Isla and Eamon's paths have been forced to cross again and again. When her best friend was kidnapped, and it was discovered that Isla is part of the demon hunter bloodline, everything changed. Isla's idea of who she is, who she could be, was distorted and twisted into something altogether new upon discovering the dark truth of her family. During her journey through the events in the Birds of Prey Duology, she found pieces of herself that she didn't know existed. The violence she extracted against those who would hurt her loved ones made her blood sing, but now she's forced to face the consequences of that choice.
Eamon had warned them. Several times, he cautioned that he would not hesitate to take action if Isla’s involvement jeopardized her safety and the safety of others. The magic coursing through her blood is too powerful to fall into the hands of the Sanctus Sculitis. Everyone may hate him for what he has to do, but if that’s the price he must pay to continue his fight against the cult-like militant organization, then so be it.
How hard could it be to live 15 feet underground and hundreds of miles away from civilization with the most frustrating little mortal he's ever met?
Harpy is a scorching, captive/captor paranormal dark romance set in the Birds of Prey Universe, featuring two beloved, slightly unhinged side characters from the duology.
Karlee is a paranormal romance author who loves the unconventional, anti-hero love interests. She creates characters who are deeply flawed portrayals of trauma, the kind of character readers will be able to see themselves in and feel a little bit less alone. Of course, along side that, she lives for love stories. The dirty kind, obviously.
She lives with her husband and daughter in Arizona, soaking up the sunshine as much as possible when she's not stuck in her fantasy worlds.
Isla and Eamon are life. Panty melting spice with all the banter and HEATTTT. Like Arizona desert hot. Harpy was the perfect continuation to the Birds of Prey series and wrapped things up nicely. The energy between these two is to die for. Eamon might be my favorite of the demon boys now. What a spicy hunk of demon meat he is! Always happy to be back in the BOP universe and if this is it, I can die happy... if not, I'M ALWAYS READY FOR MORE!
Okay I had to get my emotions in check to even review this. Talk about making my gash gush and my eyes water.
After reading the birds of prey books I have been waiting for Isla and eamon’s story and it didn’t disappoint. It’s not a spicy as BOP nor is it as funny it is however heartbreakingly beautiful. It hits home for those of us that have struggles with religion and parents that only idolise you in their image. It gives a nod to the rebellious bi first born daughters that PAVE THE WAY for the entire second generation of the family.
I felt so seen by this book, I’m not sure if that was karlee’s goal but to me this is one that will stay with me forever. The banter was on point the spice was fireeeee but it was the emotional and physical GLOW UP that really did it for me.
I had to take my time with this story because the beginning was rough for me. (Check your triggers guys, this one starts right off the bat.)
This story became so much more from how it began. Eamon and Isla start off absolutely hating each other especially when he takes her and hides her in isolation to keep her safe. This has a horrible effect on her mental health and Eamon has to learn how to keep her safe and alive. The spice and banter is beautiful. These two start out hating each other then become so much more.
If the dedication doesn’t drag you into this book, we’re not friends!
‘It’s for every person that needed to become a monster to protect themselves from the monsters. And it’s for everyone that had a visceral reaction to demon Dean and knows we were f*cking robbed.’
‘Harpy: A Birds of Prey Story’ by Karlee Berrios @authorkarleeberrios picks up with Eamon basically kidnapping Isla so he can keep her safe from her cult family ‘The Sanctus’ who are hell bent on using Isla’s blood to make more demon killing weapons and trap in her an arranged abusive marriage.
Their relationship is very love/hate, with heavy on the hate but eventually while ripping each other’s clothes off, they let their walls down and start to care about each other. The spice in the book is a 5/5 for me, very 🔥.
My only complaint is when Isla finally learns that Eamon has been reading her mind and placing thoughts inside her head, she’s mad for not even 2 minutes, just basically lets it go because ‘she doesn’t wanna fight with him’ if there was ever a reason to fight, that violation would be it. But that might just be me as I would love some groveling Eamon!
This book was a perfect wrap up as it’s hauntingly beautiful as it deals with a lot trauma and healing. I know I’ll be visiting this trilogy again and again!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
‘Because neither one of us should be alone right now. So come sit, and we can use each other to fill the space the cruel voices in our heads would usually take up.’
‘Your cries of pleasure haunt me, Isla. You have no idea the power they have over me. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to be the cause of your pleasure. You’ve made me into a dangerous, feral thing just by existing.’
‘You’re so beautiful like this. Naked and flushed, wide open for me to play with.’

You need to read birds of prey duet to understand the characters ISLA AND EAMON in this book! Not required but it’ll make the reading experience a lot better.
I read the birds of prey last year and I got the amazing chance to arc reading this book this December I waited a WHOLE YEAR FOR THIS AND QUEEN KARLEE ATE ME UP AND LEFT ME AS A SACRIFICE FOR DADDY E.
God I LOVEE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK to how Eamon was a legit simp for OUR BADASS FMC ISLA who has a lot of mental health issues which I also loved her so much and understood her struggles and pain.
This was definitely an angsty one filled with a lot of trauma from Islas side and eamon healing her. YES HE KIDNAPS HER to a bunker in the artic but like hot. And the training scenes really had me gushing like niagra falls. I lover how selfless isla was in worried about her friends and everyone else but her own pain. I could relate myself to isla in her pain how she pushes people away and Carries so much on her shoulders but her mechanism was too push people away but once eamon had a taste of her he was a bottom for her. Oh do you like whimpering because this man will whimper for even if the world was on fire.
This book has me breathless I was whimpering myself like PLS LET ME IN THE BOOK ILL BE A GOOD GIRL. Ugh the plot the enemies to lovers the demon smut fated mates? 😏 everything about this book was 20/20 hoping to see more of this universe.
If you loved the Birds of Prey duology by Karlee, then you simply must read Harpy to tie it up with a beautiful bow. Yes, Eamon is a tad bit darker than Cas and Fritz, but he is a match made in heaven for our “little hunter” Isla. They meet each other spar for spar throughout the book and their enemies to lovers arc is probably one of my favorite of all time. I loved the way that Eamon didn’t let Isla take the easy way out of anything. He pushed her to be her best not only to protect herself, but to keep her safe and give himself peace of mind. And lemme tell you - the spice? *chefs kiss*. Eamon is so hot and will do ANYTHING if it means getting his girl off. Who wouldn’t want that? I’m sad the story of these characters is over but what an amazing ride and Harpy was the perfect farewell to my favorite demon couples.❤️🛁📚
After finishing the Birds of Prey duet, I have been so excited to read Harpy.
Isla and Eamon's story was an amazing continuation to the Birds of Prey world. The träuma healing for both main characters was depicted so well. It showed their struggles, the highs and lows, and everything in between.
The pining, ohh my gosh. Eamon wants Isla so so bad, and as dirty as his mouth and mind are, he gives Isla the room to heal and grow on her own, which is so dämn sexy. He also pushes her out of her comfort zone, encouraging her to become a stronger version of herself.
If you want to check out some monster romance by way of demon, I definitely recommend Harpy and the Birds of Prey duet.
This was my favorite! Eamon and Isla are my favorite.
Karlee takes us back in to the Birds of Prey world and delivers nothing short of a perfect enemies to Lovers story. Everything about this book was fantastic! The Banter, the spice, the humor, the plot, did i mention the SPICE!?
I WILL forever love this world and these characters ❤️
I've been eagerly awaiting Harpy for SO long and it did not disappoint!
I fell in love with Isla and Eamon in the Birds of Prey duology and I'm so happy they got their own story. This is a paranormal romance between a demon and a human. This is a captive/captor romance and contains some pretty frequent and spicy scenes!
In an attempt to keep her safe, Eamon forces Isla to move into his hidden bunker home, far away from her friends and the life she has built for herself. Isla is a person of interest for a demon hunting cult that just so happens to be her family. So...Eamon kidnaps Isla to protect her from being kidnapped! Isla and Eamon are at each other's throats from page 1. This turns into some sexual tension and their relationship goes from hate to tolerate to love.
I always love reading from Karlee, she has a way of making you feel all of the emotions within one book. I laughed, cried, and definitely tried to yell at Isla once or twice through the pages. I highly recommend checking out both Harpy and the Birds of Prey series (Albatross and Shrike), especially if you are a monster fudger lover!
From the moment Eamon was introduced I’ve been dying to read his and Isla’s story and it was so good!
Isla is so incredibly relatable, and it’s everything she has gone through in it’s her cult family. Her being happy for her friends but also getting absolutely sloshed at the baby shower is so spot on realistic.
I LOVED their combat training, banter, and spicy hate smex scenes are a 10/10 good time. If you enjoyed Bel’s story, you’ll be obsessed with Isla’s. Or if you just like paranormal/monster romance now is the time to dive into this series! Isla’s story was everything I hoped it would be and more.
I met Eamon in Shrike, book two of the Birds of Prey Duology. The interaction between him and Isla was entertaining. They pick up with their enemies to lover's vibe in this book. Enjoyed this expansion of their story.
I already liked Isla and the more I got to know and hang out with Eamon, the more I fell for him. These two both have strong personalities. Which kept things very interesting between them. Regarding, the spicy scenes, because of their strong personalities, it made the interactions between them a bit like make up s#x.
The last third of the story is where it really picked up. I like this world that author, Karlee has created. This was a fast read for me.
I was so excited to read Harpy ! Eamon and Isla were already my favorite couple in BOP and I was so scared to be disappointed. Let me tell you something : I WAS NOT !
I was so happy to read more about their pov during BOP at the beginning. And then discovering their backstory… It was insanely good. The storyline was amazing, I loved to discover more about the cult and how Isla’s life was impacted. It was insightful and it helped better understand her reactions (same goes for Eamon’s and his backstory).
Now about the spice… 🌶️ WOW. Just wow. Eamon’s mouth was something else. The push and pull between them was out of this world.
Harpy is by far my favorite ! Thank you Karlee ✨

This was a very long awaited & insanely anticipated read for me. And it did not disappoint in the slightest. The BOP duology had my entire heart and I was beyond thrilled knowing that we were also getting Isla & Eamon’s story as well. This book was everything I hoped it would be & everything I could possibly want. Karlee has become one of my favorite authors and I absolutely live for her delicious creations. And Eamon? God don’t get me started on that hunk of demonic perfection. This book was perfect 🖤
5 ⭐️ 4🌶️ I love a good story about overcoming an extreme religious upbringing. Seeing Eamon help Isla over the course of this book become more comfortable with herself and her life was great. Their relationship started as enemies, him being her captor, but with all the best intentions on his part, even if he was constantly pissing her off. Their relationship didn’t seem forced, the fights, the lust, the obsession it all seemed very natural. I don’t know exactly how to put this in words, but Eamon’s change from just dirty talk to begging and praise really did it for me 😉
I already knew this was gonna be amazing before starting it & Karlee did not disappoint 👏🏻. Eamon & Isla’s story is my favorite so far. The enemies to lovers, the love to hate, the tension, the banter, just everything about this was perfection. And the SPICEEEE. 🥵 book 3 really tied up some loose ends from the first 2 books, but I’m wondering if we’re eventually gonna get another story in the BOP universe?! Al’s perhaps?? 👀
Harpy by Karlee Berrios is the third in the Birds of Prey Series and this story is everything! You need to read the other books in the series first so that you know who all the characters are. This one tells Isla and Eamon’s story and this book is 🔥 a very sexy, enemies to lovers, monster romance! This book was so good 💜
I knew going into this one that I was going to love the story of Isla and Eamon but nothing could’ve prepared me for just how much I fell in love with the characters, story line and writing. I had the time of my life reading Harpy and it kept me enthralled the entire time. I didn’t want the book to end!
Loved the story and I also fell in love with the characters of Isla and Eamon that Karlee created. This is book is in the same universe as the Birds of Prey series which I would recommend to read before Harpy. Eamon is a Demon & Isla is a hunter who's blood is valuable to her family.
Even though Eamon and Isla started out as enemies, I think their loneliness bought them together especially Isla. All Isla wanted was to be loved, to find her person and she found that in Eamon though it was not all plain sailing, especially the circumstances of how she ended up with Eamon in the first place. Eamon saw how strong Isla was even if she didn't, he trained her to become the hunter she could be. When Isla was feeling despair from her loneliness, Eamon bought her back from it. Eamon told Isla how he got his name and Eamon was willing to let his guard down to her and she was there for him.
Two lost souls who found each other.
So would I recommend this book - Yes Is it spicy - yes Good plot & characters - yes Would I like to see another book in this series - Absolutely Yes.
