Scrooged for the Holidays

Rate this book
GREER MALLORY doesn’t believe in fate, magic, or Christmas miracles. She believes in money, power, and keeping her “Ice Queen” heart frozen solid.

But when a snowstorm lands her in the hidden mountain town of Elysian Pines three nights before Christmas, she meets MALACHI, REMIEL, and SAMAEL—three men who aren’t just handsome, they’re something... otherworldly.

As things heat up between them, and visions of her past, present, and future grow impossible to ignore, Greer finds her Scrooge-like ways beginning to crack.

But will her time in Elysian Pines be enough to thaw her cold exterior?

Or will she let herself stay frozen for good?

Scrooged for the Holidays is a high-heat, MMMF, paranormal holiday romance. It features three Nephilim guardians and the "Scrooge" that steals their hearts.

Okay but listen.
This book had no business being this good.

Imagine A Christmas Carol getting a paranormal glow-up… then adding a poly romance 🤭

🎄 The Premise

Greer Mallory is the definition of an Ice Queen—cold, career-driven, and completely over Christmas. When a snowstorm strands her in Elysian Pines, a cozy, magical town that only appears when someone has lost their way, she’s forced to slow down.

Stuck at a charming inn, she meets Malachi, Remiel, and Samael—three dangerously alluring Nephilim guardians bound by a centuries-old bond. Through visions of her past, present, and future, they challenge her to confront the wounds that froze her heart—and the possibility that it might finally thaw.

❄️ Greer Mallory

Greer is successful, independent, and absolutely holds her own.

She’s built her life on work, power, and expectations, convincing herself that money meant safety and achievement meant acceptance. Over time, she let people believe whatever they wanted about her, stacking her walls higher and higher until even she couldn’t see past them. Somewhere along the way, she forgot how to lean on someone—or that life could be more than constantly proving her worth.

Watching her soften was my favorite part of the story. What I loved most was that the men never try to “fix” her. They simply guide her—showing her what she could have if she allowed herself not just to be enough, but to be loved.

➸ The Nephilim

💙 Malachi (The Past): Playful, nurturing, and naturally submissive, Kai brings warmth through humor, affection, and handmade pasta. Our angel boy 🪽

💛 Remiel (The Present): British accent. Daddy energy. Remi is the leader and emotional anchor of the group—and yes, he calls her love 🥺

🖤 Samael (The Future): Broody, cautious, and fiercely protective. Sam’s dark aura manifests as shadowy tendrils that radiate from him, and his presence is as intense as it is magnetic 🐙

Each man felt distinct, fully developed, and equally important—which is not easy to pull off in a poly romance. I genuinely adored all three 🫶

☃️ My Thoughts

This was such a win for me.

What surprised me most was the emotional depth. I truly thought I was signing up for festive smut—but every glimpse into Greer’s past, present, and future hit harder than expected, and I found myself getting misty-eyed more than once 🥹

The pacing stayed tight, nothing dragged, and everything felt intentional. Even the spicy scenes deepened the connection between the characters instead of overpowering it—and yes, I absolutely loved the tentacle scenes 🫠

🎧 Audiobook lovers: do yourself a favor and grab the audio. The full-cast duet narration (Samantha Brentmoor, Adam Gold, Sean Masters, and Grayson Owens) brought so much chemistry and emotion that it elevated the entire story.

👼🏻 Final Take

This was my first Kayla Grosse book, and I am officially a fan. If you’re in the mood for a spicy paranormal Christmas romance with heart, heat, and characters worth falling for—this is it.

Everything comes together beautifully by the end. I finished satisfied, emotional, and slightly obsessed 🖤❄️

This is a joyful little fever dream. It’s fun, indulgent, and clearly having a blast being exactly what it is. From start to finish, it’s a book that doesn’t take itself too seriously, which made it such an enjoyable ride.

While it’s full of spice, it was the quieter, character-driven moments that really stood out to me and gave the story so much unexpected heart. It may run a bit long, but it still keeps the energy and charm all the way through. If you want a festive read with plenty of heat, Christmas spirit, and a surprising emotional payoff, this is an easy recommendation.

A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite films, and this book draws inspiration from it. I was surprised to learn that Greer was the person who hated Christmas. However, I could understand why once her past was explained. Her character is one that any reader can easily relate to. When she found herself trapped in a magical town that looked like Christmas threw up all over it, I was geeked.

Samael, Malachi, and Remiel, being supernatural beings, added a fun twist to the story. Did I expect them to be romantically involved? NOPE. But I had the biggest smile on my face when that scene happened. I’m sure Greer enjoyed it too. The author put considerable thought into this story, and it showed. The visions, romance, and yearning made this an easy 5 star read for me.

It's rare for me to love a Christmas book, but Kayla always writes holiday books that become my all time favorites. If you love group play and the holidays, then pick this up!

I loved "Scrooged for the Holidays" by Kayla Grosse. God, what a book! I have loved almost all of Kayla's books up until this point, but her Christmas books are something else!! I have not dipped my toes into the paranormal romance pool too, too much, but if they are all like this book, I can see myself becoming addicted. This book is a modern-day half-angel half-human take on "A Christmas Carol," with a plus-sized FMC and three!!!!! MMCs. This story is absolutely *filthy,* and I loved every single second of it. More than that, this story is also surprisingly deep and emotional and important. The FMC, Greer, has been called an ice queen for years. It has made her cutthroat in business, ruthless with her friends and family, and closed off as a whole. She's happy where she's at, money-and career-wise, but is overall grumpy as a whole. She stumbles upon the small town of Elysian Pines on her way to possibly evicting a business on Christmas Eve. There, she meets Malachai, Remiel, and Samael, who are all half-angels, half-humans in a centuries-long relationship with one another. These three Nephilim are tasked with teaching Greer about her past, present, and future to help her heal the broken parts of herself that turned her into the ice queen she has become, should she choose to change her ways. They also might help her do that in more ways than one, if you catch my drift. Greer fits in with three Nephilim lovers perfectly, creating a unique, pleasing dynamic where each person gives a little something different to Greer and vice versa. I loved the Nephilim lore, mostly because it's not too in-depth and overwhelming to understand, perfect for beginners like me. Samantha Brentmore, Grayson Owens, Sean Masters, and Adam Gold bring these characters to life in a festive, dirty (complimentary!) way. I love the way they play off of one another to provide a believable, engaging, equal parts tender and skeptical audiobook narration for a story that's more than meets the eye. This book is so, so good, and you're going to want to read it ASAP!!

Thank you to NetGalley, Kayla Grosse, Dreamscape Select, and Fat Babe Publishing, INC. for the complimentary ALC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

Scrooged for the Holidays ended up being way more fun and unique than I expected. The town of Elysian Pines has this strange, magical vibe from the moment Greer arrives, and it pulls you in right away.

Greer is the ultimate “Ice Queen,” but watching her walls crack bit by bit was honestly my favorite part. And the three men she meets—Malachi, Remiel, and Samael—bring this intense, otherworldly energy that makes every scene with them feel charged.

I loved how it played off the classic Scrooge story without copying it. It keeps the spirit of the original but adds mystery, magic, and a whole lot of heat. The paranormal touches make it even more interesting, and everything comes together smoothly by the end.

A quick, spicy, festive read with a twist.

DNF 20% I love NetGalley for giving me the possibility to listen to this audiobook for free, but I fear I’m not an audiobook person (especially not spicy ones). I just can’t enjoy them… I am either bored or cringing all the time. So yeah this was my final attempt, I guess I’ll stick to read with my eyeballs

Magical Hidden Town
Forced Proximity

Starting off the festive reads strong with this book that has been on my TBR since the readers were shown months ago. It was worth the wait and I love the reverse Scrooge element along with hidden 'nods' to the original Christmas Carol.
I'm not gonna lie, it took me a while to warm to Greer (the FMC) but I'm guessing that was intentional as she is the 'Scrooge' in the story. The Nephiliam twist was nice as was the town that pulls in those in need. A very cosy festive read with a fair bit of spice to enjoy too, I would recommend to anyone who likes a good holiday romance.

3.5/5 🌶️

The second Kayla Grosse said she was releasing a MMMF paranormal holiday romance, it shot straight onto my TBR. No one blends spice with a whole lot of heart quite like Kayla. And she always gives us a plus-size FMC who gets adored exactly the way she deserves—this time by three sexy AF Nephilim guardians. You don’t see many paranormal romances centered on Nephilim, and I loved how fresh and fun that twist felt.

Greer is the perfect “Ice Queen turned reluctantly soft” heroine, and watching Malachi, Remiel, and Samael obsess over her was honestly a Christmas gift in itself. The story has magic, heat, and that cozy holiday charm—but with an edge that keeps you hooked.

And the audiobook? Incredible. It’s a full cast production with Adam Gold, Sean Masters, and Greyson Owens voicing the men and Samantha Brentmoor—one of my personal favorites—bringing Greer to life. They all delivered such strong performances and added so much depth and emotion to the story. The chemistry? Immaculate.

If you want a spicy, otherworldly, Christmas romance with heart, heat, and a heroine worth melting for, Scrooged for the Holidays is an absolute must-listen.

4.5! This book delivered so much more than it promised! MMMF, paranormal, great spicy scenes, but mostly: great kinky poly vibe. It's incredibly rare to find one with four people who all have their own unique personalities and dynamics! The only thing I liked less was Greer's starting point, it was... Big? She annoyed me quite a lot, but it passed. The narration is incredible; all the voice actors are exceptional and bring their characters to life. The deep male voices are to die for.

‘There’s no shame in leaning on someone. We all need it from time to time.’

This was a 3.5 star read for me, leaning more towards 3. I loved the premise of the grumpy woman getting to know her past, present and future. It definitely was a cosy (and spicey) winter read! There was a heartfelt message about finding your true self, accepting the past and choosing to keep seeing the good in people.

Yet somehow the story felt superficial to me, it didn’t fully grasp me the way other books do. At about 70% I just wanted the story to be over and done with.

I do love how Kayla Grosse described the spicey scenes. They were soft and detailed yet with enough room to imagine the full scene. I also loved the descriptions of the female main characters body.

I am curious about her other reads so will definitely give it a chance again in the future.

This was everything I didn’t know I needed?!

The audio? Holy fuck balls. Wow.
The mmm scenes before we were even getting started ?! Unf. Saving that for the spank bank.
And don’t even get me started on the literal tears from the last hour of this story, AFTER a group scene. Talk about emotional rollercoaster.

Beautiful plot AND more spice than I can even fathom? Especially the ⚔️ (phew those scenes were good).

Honestly take my money, this was so good.
If you can, listen to the audiobook of this. 11/10.

This was a fun, extra spicy Christmas Carol retelling. Greer treats Christmas like any other day and decides to spend her holiday by working, but this magical town has other plans for her. She finds herself snowed in without any wifi, at a cozy inn with THREE beautiful half angels who present her the Past, Present & Future. Ngl those flashbacks were so heartbreaking. I wanted to wrap Greer up in hug and tell her that she’s loved 🥹 Remi, Kai and Sam were so lovely to experience. They all had amazing personalities on their own but together they were hot AF!! Sam, my broody boi was my absolute fav hehe

The FMC was truly awful to read about. Her victim complex and horrible personality was so irritating that I could not continue reading it.

I understand that a Scrooge would be unlikeable but the reasons she has for her awful treatment of everybody was so insanely inane. Like, I literally grew up next to a wealthy family and had a best friend whose family never struggled financially, as opposed to my parents, but I never would’ve been so pathetic to see myself as such a victim, that I feel the need to belittle everyone else.

Greer had no reason to be as awful as she is. I don’t mind a morally grey character but her repeated ghastly behaviour is not at all redeemable to me especially as she had a nice, if albeit, slightly poor upbringing. Like where is the reasoning behind her being awful to people who are in the same position as she is in life? Like Holly the diner owner and the Inn worker who she shouted at and slammed a door in her face? It smacks of the type of person who is rude to retail and wait staff. Which I cannot abide. So, unfortunately for me, this is one of the worst books of the year.

This is a very deep and probably far too serious take of this festive-good-time-fluff book but it made me so annoyed to read about that I could not continue and I’m actually irritated. I’m British so rudeness is on par with murder.

So, in short, I hated it.

I loved this book so much! I went into it thinking it would be a cute and funny read, but in true Kayla fashion she gave us so much more! This book is full of depth. If you’re a fan of A Christmas Carol, this is the perfect retelling filled with all the nostalgia and holiday magic you could ever want, wrapped in Kayla’s signature warmth.

I loved the spin Kayla put on A Christmas Carol! Having the FMC be the grumpy “Scrooged” character was such a unique way to bring this story together. And having these three beautiful men guide her through her past, present, and future was soooo much fun to read about all while watching the chemistry between all four of them, which was HOTTTT!

SAMANTHA!!!!! AHHHHH! Everyone knows there is nothing Samantha Brentmoor can’t narrate, but hearing her play a grumpy FMC will always be one of my favorites! Not only does her confidence and attitude come through so well in her performances for these characters, but it’s the hidden vulnerability gets me every single time. Sam brought out all my favorite parts of Greer, and dare I say this might be a top Sammie B performance for me. There was just something about the way she brought Greer to life that I couldn’t get enough of!

The three men in this book are absolutely swoon-worthy, especially voiced by these narrators! Sean did an incredible job bringing Remiel to life. His deep voice fit this dominant character so perfectly. Remi was the first MMC I fell in love with in this book. His assertive daddy vibes were impossible not to fall for, and the way he tenderly cared for Sam, Kai, and then Greer came through so beautifully in Sean’s performance.

Malachi was right behind Remi for me he was so easy to love. He’s such a beautiful observer, and I adored how these men were both dominant and submissive with each other. They just knew what the others needed so flawlessly. Adding confident Greer into the mix only intensified the fun, layered dominance between all four characters.

And Adam did such an incredible job with his performance as Kai! The second I heard he was voicing Kai, I knew it was going to be good and it absolutely was. He brought out every playful and commanding part of Kai’s personality so well.

Samael took a little longer for me to fall head-over-heels for, HOWEVER once this man let his guard down he became such an amazing MMC. He just had rougher edges than the rest. Which I am always here for in a grumpy, closed off MMC. Especially performed by Grayson Owens! He has brought some of my favorite MMCs to life, and this one will go down as another favorite.

If you’re looking for a spicy, holiday why-choose book. LOOK NO FURTHER!!! This is exactly what you need!!

Idk why I decided to read a holiday novel - they are not my thing. But of course when I do, I pick a paranormal RH, cause why not?

I did not expect this book to be as cute as it was. I even teared up a little toward the end. And you can’t be mad at a retelling of a Christmas Carol, especially when the “ghosts” are hot, poly, and open to a fourth. All the characters are likable. You don’t get super in depth with them but it’s enough to move the story. The smut is smutting, but it’s not overwhelming. It is however a little cringe - I’m not a fan of the use of “daddy.” Also don’t love the mix of religious themes with smut. It’s just not my cup of tea. Using your “grace” to make butt stuff easier is just wild…diabolical even. However none of these things makes the overall book bad.

Overall, it’s a fun little holiday read. I can’t say I’ll read more holiday books, but I don’t regret reading this one.

This story follows Greer a workaholic who keeps everyone at arm’s length and has zero interest in celebrating Christmas. But everything changes when she stumbles into a magical town while putting business first. There, three guardians appear, ready to show her what her future could look like… If she’s willing to see it.

This was such a fun, moving magical read! First off the audiobook narration is fantastic. I absolutely devoured it. Every narrator brought so much personality to the story, and they all did a brilliant job. Don’t sleep on this one definitely pick it up in audio format.

Now, the storyline. This gave me Ghosts of Girlfriends Past vibes, but with the why choose element and an FMC who desperately needs a glimpse of her future to correct her course. I loved the concept of the magical town, and I really enjoyed Greer’s journey. She grows so much over time, reflecting on her choices and working to heal the relationships she’s pushed aside especially with her family and friends.

Even though it was emotional seeing her past, present, and potential future, the three men who serve as her guardians bring so much warmth. They’re supportive, caring, and genuinely want to help her see what her life could become. Remi, Sam, and Malachi were such a joy to read. I’m obsessed with them and how attentive they were to Greer’s every need and how they guide humans to reflect on choices they have made. I think I have to say Sam is my favourite then Malachi then Remi.

The spice was the perfect amount great scenes that enhanced the storyline without overpowering it. And the shadow tentacles? Absolutely illegal. Worth the experience.

I really enjoy Kayla’s work, and I’m already looking forward to whatever she writes next.

Story

The second I saw that it’s MMMF paranormal holiday romance, it shot straight onto my TBR and I applied for the ALC! There is a plus-size FMC who gets adored exactly the way she deserves—this time by three sexy AF Nephilim guardians. I haven’t read paranormal romance, that centers on Nephilim guardians, and I loved how fresh and fun that twist felt!

Elysian Pines is the perfect no-Wi-Fi, no-distractions setting for a snowed-in seduction. Greer is the perfect “Ice Queen” heroine, and watching Malachi, Remiel, and Samael obsess over her was honestly a Christmas gift in itself. Samuel, Ramiel, and Malachi our half-angel trio aren’t just hot. They’re boyfriends, with their own dynamic and emotional baggage, and watching them wrestle with whether they should be with Greer was delicious. Their relationship with her felt earned, messy, and healing in all the right ways.

The story has magic, heat, and that cozy holiday charm—but with an edge that keeps you hooked. The spice? Open door and unapologetic. Tentacle play, thigh worship, and emotional vulnerability all wrapped in snow and sweat. It’s not cozy—it’s cathartic. And it’s glorious.

This book never dragged. It was fast-paced, emotionally rich, and full of heart. I rooted for every single one of them, and I finished it feeling satisfied, spicy, and a little bit healed myself.

If you want a spicy, otherworldly, Christmas romance with heart, heat, and a heroine worth melting for, Scrooged for the Holidays is an absolute must-listen!

Audiobook

All the narrators, Samantha Brentmoor, Adam Gold, Sean Masters & Grayson Owens, delivered an exceptional performance, effortlessly inhabiting each character and using tone and energy to convey inner turmoil, moments of reflection, and self-doubt with vivid clarity. Their clear, steady voices and measured cadence perfectly matched the story’s varying moods, bringing depth and authenticity to every scene. They enhanced the listener’s experience and made the narrative both engaging and emotionally resonant. And the chemistry? Immaculate!
The audio production is clean and professional, with no technical distractions.

out 11/24!!!

What a fun and filthy take on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol — if Scrooge was a plus-sized baddie stranded in a hidden magical town and the ghosts of Christmas past/present/future were three hot as hell half-angel half-human Nephilim in a polyamorous relationship.

To be honest, I was expecting some brainless fun — but I was so pleasantly surprised by this story! Yes, there was smut but there was also an actual plot! I loved Greer's redemption journey: her healing, letting go of the Ice Queen persona she made herself be, letting herself be seen and loved, and thawing with the help of Remi, Kai, and Sam was a pleasure to witness.

Talking about pleasure... HOLY HOT!!! The spice was delicious. I don't blush often but Kayla Grosse managed it multiple times with this book.
Do yourself a favor and listen to the audiobook 🎧 — Samantha Brentmoor, Adam Gold, Grayson Owens and Sean Masters in duet narration knocked it out of the park!!! I have no words for how great (and HAWT) their performance was — fair warning: do NOT listen in public unless you have a stone cold poker face because DAYUM. 🥵

I loved the character dynamics — how profoundly Remi, Kai and Sam cared about each other and how deep their connection ran. How well Greer fit into their already established group and how they all interacted with each other. All four of them were exuding confidence (which was so attractive!) — Greer being mouthy, Kai being a cocky, flirty sunshine, Remi being the textbook definition of Big D*ck Energy, Sam's broody, fierce protectiveness: they all worked so well together!

I really appreciated how self-aware this book was, it wasn't trying to a literary masterpiece, and some parts felt really meta. The timeline was really short (which it acknowledged) but somehow it just worked! The ending wasn't something I expected but I was extremely touched and satisfied with how their story concluded.

Filled (hehe, filled... get it? 😏) with Christmas shenanigans, magical and paranormal elements, scorching hot spice, and all the Holiday vibes — a book perfect for the winter season!

I love it when the boyfriends are boyfriends. And there’s THREE of them? Well, if you didn’t already know, I love sharing and a good time was had with these men.

While I wasn’t the biggest fan of the FMC, it was to be understandable. I mean, she is a Scrooge and meant to be unlikeable. The men however, they really made this story for me. And the audiobook? Holy guacamole was it good and SPICY. Samantha Brentmoor, Adam Gold, Sean Masters, and Grayson Owens were PHENOMENAL. Like, I couldn’t get enough of them.

Oh and did I mention shadow tentacles are involved? Yeah, if you’re listening to this one (which I highly recommend) make sure those AirPods are fully charged.

My thoughts while reading:
🚨ALERT SPOILERS AHEAD🚨

I’m so excited for this ahhh!!!!

Omg then making Tim deliver news. Who is this tiny Tim!

“I still feel hungry and restless, like I could eat this plate and ask for more then chase down Sam, Kai, or both in the woods and fuck them senseless until we all passed out.” Omggggggg

This is such a fun story with elements of A Christmas Carol!!
“Kai showed him his past, me his present, and Sam his future, using our individual abilities to present him with what his life was, is, and could be depending on the path he chose.”

“I may be a Nephilim and drawn here on a mission, but I’m not immune to a good-looking woman.” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

“Is this radio station magic-themed or something?” !!!!!!!!

“She’s a hands girl.” God aren’t we all!!!

All I can think ab right now is how Greer’s breath is probably rockin from those truffle fries ahahah

Omg no!!! Greer told Avery Santa isn’t real 😭😭😭

“I had let the singing Nephilim, who were playing the part of town carolers, know they were no longer needed and could leave.” This made me laughhh hahaha

“That’s it, love. Good girl.” 😝😝🤭🤭

“Did you hear that, Malachi?” Remi asks. “Yes, Daddy. I heard.” AHHHHNEKCSJSKXJXKSNHEHEHEHJXJSJSJ

THIGHHHH RIDINGGGGG

“Dinner first. Then if you want me to fuck you with the wine bottle, I will.” OMG

“I’m both tall and plus-sized; it’s not often I feel small. But with these three men, I feel like a plump shrimp they all look ready to devour.” LOL WHAT HAHAHA

“I can’t remember the last time that I ate a woman out, but if I’m good at anything, it’s eating.” RELATABLE

“The last pair of eyes I see before I close the door are Sam’s along with what I swear is a pulse of dark shadows behind him that oddly reminds me of tentacles. That would be absolutely wacky, though. I guess I’m more tired than I thought.” Screaming omgggg

She can see Sam’s aura omggggg

Greer and Sam omgggg
When the grumpy begrudging one breaks it’s soooo good

“I trust you, Samael.” I glance at the shadow-tentacles swirling at my feet before looking back into his eyes. “All of you.” Those are the magic words, because Sam…unleashes.” Oh shhhhhiiiittttttt

Ugh I always cry at the Future parts 😭

A very naughty Scrooge story!

Greer doesn't really believe in fate, magic or Christmas miracles, instead this is a woman who is focused on her career, money, power and keeping her ice queen appearance up to scratch. When a snowstorm hits in a hidden mountain town three nights before Christmas she meets MALACHI, REMIEL, and SAMAEL who happen to not only be very very attractive but magical and here to give Greer her own scrooge like adventure in a very steamy way...

This was a very naughty book that had be blushing throughout! I loved all three men in this book and I loved how well developed and different they were. Listening to the audiobook it was always clear who was who and I never got confused. The difference in accents and how well written their characters were meant it was easy to distinguish and I had a liking to all of them for different reasons. As for Greer it was a slow start for me, I found her to be unlikeable and her ice queen image wasn't easy to adjust to at first but this was the whole point and a true Scrooge story, watching her soften up, change and become a better and more likeable person was fun to see unfold. The narration for Greer was full of emotion and passion and lets just say that those spicy scenes felt very real when listening!

Scrooged for Christmas was a fun take on a classic Christmas story and a very spicy one at that. At times I did feel as thought I needed a break from just how spicy it was and wanted a little more story but overall I had a lot of fun reading this and the ending was truly satisfying. I loved that she stuck to her character and kept some of those not so perfect parts of her. I would recommend this if you love a naughty Christmas tale and great plus size representation.

Known professionally and personally as the Ice Queen, Greer decides to spend the Christmas holidays getting a jump on some foreclosure notices on some underperforming businesses in her client portfolio.

After an unpleasant meeting in which she surprised the proprietress of a diner with her “suggestions”, Greer takes the cue to leave, heading into a snowstorm where she loses signal and ends up in a gorgeous Christmas wonderland - which she of course loathes - but her unexpected lost time is made infinitely better by the presence of three wildly handsome, enigmatic men who all seem very focused on her.

Of course nothing is quite as it seems, and the three men are in fact otherworldly, and Greer was sent to them for healing: something Remiel, Malachi, and Samael are uniquely suited to bring about.

They each show Greer her past, present, and a would-be future based upon her current life’s trajectory, but will she remember them at all when she must leave in three days to return to her life?

This was a wonderfully steamy, escapist Christmas Carol-ish reverse harem that’s perfect for cozy season.

I received an advance reader copy from the author, and I’m sharing my honest review.

Kayla Grosse does it again! This is a fun, spicy, heartwearming Christmas Carol/Scrooge-ish take, & is a fantastic addition to any holiday TBR!

Audio: This audio was SO GOOD! Full cast and duet?! What more could you ask for?! Samantha Brentmoor, Adam Gold, Sean Masters, & Grayson Owens are spectacular! The chemistry between them all is palpable, they are sexy, filthy, & are just perfect for their respective roles! Maybe one of my top audios this year!

Story: Kayla has a knack for bringing the heat and the heart to all of her stories, & this one was no different! I love that we get such a diverse and dynamic characters in this one, and boyyyyy where they delish! MMMF?! Makes for some insanely hot scenes!

I don't want to give everything away, but Greer is the epitome of "Scrooge", and Malachi, Remiel, and Samael are her "ghosts", but not really ghost. This one is a paranormal romance too, so you'll see hehe! I will say, Greer's growth & "thawing" in this was great to see! She kept her sassiness throughout too!

PS: I have a new shadow daddy (Sam) to add to my list of favorite shadow daddy's! And may have to explore some tentacle books now! LOL

**4.5 stars rounded to 5!

It was a fun and refreshing read for me. As a new author and a completely new concept, it definitely didn’t disappoint.

I really enjoyed the role reversal in this story. It was refreshing to see the woman take on the grumpy role for once. The dynamic was even more interesting with not one, but three male love interests, which added an entertaining and unique twist to the romance.

While tentacle play isn’t personally my thing, the spice overall was very well written and handled with care. I also expected there to be a lot more spice than there actually was, but in the end, I found the balance absolutely fine and fitting for the story.

Beyond the romance and spice, the story itself carried a lovely underlying message, which added emotional depth and made the book more meaningful than I initially expected.

Overall, Scrooged for the Holidays was an enjoyable, slightly unconventional holiday read that left me pleasantly surprised, and I’d definitely be open to reading more from Kayla Grosse in the future.
