected and unusual road trip across the country.

Emmie revisits all of the places she and her brother lived while growing up as military kids. Along the way, she learns things about her family—and herself—that are surprising and healing. And she discovers a part of her history that she thought was gone forever.

Buckle up and come along for the ride....

Becoming Unbroken is a tender, heartfelt story about grief, healing, and rediscovering oneself. Mindy Grant beautifully captures the bond between siblings and the quiet strength found in honoring love after loss. Emmie’s emotional road trip is both poignant and uplifting, blending reflection, family history, and personal growth into a deeply moving journey. Warm, sincere, and quietly powerful, this novel is a comforting reminder that healing often begins where the heart is most afraid to go.

Becoming Unbroken is a deeply emotional and beautifully written story that stayed with me long after I finished the final page. This is far more than a road trip novel. it’s a moving exploration of grief, family, identity, and the healing that can come from facing the past.
