Game Winner

Rate this book
In the final installment of Levi Carr and Presley McCarthy’s story, he’s playing in the AHL in Pennsylvania while she’s back home in New York trying to finish school.

Presley’s only dream has been to go to law school. That goal has remained strong, and she's still trying to focus on that goal, even though Presley has fallen in love with Levi. He’s off playing hockey and now she has to deal with Levi being gone and having to wait almost a whole year to be with him again. Until there’s a change in plans.

Levi has been working towards an opportunity to play in the NHL his entire life. To reach that goal, he has to live away from Presley. He knows they can handle it for the time being because they are strong enough, but when Levi tries to deal with a set back, their love is tested again.

For Presley, school is first, and for Levi, it’s hockey. In the end, will that hurt their relationship, or will they finish with the game winner?

Back in January (when I was reading every Hockey Romance I could get my hands on) I stumbled onto the Penalty kill Trilogy! I was hooked on the story of Presley and Levi, and I couldn’t get enough! The wait for this third book was worth it though!

This trilogy focuses primarily on Levi and Presley (although her twin brother and best friend are also characters, with a small love story of their own!)

I loved being able to stick with these two for as long as we did, seeing their whole story. (Although that makes the book hangover even worse!) And I cannot say enough fantastic things about the co-authors dual voices! (A trick that is hard to pull off, but they do it well!)

I loved this series and recommend it to fans of sports romance, specifically hockey! It’s such a fun New Adult series!

I really enjoyed Game Winner. In the first book, Breakaway, Levi messes up and in the second, Off The Ice, Presley messes up so I was not sure what was in store for Game Winner. I like in this one that it is their own insecurities of the future and just life that worries both of them in their own way. Of course the book was HOT and I really enjoyed their story.

The third and final installment in the PENALTY KILL TRILOGY and I loved it. Some very surprising twists and turns. Usually in these types of books everything goes pretty smoothly, this one however a lot of real world problems. It added a lot of depth to the story, and made it more real. I'm really sorry to see Levi (well not as sorry to see him but REALLY sorry to see,) Press being done. I do love my smart redheads!

I was disappointed overall with this series. It had the potential to get better with each book but I find this last one to be lacking. It makes me wonder how Levi would have become if he would not have been able to play hockey. Even though his proposal was romantic, the ending of the book felt rushed. Feels like more can be said about their story.

Such a beautiful and perfect ending to this trilogy. The only that would have been more perfect would have been a epilogue years later showing their lives in the future. It was so well written and I could feel every emotion coming off the page. I picked this series at random to read and I fell in love with it from the first page.

The ending was a bit disappointing. It should have been longer with an epilogue or something
