Lexi O'Malley #3

THREE POINT TURN

Rate this book
When a human bone is dropped at her feet, Lexi O’Malley is on the hunt again, this time trailing a little person with a big attitude. Complicating matters, her estranged, goody-two-shoes, little miss-perfect sister suddenly shows up after ten long years, wasted out of her mind and claiming she’s on the run after just killing her husband. Add to that her latest assignment from Nick Romano, her old childhood nemesis, to worm her way into the confidence of the wife of Romano Investigations latest client, and the fun begins. In this latest madcap adventure, Lexi is stalked by a sparkler throwing maniac, faces a gun wielding wife out for revenge and almost loses her life in a showdown with a brutal mobster.

When I was a kid I had lots of imaginary friends and we went on all kinds of crazy adventures. Sometimes I would confuse my playmates with my imaginary friends, causing the fabrication of visiting cousins from far far away, Never-Never-Land. This would result in interesting conversations at neighborhood gatherings during which my father would let loose with his boisterous laugh and then proceed to embellish these tales while my mother took on a horrified expression and my sister simply rolled her eyes.

Drawing from some of these childhood exploits, I began to write stories, but with a child to raise, bills to pay and business partners to satisfy, my writing was shoved to the back burner. Once life began to resemble something close to normal, I picked up my pen again--so to speak--and created Lexi O'Malley, finding writing a fun escape. Lexi's escapades are a bit more grown up and loaded with adventure, mystery, light romance and lots of humor.

D. M. (Donna Marie) Buckley was born and raised, and still lives in Tampa Florida with her husband and three cats, where she is currently hard at work on Carrefour, the next Lexi O'Malley adventure.

My Thoughts...

I've read two other books by this author and they were alright, however....this book was not my cup of doggie doodle. It was so filled with every kind of clinche' imaginable. It was very annoying to the point that the storyline was lost.

It was filled with so called jokes about one dog with diarrhea and one dog with bad smelling gas. The first time these things were addressed wasn't funny and to keep repeating the same old jokes over was very, very annoying. It reminded me of maybe two 13 years old boys writing this book the humor was so bad. But they were laying on the floor laughing their heads off thinking it was funny.

I hated this book and awarded it one stinkin' star.*

This book was gifted to me by the author, D. M. Buckley and I struggled to get it read. I found it very boring and uninteresting.

I did not receive any type of compensation for reading and reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers and authors I am under no obligation to write a positive review.
