Remind me to stop downloading books from stuff your kindle! I’m not sure if I’m just dumb and can’t read or if this was poorly written and made absolutely no sense.
The concept feels like the predator of Runyx Dark verse series and this FMC is no Morana. 15% in and things have escalated but I don’t even know how we got to the escalation . One minute someone is walking into the front door, next they somehow are at the bar and sitting, and then sucking earlobes??? Lmfao my mind is blown. Hard no for me

Snarky humour, interesting characters and great pace!
My first mafia romance and there were twists and turns all the way through. The dark romance involved some great banter and snark between the MCs, which keeps you invested in them securing their romance and keeps you intrigued. There are some obstacles along the way that need to be resolved, as you'd expect, and we are left with a big question at the end. I'm intrigued to see where the story leads in the sequel.
I admit to glossing over the more graphic elements as I'm a bit squeamish but appreciate that maybe what some people who are drawn to this genre would love, so I've rated it as such.
Caitlin and Jax have a hot relationship, and I love the protection he has towards her. That's something I'd always look for in a lead man, and Ms. Robin didn't let me down! Can't wait to see what happens next...

This was my first read by this author and i won't lie, I was totally drawn in by that stunning cover!
Caitlin thinks shes suffered the worst in her life with the traumatic loss of her parents, but unfortunately thats just where her downfall as begins!
Twists bring her into the path of Jax and the sparks start to fly!
For what i believe was her first book it was definitely worth a wee read for sure.
Lets see whats happens next in book 2!

I enjoyed the storyline on this one, but there are a lot of exclamation marks used throughout the book 🫣 It kept putting me off.

I'd kinda fallen out with mafia romance. Until this one! I was not at all disappointed.
The chemistry nearly melted my Kindle. These two are hot!! There's a good balance of plot and spice. it is a dark romance so be warned.
This is book one in a duet. Don't panic, the necessary details are tied up (not the only thing/one). The main store continues in book two.
Caitlin needs to escape her brother. It just so happens that Carlos, the Russo Don, has a plan for his sister to spy on a rival. Possessive from the off, Jaxon takes Caitlin under his protection.
Get ready for steamy scenes and betrayals.

This is my first Mafia Romance, so knew it was going to be dark, and boy it is dark, but am so here for it.
Really enjoyed it and loved how Jaxon just falls under Caitlin's spell even though he should be wary of her, due to the nature of how they first meet. And then when he realises who she actually is, her connections and what she is doing, he knows that she is 'His', and she knows it.
Jaxon will do everything to keep Caitlin safe, so when her life is in serious danger he will do anything to save her, even if it means unaliving people to do it.
Beware of the trigger warnings, as some parts of are quite graphic.
Can't wait to read Wicked Secrets to find out what happens next.

This book was great, I couldn’t put it down. You’re instantly pulled into this dark world the author has created. You feel for Caitlin, who’s lost everyone she’s ever cared about and has no choice but become strong due to the abuse she suffers.
The heat and attraction between Caitlin and Jaxon is smoldering. It’s instant lust between the two of them and they can’t help gravitating to each other. Ooooo and the smut in this book is fabulous.
I can’t wait for book 2 in the duet after the way this book ends!

I loved this and can’t wait for the second book. I am going to meet the author in feb so wanted to read her book and she didn’t disappoint. However sometimes between chapters and perspectives, it felt like we had skipped ahead or faded to black at parts that didn’t help the flow but it didn’t ruin the book for me. It is a short read so overall pacing wasn’t too bad. I was left wondering but that’s great because there’s a second book so I can’t wait to see their story to unfold. I enjoyed the spice and I really want her to get revenge on her evil brother!

Our FMC is smarter than her brother gives her credit for, he is the don of the Russo family but treats her as if she is a nobody to use when he needs to. She is more underhanded than he gives her credit for, she ends up with a rival mafia boss, and thus gives him information that will be her brother’s downfall.
A mafia romance with some intrigue, v!ol3nce, lots of spice, secrets and betrayal. I quite enjoyed it, as it was a an easy read.

I love this book!
I love the storyline, the characters, banter, and spice! This book had me smiling, cringing at some gruesome parts and then laughing.
I love a book that pulls me in, and this book did that! I was gripped from the beginning as I was taken on a journey of twists!

Wow, la neta no sé qué leí, pero estuvo cool.
No fui fan de cómo estuvo escrito, pero me gustó la trama, pocas páginas y mucho spice.
me hiciera gustado saber un poco más sobre los protagonistas, y que furara un poco más la tensión inicial, me faltó el "slow burn" porque no entendí por qué se enamoraron tan rápido.
En general, estuvo pasable, super a gusto para leer un fin de semana.

Loved the dark violence of this surprisingly, broadening my reading. But absolutely loved it! Pretty Jealous of Caitlin, new book boyfriend in Jaxon. And I can’t wait for book two! I hope they hunt down Russo and kick his ass violence style.

I enjoyed the story and found it quite an easy read for a mafia romance book. I think the storyline was exciting. However, sometimes parts were rushed and would have liked more of a back story. I am looking forward to reading the second in the series.

The plot was okay, but overall it felt very rushed and I actually had to re-read a few sentences at times because it felt like I had missed something. Little bit disappointing

I loved this book it had me hooked from the start, the attraction between Caitlin and Jaxon is undeniable. The Russo Mafia Don is wicked, and I have been trying to unravel the lies he tells.
This is a dark romance book and will keep you in your toes.

Would have given it 0.2 stars if possible. The concept was good, but the execution was poor.

This had me from the beginning. It was undeniable the attraction between Caitlin and Jaxson, and the author wrote this so well. The interesting way she wove her brother into scenes made you hate him from the beginning. I can't wait for book two to see if my suspicions are correct ( I will not add my thoughts here). This was a fairly quick read, so no long-time commitments are needed. The writing lends to being quick and fast-paced, which is good for someone who wants to devour this book like i did.
