The first flushing toilet was invented in 1596! – Entertaining facts for the loo

Author Jack Haynes not only owns a sizeable scope of little known facts, but he also has a polished sense of humor in sharing his knowledge as a viable pastime while isolated it the bathroom!

He opens his treasure trove of facts with a history of the physics of flushing and the science behind soap and cleanliness, then moves on to the bathroom sink facts with some fine notes about halitosis and dental care, bacteria sources, and dermatology facts, then presents some interesting history of chamber pots and bathroom developments through time, followed by a series of ‘bathroom quirks’ of some famous people. Included in this ‘toilet collection’ are language idiosyncrasies, food facts and history, some trivia about famous artists and art in general, sports trivia, brain teasers and puzzles, mythology and folklore, celebrity notes, weird scientific discoveries and more and more. This little book is the perfect solution for making good use of the time in the loo!

Plenty of humor, interesting tidbits, fun knowledge, and things that make you wonder what you just read make this book a great addition to anyone's day. I didn't read it while on the pot though. 😂 I actually added a bit more entertainment to reading this book by choosing to read it in public with the cover in full view. People's reactions were almost as entertaining as the book's content. Haha

I read the physical paperback version, but there wasn't a listing for that so I am logging this under the kindle version.

It seems like the best thing to learn in this situation is to eat things that make your 'elimination' go faster so you don't have time to read a book during all the waiting. Haha!
