Great collection of short creepy stories! The author does a great job weaving murder and the Christmas theme together. She brings her stories to life with her descriptive scenes and moves them quickly and smoothly delivering some terrific reads.

Dark

This book had 14 mini stories in it. Each other better than the last. All of them had holy scrap moments. They were so good. If you like short stories this is definitely for you.

A great collection of stories. They live up to the author's title promise to make your blood run cold. They were creepy. Short and creepy. The author has shown how family makes one choose the self over the Christmas good will to men. All the dead bodies in the stories will make you think you are about to be visited by Krampus rather than the old Saint Nick.

Absolutely loved these short stories, each one had me hooked and left me shocked at the end. I’ve struggled to concentrate on books this year, so this collection of short stories was perfect for me as I could read a story or two in one sitting. The winter theme was perfect to read in the run up to Christmas & New Year. I highly recommend this book as well as anything else written by C M Serpell. Fab author!

I love short stories and have read many. My opinion is that these are some of the best I have ever read. Love how Contents are written as leads to anticipation and does not disappoint. Short and sweet and some made me smile. Great endings.

Fantastic selection of short stories. Very imaginative way of weaving the Christmas theme through the different stories while staying true to the main murder theme.

Creepy and chilling short stories of murder at Christmastime. Dead By New Year is an easy and quick read. I really enjoyed this book and am eager to read more by Serpell.
